Location was great. This cabin needs a DEEP CLEANING! Dishwasher was full of dishes when we arrived floors were dirty dirty linens and towels on bed and in bathrooms! This was unacceptable we won't be back.

Lovely cabin in a peaceful area

My husband and I stayed in this cabin in April. The cabin is so lovely, and extremely peaceful. When you walk outside it is so quite, truly no noise can be heard. ❤️ a great place to reconnect with family and enjoy the most beautiful surroundings.

Backwoods cabin was the perfect place for our Thanksgiving holiday! It was clean, cozy, well stocked and just perfect for our needs! We had a family of 28 in five different houses. My husband and I stayed here. How wonderful to escape the gathering place and have a peaceful place to relax. Most comfortable bed! Thank you for this precious mountain home!

A Little Slice of Heaven!!!

This unit was immaculately clean and stocked great, even for us Cajun cooks!! The entire property is beautiful, we had a stocked driving range all to ourself, putt putt, and pickle ball, the common area “The Outpost” is gorgeous, has workout facilities, sundries and beautiful covered seating, outdoor grill, massive fireplace, great for entertaining a large group. We’re already planning for a repeat trip here next year.

Convenient for hiking

This was our second stay in the Chinquapin neighborhood. The proximity to trailheads and short drive to provisions make it a great place to stay. The cabin was tidy and well appointed, and not so full with owners' items that it felt crowded. Being January, there were very few people around, so it was very quiet. The host team answered the phone when I needed the code to the Chinquapin gate. The primary bed is quite soft. The fireplace is unvented, so unless it's mild enough to make cracking a window reasonable, you may not want to use it. If you're looking for a good basecamp, I would recommend this cabin.

Moutain retreat

Very little info from supposedly "contact" person when needed to know necessary TV information, no code given in order to enter club like other renters had. Understand no smoking inside rule, however, OUTSIDE of the cabin should certainly not be a restriction. Tried several times to put key back in the box when leaving but the box would not close properly, therefore left key under mat.

We recommend reviewing this information to ensure you have everything you need for your stay.- The listing and pre-stay information both state clearly that smoking isn't allowed inside or outside, allowing guests to decide if this meets their needs before booking.- We inspected the lockbox after your departure and found it to be functioning correctly. I have vacationed in the Cashiers area for 40 years and have always wanted to stay on the beautiful ridge where the cabin is located. It was even better than I'd hoped! The Chinquapin community includes 2,000 acres of lovely natural areas with trails, waterfalls, conservation lands, and thoughtfully planned neighborhoods. The cabin is walking distance from "The Outpost", Chinquapin's community gathering area for concerts, cookouts, and lawn games. The Chinquapin property abuts the spectacular 6,300-acre Panthertown Valley recreation area, with 30 miles of Nantahala National Forest trails. The cabin itself was more than cozy with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and 3 wonderful outdoor porches and decks. The cabin was very bright and clean, and felt plenty spacious during my month-long stay. The owner was immediately responsive when I had questions and reached out to make sure I was aware of and included in community events. It was easy to meet neighbors but the cabin was also private and peaceful. It was a great combination of community and retreat - I will be back!

Unacceptable attitude of the person managing our stay.

The cabin was significantly smaller that expected, based on the online pictures. But the main problem was the stay manager. We received a very rude and threatening text message after our stay about some unspecified problem with the tv and that we did not do some totally unspecified action on our departure. She then stated that she would black ball us from all other rental properties in the area if we don’t "explain ourselves". Sounds like an extortion attempt. Suggest all others select a different property when visiting the waterfalls around Cashiers NC.

Great Cabin!

My husband and I thought the cabin was great. We couldn’t get over all the supplies it had, i.e, hand soap, shower gel, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, etc. You pretty much just pack your clothes to stay here. Ha! The decor was fabulous. We also felt we had privacy. Actually, sitting outside was incredibly peaceful! The location is great; close to Cashiers and horseback riding. We would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was easy. The cabin was clean and right next to Panther town for easy access to hiking and right next to the Outpost where there was an event that we were attending which made things convenient.
