The house sits directly on a deep, sandy stretch of shoreline — no stairs, no bluff, no road to cross. Just open the door and step into soft sand that stretches all the way to the water’s edge. The lake is sandy-bottomed and shallow for 200+ feet out, making it ideal for kids and casual swimmers.

I wish we could have stayed longer! The house, the beach, the lake it was all so perfect. This house has everything! Just a little grocery shopping then all you have to do is chill and relax. Made some amazing memories and hope to be back. Host was amazing. Answered every question, text, concern. Amazing!!

Great VRBO experience

From my first communication with John until check out everything was smooth and easy even though we had obstacles trying to ruin our 1st family vacation. He made everything stress free. His home is comfortable and has everything you need for a family of all ages. It would be hard to find a beach more beautiful than the one right outside your door! I can't say enough good things and will definitely go back

End of summer vacation at the Lake

Beautiful lake view. House was the right size for 9 people. The front screened in porch was our favorite room. Eating our meals at the huge picnic table and talking about the fun we are having and watching the kids smile and act silly-priceless♥️

Fantastic view!

What a great beach house! The living room is spacious with large picture windows. The view is fantastic! You could watch the sunrise in the morning and ships in the distance after dark. There were nine of us and we did not feel crowded. There was enough space for everyone to relax and spend time with each other both indoors and out. We ate all our meals on the screen porch, which doubles as the dining area. We watched an eagle tear apart a fish on the beach in front of us while eating breakfast one morning. I was glad to see the gas grill, but the guys especially liked making breakfasts outside on the blackstone cooktop. It was perfect for making pancakes, sausage and hash browns at the same time. The beds were comfortable, with linens and clean towels provided. The beach is clean and sandy with plenty of stones in the water for the rock hounds in your group. There are fossils, sea glass, pudding stones, basalt, quartz and Petoskey stones to name a few. There were plenty of chairs for sitting by the water or at the campfire. I highly recommend BeachQ!

Beautiful

Wonderful place to stay. Vrbo states it's 5 bedrooms & 3 baths. There are 4 bedrooms & 2 full baths. There is a loft with a full size bed at the top of the stairs, but it's not a "proper" bedroom. Great for maybe 8-15 yo to sleep in. We had 3 generations there & it was perfect for us. Screened in porch is great, yard is all nice sand. Very large living room & plenty of extras with games, toys for inside & out. Sand & water toys, grill, chairs, kayaks, paddleboard, life jackets in all sizes, etc. Even books for the little ones (and adults). Beautiful view & beautiful setting. John is very helpful & kind. Grocery stores & party stores are very close, but it feels like you're far away from everything. Fun & relaxing for all ages. Highly recommend.

Nice Vaction

Overall a good house and a good beach. Lots of beach toys included, nice large sandy beach, sandy bottom lake with very minimal rocks, nice clear water. Fire pit was fun, firewood was included which was very nice, lots of grilling and cooking accessories.

Great Beach House

We’ve been coming to Lake Huron for over 40 years, always staying in a small cottage. This is the first time staying in a house. It was nice to have the comforts of home all while being on a beautiful beach. The kitchen was fully stocked and the table on the porch was great for all our meals. John was a great host and even sent up wine opener for us to use. Would definitely like to come again.

John was a perfect host and quick to answer our inquiries. The location on the beach was beautiful, clean and close to perfection. Our family would love to return next year. The amenities also included a well stocked kitchen complete with all appliances in good working order, lots of kids toys and books, kayaks and a paddleboard, lots of beach towels and bath towels, and a cupboard full of fun board games. His Welcome to BeachQ binder made instructions and expectations clear. Our family usually rent each summer for a week and like to try new places but we all decided that we want to return to this place as it accommodated our family so well

Great Beach Get Away

The property is well maintained and had everything that we needed and more! The host was extremely accommodating to one of our family members with a medical issue and we truly appreciated it! The beach was exactly what we were looking for…nice and sandy with a great view from all of the main living spaces. It was wonderful to open the windows and hear the waves at night. Plenty of room for a multi generational family weekend getaway! We would def recommend staying here and return again!

