Family & Group Cave House with Private Garden – Authentic Cappadocia Stay
Hikmet Süha Ersöz is a hospitality entrepreneur based in Cappadocia, Türkiye, and the founder of a boutique cave accommodation experience in Ürgüp. With a background in law, he began his career working in his family’s petrol station business, gaining early experience in management and operations.
After completing his legal education, he spent time in Italy, where exposure to culture, architecture, and design broadened his perspective and strengthened his appreciation for heritage and aesthetics. He later came to Cappadocia as a tourism volunteer, an experience that became a turning point and led him toward a long-term path in hospitality.
He went on to establish Esbelli Evi, one of Cappadocia’s first boutique cave hotels, which he developed and operated for nearly 30 years. During this time, he contributed to the early development of boutique cave hospitality in the region, with a strong focus on authenticity, preservation, and guest experience.
Building on this foundation, he later transitioned to a more intimate home-stay concept. His current work focuses on restoring traditional Cappadocian cave dwellings and historic stone houses, preserving their original character while introducing modern comfort in a subtle and respectful way. His design approach emphasizes simplicity, natural materials, and harmony with the surrounding landscape.
Beyond hospitality, he has remained closely connected to cultural and artistic communities, hosting artists and cultural figures in Cappadocia and supporting various creative initiatives over the years.
Today, his accommodation experience offers guests an authentic stay in carefully restored cave suites designed to reflect the spirit of Cappadocia, combining comfort, heritage, and a deep sense of place.
