Cozy place, best for just a couple people. Place could be cleaner, kitchen cookware could be improved and updated, and washer could use a cleaning. The neighbors are not friendly. I was taking a midday walk talking on the phone and one of the neighbors called the police on me due to recent break-ins. The lady neighbor stopped to interrogate me, and I told her the Truth on how to prevent break-ins by placing Jesus Christ name above all external doorways which will prevent the devil from entering as Jesus Christ is the passover lamb. She didn't want to hear about that and called the police right away. I told the police the same thing and at least they showed a bit of interest in the Truth and spiritual technology that I provided. I probably won't stay their again due to the unfriendly neighbor, but the rates are good.

Perfect accomodations for a weekend at a very pretty lake and area. Nice neighborhood, good proximity to lake, town of Stockton, and clean, spacious studio with nice kitchen.

Stockton fishing trip

Had a great stay. Our trip was all about fishing, and this put us in a great location to launch our boat and get on the water every day.

First time at Stockton

Very clean property and excellent host. Close to Stockton town and amenities. Parking with bass boat was very easy on roadside parking and power was easily accessible at the light post. Overall great trip. Will definitely come again.

Wonderful place to stay!

We loved staying here and were so satisfied with the location. Communication from the host was also excellent and he was very inviting. Access to the lake was really close and the neighborhood was also inviting. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Family Visit

This place was fantastic for our visit. They had a king size bed, then the couch turned into a queen size bed. They had the pots, pans, plates, etc. that we needed. Having the stove, fridge & microwave saved us alot of money from us not having to go out & eat all the time. It was close enough to town that if we needed anything, we could just run into town. The place was exceptionally clean all the way thru it. I was so impressed that I'll definitely rent it again next time I come up to Stockton, which will be a couple more times this summer.

Great place to stay, especially when compared to getting a hotel room with less amenities. The room was spotless and quaint. Everything was provided for a great stay. Brad was super responsive and was truly interested in our trip and what our plans were in the area.I’d definitely stay here again without hesitation!

Yearly lake vacation with family

Wonderful house with all the amenities you could want and then some. Communication prompt. We have stayed here every year for several years and we're planning again for next year. Perfect location. Clean and comfortable. Lovely outdoor deck, seating & grill. Very well stocked kitchen. Games for the kids, which they love. We find this place very comfortable and relaxing. Thank you for a safe haven to make wonderful memories with our family! Everyone looks forward to next year!!

Charming vacation rental near the lake

My wife and I were visiting the Stockton lake area to catch up with old friends and found this place to be clean, inviting and very charming. It’s very close to the lake with boat launch access for those with a boat. We found the owner of the property to be very communicative, pleasant and helpful. This will be our rental of choice when we come back to the area.

Better than i could of imagined

The owner called ahead of time to let me know about the property & the community. The Roe's Roost was the perfect place to relax, swim, eat, & enjoy. Im definitely coming back & i highly recommend this place if you need to recharge. I couldn't of asked for a better vacation.

Perfect little place.

This was the perfect little place to stay on our fishing trip to Stockton Lake. While we didn't have a lot of luck fishing as the water was way down and we had some trouble with our boat, this was such a cute place to spend our evenings and fix breakfast everymorning. Friendly neighborhood and peaceful and quiet just like we like it. Brad Shull was great to call and give us a head's up about a few things as well.

Great Place Great Stay

Stayed for 3 nights honestly could not have been happier. I typically go the hotel route when traveling, but decided to give this place a try and it exceeded any and all expectations!! The place was clean, cozy, and had everything you need to have a relaxing trip. Host was communicative and extremely pleasant to work with. I will definitely be staying here again for sure. Thanks again for everything!

Fisherman's getaway or young family

This property is a great getaway stay for fisherman that are meeting up with friends to spend time at the lake. Coffee maker, microwave, fridge. Simple amenities and a place to rest between outings. Very homey. Property on street corner. Rental is second floor of house. Quiet neighborhood when we were there.