Great place for a family trip.

We loved our stay there. As others have said you will not need to bring everything as the property is well stocked. We actually didn't se a neighbor for most of the time. Rich did come to his place for a couple days and introduced himself. Very friendly. Weather wasn't always great but the beach is. I would recommend this property to anyone. Our family needed this and it was well worth it! Thank you John!

Ocean vacation---but at a lake!

My family and I (husband, 7 and 8 year old boys, brother, and father) stayed at this property in June 2021. Our experience was excellent--starting before we arrived! The property owner, John, communicated with me frequently before our arrival. He was very helpful, and even ordered a shower chair for us to use during the stay! The property was accessible for my father, who is 73 years old and had a stroke in 2019. He does walk, but has limited ability to climb stairs. The bathrooms are both on the first floor, and there are 2 first floor bedrooms (including the master) and this was a huge plus for our family. The property is not wheelchair accessible due to the showers having a small "lip" to get into them, and there being a small step to get into the front door--but it was perfect for my father's mobility needs. The pictures on VRBO do not do the property justice--it is much more beautiful and spacious than it looks in the pictures. Some of our favorite features included a private beach, large bay window in the living room looking out on the water, large screened in patio looking on the water where we ate meals, air conditioning, comfortable King size beds, first floor bedrooms/bathrooms, updated kitchen with excellent appliances (Keurig, etc), excellent and continuous communication from the owner, TVs that we could access our Netflix/HBO Max, etc accounts on, new generation Echo Dots, Lots of electric plugs, water purifier, fans, toys/games for the kids, outside toys/lifejackets, kayaks, paddle board, and easy driving distance to grocery stores. We loved having the sand beach as the backyard that led straight to the water. One of the biggest surprises (and joys) was finding lots of beautiful and diverse rocks/stones on the beach, and also fossils! The boys and I had a wonderful time collecting these and brought them home to put in our garden. There are lots of toys and games in the house for the kids, and tons of outdoor toys for the beach. The boys loved having these to use everyday on the beach. We normally go to Florida to vacation, but wanted to bring Dad back to his childhood home in Michigan this year. We did not know that Lake Huron would feel and look exactly like the Ocean! The water is clear and clean, and there are waves and sand. A bonus was no sharks or jellyfish, and no alligators! We live in Central Ohio, so the drive was manageable--and easier than flying to Florida! We would 100% recommend this property (and owner) to anyone!

Great communcation with the owner. Everything you find on the description is accurate, and a little more. Plenty of space. Huge beach with great swimming area. Comfy beds. Very well furnished and equiped. As close to grocery shopping as you'll need. Some great history in the area to check out. Might suggest you bring drinking water, but not a huge issue. Enjoy the sunrise!!

Great Time!

This was my first VRBO and I have to admit the owner may have spoiled us. We didn't need to bring half of the things we did. The place was stocked, and there was over 30 different spices. The kids loved the beach and my 90 year old grandpa sat by the picture window and enjoyed watching the waves. Everyone had a blast and I truly appreciate the hospitality that John showed us. This is a great rental for families with kids or a small family get together like we did. Would 100% go here again.

Great serene getaway

We had a great time here. The entire backyard was sand and our kids had a ball. The house was more stocked than even the listing mentioned, which was super helpful. It's a little ways away from shopping and restaurants (which is to be expected) , but for those who want to just enjoy the water, it was perfect!

Perfect Beach & Great Home

My family really enjoyed staying at John’s place in August. The home is very comfortable and roomy and the screened porch was a welcomed bonus to escape the few mosquitos that were around. Also, our two young granddaughters loved the assortment of toys provided, both inside and out. Our good weather held out so that we could make a campfire three nights in row with the ample supply of firewood John provided. The beach was awesome and the water temperature was very tolerable, so we spent a lot of time in the lake. We’ve already reserved a week for next year.
