Bug issues

The apartment was mostly good. It had a lot of space, and the two outdoor spaces were really nice. The area is also pretty cool and it’s close to everything. There were some issues with bugs. There were a lot of tiny little ant(?) bugs that were all over the apartment. When I tried to reach out I got absolutely no response. We did what we could to not leave water anywhere including in a glass by the bed because they seemed to like water. The whole place could’ve been a bit cleaner. We noticed a thick layer of dust on the bedside lamps and when we took the sheets off the bed at the end of our stay as requested, the bedding was really stained and kinda gross. I would love to not have to write that but I feel like it would not be fair to other people looking to stay here and perhaps this feedback can help.

Kihei fun

Very nice condo that had all we needed. Plenty of towels and soap. Easy check in and out. Grounds were beautiful. Only complaint is that the pool had too many rules. Couldn’t play with a ball we had or play Marco Polo! Otherwise it was a great place and would recommend.

Exactly what we wanted

I went through all the reviews for this property and decided to pack the things that others found lacking. Dishwasher soap, laundry soap, beach towels, shampoo, conditioner, even sharp knives. However, it was clear that the owners had acted on every single complaint in those reviews and supplied everything that was needed in abundance. Even the stained carpet that some complained about has been replaced with stylish laminate flooring. And the "air mattress" turned out to be a super comfortable queen sized pull-out couch. It was a short walk to Keawakapu for snorkeling, boat launch for watching turtles, Kihei beach and even some shops and eateries. It was the perfect place for us.

Beautiful condo in an awesome high-end area. Everything was great except we didn't have laundry soap for the washer. Host was very accommodating and it was clean. Comfortable bed and helpful to have a small cooler and beach umbrella.

We were so very pleased with our stay. This condo was absolutely beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed to make our stay an awesome one!! Everything from shampoo to a boogie board & fins were provided for our use. We were even able to wash our clothes before we left. We will absolutely be staying there on our next trip to Maui. Mahalo nui.....

Kehei Condo near the beach

This unit is in a fabulous location within the complex and also on the island. The beach is a few minute walk down a manageable hill. The grounds are beautiful with lovely plantings and so many birds. Both pools are close by. The lanai has a fabulous partial ocean view and the ground floor location is wonderful. Sitting on the lanai was my favourite part of the unit. The unit was clean and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen is very dated which I don't mind but more importantly the content of the kitchen could be improved. For example the knives are incredibly old, there was no toaster, the pans are warped and the cooking utensils are incomplete. There were only 5 dishwasher tabs left for our 7 night stay and there were no kitchen cleaning supplies. The carpet is very old and has a number of stains- it should be replaced but it did appear clean. Provided you get a discount on this unit relative to others I would recommend it as we felt it was good value for the price we paid. But if the price is similar to other units I would shop around.

Needs cleaning

We have stayed at this condo complex many times and has very nice grounds and pools close walk to beaches. But first time stay in this unit, could use a very good deep cleaning, new towels, to replace stained and bleach out old ones.

Needs attention

This condo overall has it all. Location access and it’s pretty big. But there are issues. I arrived and the bed comforter has a giant stain on it. A giant yellow stain. Upon removal the sheets were just as bad. Good thing I always bring my own sheets and blankets. It was not properly stocked. I ended up having to buy toilet paper and paper towels after 3 days as I came with a family of 4 and was only given one of each. Now. The TV. That was a computer monitor size. Like what why? The carpet was stained badly in the living room and it made me queezy walking on it barefoot.

The condo itself was great. It has everything you need and then some. The only issue I had was that it was dirty. The comforter on the bed was stained in many places. The sheets were also dirty. There were major stains on the carpet all around. And there was some little tiny bugs all over. It was stocked with only 1 roll Of napkins and 2 toilet paper rolls for a family of 4 for a week. I just feel it could have been a bit better prepared. The good thing was I brought me own sheets and blankets otherwise I would not have been happy at all.

This is a great condo. Very comfortable and has ALL the amenities. Easy to get around from here

This condo is located in what we’ve decided is the best location on the island. The best beaches are across the road. We could watch turtles at night. Walk down to the beach in the morning. Glimpse of the ocean from here, outside patio was great for morning coffees. The hot tub was too hot, and closed too early. My only complaint. Definitely recommend this condo. Fast responses when we had questions or needed something.

