Hosts Jerry & Linda were wonderful. Beautiful location with amazing views of the lake. Classic knotty pine woodwork throughout the cottage. Clean and cozy inside with awesome fire pit, boat dock, and boats outside,
A very clean and quaint cabin on a Little Bass Lake. My husband fished 4 days and said they we’re the cleanest fish ever - and delicious! Can’t beat the sunset views of the lake, the paddle boat, a swimming dock, and a delightful spot for a fire each evening for roasting s’mores. Great proximity to Interlochen for trendy restaurants and all you need for your stay. Appreciated the kindness of the on-site owners, sharing suggestions and their beautiful place with us!
Quiet and serene location. Cottage was as described and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a quick two night stay. Jerry and Linda were gracious hosts. We would not hesitate to return.

Overall, a pleasant stay, but for no more than two people.
This property gets an A+ for hot water, cleanliness, scenic beauty and quiet. The knotty pine interior is rustic and charming; and the cabin is spic-and-span clean.
The area to be improved, however, is the sofa bed. The pullout is not comfortable at all (are they ever? I suggest bringing an inflatable bed to place on top of it,) and the couch itself is old and sagging in the middle. They might want to consider investing in a new one. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.
I recommend only a maximum of two people stay here at a time as it's very small. There were three in my party and it was pretty tight.
Overall rating B+
This is a tiny cabin, very rustic. But the scenery can not be more beautiful and the owners are friendly and hospitable. It's a short drive to Traverse City, easy to do in the summer when the weather is nice. A constructive comment: a mattress topper might make the bed a bit more comfortable. Also note: there is no air conditioning. I know this is common in Northern Michigan and it was a comfortable temperature for my needs. However, it might be an issue if anyone has allergies or asthma.
Very quiet area. The Bass Lake area was so peaceful. The hosts, Jerry and Linda were so kind and gave us dining suggestions that were fabulous.

Cozy, Clean & Private Property
My husband and I needed a short gate away during Memorial Weekend. This place was enough for us. Linda was always there and helpful. It is nice to have help is just next door, literally 👍🏼😊. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Cute little cabin on a beautiful lake. We enjoyed our stay! Very friendly owners.
Was just what we needed for the two of us. Beautiful views and cozy cottage.
The cozy kitchen was super cute and convenient. The bed was a bit on the hard side, and the bathroom was tiny but functional.
My daughters and I stayed here for a weekend away. The cabin was very clean and very small but was perfect for us. I had an issue completely unrelated to the cabin and the property manager was very helpful!

Rest an Relaxation Perfection!
This is a delightful cabin o. A beautiful small lake. Very quiet and peaceful. The property owners are on site and very friendly. There is a nice kitchen and an outdoor barbecue. The bed is comfy and the living room cozy. We will stay there again!
We just got home from our four night stay at this location. It's a cozy cabin on a smallish but beautiful lake. The owner/operators were kind and non-intrusive. The nature, fresh air and sunshine were a blessing. We enjoyed kayaking around the lake and a short paddle boat ride as well. The cabin was tidy and provided all we needed for our short stay.
We are already planning a return trip.
We stayed the weekend while attending a wedding in Interlochen and it was exactly what we were looking for. My sister and brother-in-law stayed in the other cottage. Bass Lake is small, gorgeous and quiet--perfect for paddle sports and unwinding. Linda and Gerry were outstanding hosts and we enjoyed sitting with them around the fire pit. Do note the cottage is small, but it was fine for our needs.

Quiet retreat
It was great place to decompress after a crazy year. Quiet, pretty lake an easy drive to a variety of things to do. Cozy retro cabin with lovely deck to watch bird feeders from. We didn't have time to fish this trip but Jerry said there is a big bass roaming around. Would be nice if summer pictures were posted to give a better feel for the place.
The cabin was nicely equipped. But we came to be out side . Fishing boat was tied to our dock and new deck was where we ate and sat in the evening’s also the fire pit was nice.
This little cabin is the perfect place to get away from it all, just steps from a small lake. The deck on the lakeshore is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The cabin is small, but cozy, and offers the basic comforts of home, minus TV, which was a plus. Booking and check-in was easy and Jerry was quick to respond when we had a question about connecting to the WIFI. We definitely will book again.

cozy cabin!
The cabin was extra cozy for our cold weekend up north. Being from a busy city, it was wonderful to get away to a nice quiet place by the water.
Cozy lil cabin in a beautiful location. Beautiful lake steps away from our front door! We enjoyed using the paddle boat and kayaks, fishing off the dock and just chillin on the deck watching all the birds and other wildlife. Owners Linda and Jerry were very attentive.
My husband and I stayed in this cabin for 4 nights. It was very clean and the location is amazing! The lake is literally right outside your door. We went swimming, fishing (bring your own poles), and kayaking. Linda and Jerry were very kind and helpful. We will be going back next year-for a week this time for sure!

Perfect Get-a-way
Wow! What a wonderful get-a-way for us. Perfect size, just right for the two of us. Great meals on our own personal deck, 1 foot from the lake. Bass lake is a quite and peaceful lake. Loon, hawks and even some eagles in sight. We loved the fact that Jerry and Linda have a 'shed' which is chock full of floaties and beach toys, marshmallow roasters, lounge chairs of different sizes. Cozy and good for our souls. This is actually our second time to stay this summer.
Weather is something that you can never depend on, including in Michigan. Thankfully, we had mostly brilliant weather, thus heaven on earth. But our last day, when we were packing up to leave, it poured rain, thunder and lightning. Still spectacular to be there to experience it. Snug and dry in the cabin. I think, after two stays in this charming cottage, don't always believe the Weather app. Yes, it can sprinkle or downpour, and then beautiful again.
Enough writing, but will close with WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN! Thank you, Linda and Jerry. You are both the best of hosts. Cheers.

Slice of heaven
Wow, this was just what we needed. Right now, in the midst of the pandemic and the craziness in the world, it was truly a bit of heaven for us.
The one bedroom cabin is literally 12 steps from the dock. Bass Lake is quiet, peaceful, clean and so much fun to swim, float, kayak, paddleboat and more in.
Everything that we needed. Gerry and Linda were great hosts. They helped us out with whatever was needed, but they were never just hanging about. We felt like we were pretty much alone.
We've already booked another time later in the month...just because we can!
THANK YOU.
Jerry and Linda were very nice and easy to work with. The cabin was clean and just the right size for us. Being on a lake was great, fishing and swimming just steps away. We would definitely stay there again and bring more people next time!
