We spent quite a bit of time at Howard's place and enjoyed every minute of it. The cabin was everything we expected. It was very comfortable and well kept and as advertised. I'm sure anyone would enjoy stying there.

Summer getaway disappoints!!

Unfortunately, the place was in need of considerable TLC. The outside area was messy and not clean. (e.g. gutters were full of needles, plastic flowers were neglected, grill was very dirty, and front screen needed fixing to stay locked and closed, shed was a mess). Inside needed a thorough cleaning. Bedding sheets were old, the loft was cluttered and neglected. Very few washcloths and towels for our stay. Hot water for shower was limited and a bit of a mystery on how to get hot.There was AC even though listing indicated otherwise. A pleasant surprise.TV has recordings set by someone which interrupted our TV viewing. All in all, we recommend the owner pay a visit and get the place up to VRBO standards. We will not be returning and cut our stay short of the reservation period.

Great cabin!

Great little cabin in a great little neighborhood. Peaceful and friendly. Indoors was clean and tidy. Everything we needed. Well stocked with the essentials. We enjoyed the patio the most. The outside space could use some cleaning and tender loving care.

Cozy, cute spot to relax and unplug!

We really enjoyed our cabin experience - it is in a really beautiful little community with tons of trees and we could see lots of stars at night. The weather was so refreshing coming from Phoenix! The cabin has everything you need to relax and unplug and cook a little bit, if you’re wanting to. If not, there are several great restaurants nearby - we really enjoyed The House restaurant. I recommend screenshotting all the check in info before you leave to come to the cabin since my signal was very limited locally. The lack of WiFi was actually really refreshing to unplug and there is WiFi at the community clubhouse just up the street if you need it. We enjoyed some walks and bike rides and just took some time away from it all. The host is very helpful too!

Cozy, refreshing cabin to unplug! Good location

We had some much fun relaxing and unwinding at the cabin. The lack of WiFi was actually a nice change of pace. The pine trees give a lot of nice shade and it was so refreshing to be in a cooler spot as it’s already heating up in Phoenix! The neighborhood is very safe and beautiful and good for some walks and bike rides. Everyone out was friendly. The directions are clear but make sure you save check in and contact info before you leave in case you lose signal. The host is very kind and helpful and the cabin has all the stuff you need for doing a bit of cooking and a lot of relaxing. Thank you!

Beautiful in every way

It was home away from home. The place to really enjoy quiet, comfortable clean and easy access beautiful in every way. My Son-in-law and I absolutely loved it. It was a father-son getaway. We would encourage anyone to rent this place. I’m always very thankful to people who take care of their place you can tell they take pride in it

Trip to Show Low

Cabin was way smaller than expected. There was not two bedrooms( unless there was 2 kids age 6 or less. No bathroom if upstairs were used and a very dangers spiral stairways down. Outside was filthy and unusable. A neighbor came over and couldn’t believe the porch. Also, there was a spider on the wall in the bedroom, so we left on Sunday morning and drove back to Phoenix. What a disaster.

For starters I knew ahead of time there would be no WiFi and service might be bad so it was suggested I contact our point of contact ahead of our trip (the owner) I emailed him a week prior. Texted the day prior. No response. I also tried contacting regarding a later check out today, he read my message with no reply. Not happy about this. Came here for R&R 3 weeks post my last chemotherapy and I’m still slower moving in the mornings. Would not stay here again due to total lack of communication with the owner.

Pictures are deceiving

It's a very small property that really needed a good cleaning. We cleaned off the patio area. The bed in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable. I know it states way down in the description of the amenities that there is no internet or air conditioning. This needs to be in BOLD. Overall, I was very disappointed.

Show Low Cabin

Cabin was pretty much what we expected, had problem getting TV to work, but landlord handled it right away. Need to review and update the write-up that describes the property. Currently, it says the unit doesn't have A/C and I wouldn't have rented it if I thought it didn't have A/C. Also, rental instructions say to take garbage to central site to dispose up upon leaving, but the site is gated, and no key tag was made available at the cabin.

Nice location

This was a very quiet area, and I enjoyed the location. My problem was that when I arrived at unit Bed wasn't made the sheets were left on the bed from the previous people and dirty towels. Things happen so I did their laundry bought laundry soap, but my issue was when I called to find out why housekeeping hadn't showed up. I received zero response I left a voicemail and never heard back. It wasn't vacuumed and pine needles everywhere floors haven't been swept. I did do the laundry and left it in better shape than when I left, and this review would not have been posted if the guy would have just called me back.

HORRIBLE DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY

This place was not cleaned when we arrived. Food in fridge, coffee in pot, dirty towels, trash etc. it’s very small sleeping two people would even be tight. AND THIS PLACE IS CRAWLING WITH WOLF SPIDERS. THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE AT ALL AND THE TV IS VERY SMALL. We contacted VRBO and they informed us if we wanted a refund we would have to leave so we did. We spoke to the owner Howard (fighting with him and VRBO) Needless to say nothing was ever resolved

Escape from the Heat

We spent a July week in this cute mountain tiny cabin and loved it. The locals thought the 90s temps were hot but compared to the valley's 110+ temps, we found it heavenly. The cabin was great and provided all we needed. Loved that it was dog friendly in a dog friendly community. no contact with property manager but HAD to rate.

Perfect Cabin in the Woods

This adorable cabin has everything you could need for a visit. It is impeccably located in the middle of Show Low, yet the surroundings are completely peaceful and serene. The outdoor space at this house is just beautiful and it is so relaxing to spend time on the patio underneath the pine trees. There are plenty of chairs outside, a table, firepit, and a grill for your use. The inside of the cabin is so cute and comfortable and we slept peacefully each night. The living room is so cozy for watching tv at the end of a long day of shopping or hiking. The house is stocked with everything you could need. We made use of the stove, fridge, sink, washer/dryer and even the iron. The owner responded very quickly to a call with a question about the tv and he was super friendly and concerned that we were comfortable and enjoying the place. We loved this home away from home and would definitely stay here again.

Decent small place

The loft is virtually useless unless you are 3'10" you have to crawl on your knees to get around. The cleanliness could have been better and needs an exterminator for spiders.
