„Hoa‘s Shed“ is a newly renovated farm shed. It has two comfortable rooms with double beds, TV, internet, dining table, sofas. For something different the kitchen is outdoors but fully sheltered with outdoor table and chairs. It has a fridge/ freezer, mini oven , electric freepan, toaster, electric fruit juice, washing machine and cooking appliances.
„Hoa‘s Shed“ is a beautiful, relaxing place to stay.

A great place to stay

It was a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, with exceptionally comfortable beds. A great location to My Maunganui and the city. Kaiate Falls is close by and worth a visit. Enjoyed our stay.

Amazing getaway!

Such a great place with an outdoor feeling. Weather was perfect with a great atmosphere too! Will definitely stay again. The beach was not close by but stunning views. But the coconut trees sure gave us the holiday vibe. The bach was perfect, lots of room and it was so clean! Bonus to the owner Hoa for the bottle of wine too! Overall the place made our long weekend great!

One Love weekend

One Love was cancelled due to weather but we still had a lovely stay. Only issue was the toilet not flushing very well.

Huge Disappointment

Our recent stay at Hoa's Shed was anything but relaxing. The reviews and descriptions on the website were highly misleading. The place was filthy with spider webs and dust, and it took us two hours to clean it enough to sleep. The furniture was worn-out, and the outside furniture was very dirty and covered in bird droppings and mould. The property manager's solution was to give us an old curtain, claiming it was specially made for couches. Upon arrival, we discovered a campervan and a landscaping truck parked directly in front of the property, with the property manager informing us that the premises were also used by his landscaping business. The Wi-Fi was frustratingly slow, and none of their streaming apps worked. The toilet got backed up on the first night and the septic tank had to be pumped out, surely this needed to be checked/dealt with before guest arrival. We also had to endure strangers staying on the property in their broken-down camper on the first night - we were just informed of this after arrival. To add to the disappointment, noise levels were unbearable due to the neighbouring rental property, playing music until 4 am and behaving in a disturbing manner including standing on top of their vehicles while driving past multiple times. Despite raising our concerns with the owners, their initial apology turned into when we requested some form of discount. They indirectly implied that we were lying about the cleanliness of the property. Stay away!!

Spacious, Quiet and Clean Property

We enjoyed our stay there. Our host Hoa is super friendly. The property is clean and quiet. Would be perfect if the bathroom is inside as it is a bit cold to go outside to the bathroom at night in colder months. Kitchen is also outside but it is good to be just outside. Would also be good to have some sauce pans to boil food.

Below expectations

Nice place good location however not clean , confusion with property manager and cleaner about arrival day and time . Wifi not working and due to long weekend unable to resolve technical difficulties a long five days. Host’s even though out of the country kept in communication and did everything they could to try and resolve issue.

Great spot!

Great location only a short drive away from malls beachs and nature walks etc.. Tidy rooms and super cool feel with outdoor kitchen makes for a lovely evening meal or morning cuppa in the sun

The shed

The property is quite nice and has done up very neatly . Location is pretty good for the price you pay with a 15-20 minute drive to the main beach .

Family friendly

Great place to stay. Very clean and tidy. Very spacious/comfortable rooms. We had two young children under 3 who enjoyed the wide variety of books and the outdoor kitchen area to ride their balance bikes around in. Very close to Papamoa plaza and beach. We had a really nice time staying here.

We Loved this beautiful setup, it was like camping with an open kitchen with plenty of space.

We absolutely loved the beautiful setup, with its open kitchen fully equid, both the rooms were large with plenty room. Very clean and Tidy, lots of running space for the kids, Smart tv was a bonus in one of the room. You had the choice of eating inside or outside where the kitchen was. Everything that was said on applying for this place was spot on. We will definitly visit Hoa Shed next time we come to see my son, It was a camping feel which we loved. Thankyou for the experience, and Thankyou for having us Hoa Shed
