This quaint cottage has a surprise inside. With beautiful open space with lofted ceiling covered in pine; this cottage's decor has a modern zen and airy feel. Anchored with a fantastic seating room around a beautiful wood fireplace, you can ensure there is a space for all of your relaxation needs. A fantastic kitchen that calls for late night chats around the island, a great dining room that should be used for more card games than eating (you are enjoying that while in the kitchen anyways), and a luxurious bathroom with a separate shower and tub to ensure you have a spa-like experience while you stay here.

We are city-dwellers who dreamed of owning our own place in Bala, Ontario for years. In 2012, we first rented a small spot just down the road from where we are now. Immediately we fell in love with this little town. Bala is special, just ask anyone who calls it home (even if it is only seasonally). With a lot of heart and filled with amazing people, Bala makes you instantly feel welcomed. We remember arriving and going to the local grocery store for all of the essentials, stopping by the local shops for a fantastic bite, grabbing a drink on the patio of the local pub and enjoying all that Bala has to offer. We loved our rental so much, that we returned again and again to enjoy Bala. Always dreaming of finding our own space. As we have now made that dream a reality, we are thrilled to offer our home to you to enjoy. Hoping to grow more Bala-enthusiasts and hopefully future neighbors.

We instantly saw the potential in the space. We love the juxtaposition the exterior and the interior have to one another. Immediately when you approach you get that true cabin feel from the look of the exterior. There is a history to its curb-side stature. Inside, we painted everything white to ensure it is light and airy. Added the punch back in with my favourite colour combinations of earthy neutrals and voila, we achieved our desired look. A fresh modern interior which draws upon the inspiration of the outdoors. Nothing to modern, but zen, calm and relaxing. A perfect retreat among the woods to enjoy after a long day of exploration in Muskoka.

While our beautiful cottage is not on the water, it is among beautiful trees. While sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, you can enjoy treetop view of the surrounding area and over our neighbouring cottage to see the sparkling water.

We have multiple outdoor spaces for you to discover. We have a great sitting area out back complete with a small stone firepit to enjoy .
