Had a wonderful time. The house is clean and well stocked. Comfortable beds. The kayaks and bicycles are a great bonus for active guests. Beautiful view, best at sunrise. The host was responsive and helpful. We'll be happy to return.

Outstanding stay, very clean, quiet, easy access to beaches, seafood restaurants. We were there for fishing and hunting. The house was in great shape, modern with lots of kitchen wares for cooking.

Amazing Property for Kayakers

We had a group of 4 stay here for the Rock the Dock fishing tournament in Panacea. We brought kayaks and were able to launch from the house and access great fishing in minutes! The property is super clean and updated. And I have not slept on a comfier bed at any other vacation rental property. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon!

Awesome views in a quiet area

Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Safe and quiet area. Enjoyed the views through large windows from the great room as well as the high front deck facing the bayou. Kitchen had everything we needed. Appreciated the supportive bamboo mattress in the master bedroom. Awesome shower; bring your own hair dryer. Enjoyed several afteroon excursions in the well-used canoe using broken halves of kayak paddles to propel ourselves. Saw dolphins! My husband was able to use one of the rusty bikes to ride beside me while I went for a run. We bought small baking racks to use over the broken charcoal grill's grate, which was rusted through. If you are an early morning canoe or kayak user, schedule your visit when high tide is closer to your launch time. High tides were about 2am and 5pm with sunset at 6pm when we were there, and most mornings there was only mud at the end of the dock at sunrise around 7am. Not an issue for us. Fun and relaxing adventures: Walked on the sunny beach and boardwalk at Bald Point State Park while it was below zero back home in Minnesota; hiked longer than we planned starting at the Cathedral of the Palms trailhead (Shell Point Rd & Spring Creek Hwy); toured the Shell Point Beach area from the water by canoe; bought shrimp and scallops from My Way Seafood in Panacea; drove to Crawfordville a few times for the great selection of groceries (especially organics) at Wal-Mart; watched the interesting variety of birds in the bayou.

Live Oak Island trip

We were looking to take in “Old Florida “ for a relaxing vacation. We found it! This house, located on a tidal salt marsh, was a perfect home base to explore the area. The fishing was good and the quiet was great! The house met or exceeded all of our expectations. The floating dock was perfect for our kayak and night fishing at high tide. We were able to see an abundance of wildlife. We will definitely be back!

Great VRBO, just as described. The house was very clean and well stocked. We made use of the bikes and kayaks. We toured some of the local state and national parks.

Great place for isolation, peace, and quiet.

We had a wonderful stay here, the location was quiet and peaceful. You could Kayak almost directly out of the front door! The only thing I wished was different, was that there were a lot of no trespassing signs in the neighborhood, so you couldn't really walk around that much and there were limited things that you could do without driving. Overall it was a great place!

Special secluded place

This place was adorable. We couldn’t be happier with the location as we were looking for something away from the hustle and bustle but still near the beach. Two things I would recommend to the owners, one is a king size bed with a better mattress in the master bedroom, and better window coverings for all the bedrooms. This house was well done but it seemed like they were saving money on those items. Maybe with a few more renters you can afford to upgrade a little bit. We will definitely stay at this place again! We absolutely loved our morning coffee on the porch as well as our evening cocktails on the porch!

Great get away and very peaceful.

Great relaxing and peaceful. Only problem was the shower I’m guessing bath didn’t really drain good and water in master bath shower didn’t get hot. Ask if that’s been fixed before you rent.

2nd visit and another awesome experience

Love the location away from it all especially during COVID. Brought my own kayak but know there were several on site. Wish we used the bikes and could have had better weather but for the most part spent a lot of time on the water and enjoyed paddling the gulf/bay. Wasn’t particularly thrilled with “evolve” as the new property management facility asked a question a week in advance and they didn’t respond until the day I was checking in saying I need to propose the question to a different means to get an answer. Also it seems the daily price went up considerably since the switch to evolve ... I’m sure there is a reason.... but I much preferred using vrbo , home away or air B and B.

Peaceful...

Enjoyed multiple days with family relaxing enjoying the quiet little area. The house was spotless and well organized. We all enjoyed it and found some great places to eat. Outlaw oyster company has the best oysters around. Great little area. Will visit again.

Worth The Stay

We rented this property for a Christmas holiday stay and were not disappointed. The property is nicer than described and is very roomy, in a serene and peaceful location. The check in was easy. If you have a boat or if you fish there is a dock out front with a canal. If you like cooking there is a charcoal grill, a gas grill, and a a gas fryer on premises. There were several fire extinguishers on the property, which was a nice safety peace of mind. There were a couple of issues we contacted the the property manager about via email and they responded pretty quickly. We have stayed at a different property nearby before, but this would be our first pick next time we're up there.