Stay in Kihei

The location is great! The space and layout is great. There was zero toiletries provided (shampoo, soap, conditioner). No towels in bathrooms. Wet stuff left in dryer upon arrival. Some rude nosey permanent residents in unit.

Clean and spacious

Spacious and clean house. Very close to the beach. ~1mi. walk to the cluster of bars/restaurants in Kihei.

Take note

Arrived late to find no towels… dryer was broken, filled with damp towels. No notification of this. One flat sheet for the pull-out couch… again dryer was broken. Spoke with the owner the next morning. Cleaning woman arrived around 10 am the next day with clean towels and sheets. Maintenance guy fixed the dryer. Place needs a good cleaning and carpet needs replacing. Petty, however some light bulbs were out. Sand poured out of beach loungers…all over floor. Unit smelled of stale cigarette smoke believed to be from the unit above. Received a small refund from Evolve for the inconvenience. Owner was apologetic… however this was not how I wanted to start my holiday.

Needs a lot of work

This property can best be described as a fantastic location & condo complex, but seriously subpar interior. As far as good things go - most of the appliances work great, and this unit has some nice square footage, good sized kitchen and fridge, and the second bathroom is a real plus! Kitchen has most of what you need (minus plasticware for small kids). Water pressure was great, though hot water ran out after the second shower. The boogie board in the closet was new and worked great. On the *other* side, if you are a seasoned traveler to Maui, you will recognize immediately that the owner of this complex is new to ownership. There was mold in the A/C units, and there was mold on the seals for the refrigerator. There were stained couch cushions, and dirty dining table cushions. There are mold/humidity spots on all the lampshades. There were folded sheets in the linen closet that were put away dirty. The bathroom linens were okay, but the provided beach towels were old and ratty, and one had some hard crusty stuff on it. Of the two chairs provided, one had mold or old sunscreen imbedded in it, so it definitely wasn't cleaned after the previous use. If you have any issues with or allergies to cigarette smoke, you do not want this unit. It smelled terribly of smoke upon arrival, and come to find out the folks above are constant smokers. So sitting outside on the lovely lanai is not an option if you are allergic, or if you have small children. When this condo complex was rezoned for vacation rentals back in the day, apparently the unit above was grandfathered in as a smoking unit, so it's totally allowed, and they do not have to stay in the designated smoking areas of the complex. When I asked the owner about it, he had no clue, I had to call the admin bldg. to get an answer. The unit says it sleeps 4, but with the hot water issues, you best keep them real quick! The complex (Maui Kamaole) is fantastic for families, but I wouldn't recommend this particular unit for families - both from a safety, hot water, and cleanliness standpoint. Would be fitting for young college singles...? Because of the mold and cigarette smoke, our first two days were hardly enjoyable. The owner refused to give any kind of refund for the health hazard issues, which is problematic for me. We also had to buy our own towels, sand toys, chairs, cooler, etc. We would have been better off paying $15 more a night for a clean, stocked unit.

Nice place and location

The apartment looks exactly like on pictures and feels even more spacious. We were pleasantly surprised. It a also very close to the beach and park, just 5 min walk. And as it is located on a hill, it is quite condos, than others located along the road. There are also some beach staff that we loved to use. Very convenient. The owner were very responsive when we had a couple of issues, and we appreciate his quick help. Meanwhile, these issues reveals that the cleaning were not made properly prior our arrival. As if the master bathroom were cleaned the housekeeper would notice that the light does not work. The toilet were leaking and both AC's filters had to be replaced. Once again, when we addressed these issues, it were solved quickly. But still apartment needs to be cleaned properly as it is pretty dusty at some places. Also although the apartment is none-smoking the neighbours are smoking. So we did not have a chance to enjoy the breakfast in the garden at morning and breath the fresh air. They have smoked not just cigarettes but weed too. We didn't like it and it were another issue for us. Overall it is nice and will be better with proper cleaning

Beautiful location

This place is beautiful. The grounds are nice, the pools are awesome, and the accommodations are clean and cozy. Would definitely recommend!
