Large period townhouse in the pleasant mountain curist spa-town of Vernet-les-Bains, Featuring 17 bedrooms (6 doubles, 3 family rooms and 2 twins each with en-suite bathrooms, 6 single bedrooms with 2 shared WCs and showers).
Entrance hall with wood burner. 2 x Dining / meeting rooms to seat up to 34 guests. Two large lounges with sofas and chairs, games room with full sized table-tennis, Fully equipped semi-commercial kitchen. Conservatory / breakfast room
Beautiful extensive private gardens with sunny lawns, mature trees and shady glades. Large outdoor pebbled areas with covered dining / seating area, Boule de Pétanque and BBQ. Enclosed swimming pool with decking, sun loungers and chairs. Wifi with WiFi boosters throughout, (clean towels and linen provided).
A variety of cafes, bars, restaurants, bakeries, fruit/vegetable general convenience store, chemist and other shops, banks and services as well as the famous thermal spa within a short walking distance.
The beautiful Pyrenees with its clean air, ‘curing’ waters, thermal baths, canyoning, mountain biking, unlimited mountain walks in the beloved Canigou mountains all within walking distance. The Mediterranean coast with expansive beaches and beautiful coves and seaside villages as well as Pyrenean ski resorts all within an hour's drive.

Bell Ringers visiting Vernet-les-Bains

18 of us, using 11, all en-suite rooms. Accommodation worked well with 2 sitting rooms. We used one for people who wanted to be quiet, the other, attached to the dining room for evening games. The host set the dining room up for us so we could all eat at one long table. Large, well equipped kitchen made self catering easy. Nearby good resturants and bars.

Beautiful Place in Beautiful Vernet-les-Bains

Our extended family group (2 families + grandparent+visiting friends) had a fabulous stay at Martin's holiday home. The children in our group loved the pool and spent hours in it, while the adults especially enjoyed breakfasts and dinners in the beautiful garden, all accompanied by the sound of fresh running water from the mountains. The many bedrooms are lovely and comfortable, the kitchen is large and a joy to cook in, and, again, the garden is idyllic. Martin himself is a fantastic host, kind and thoughtful, and he went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. (He even pleasantly tolerated the children advising him to install a water park in the yard, an arcade in the house, etc. The adults did not agree with this advice.) The area has many attractions, including hikes, markets, beautiful nearby towns, vineyards, waterfalls, and more. A day trip to Collioures to swim in the Mediterranean was easy and fun, too. We did so many things in our two weeks, and Martin's historic hotel was the perfect home for us while we did them. We all highly recommend staying here and would ourselves love to do so again. Thank you, Martin!

Vacances amicales à 7 familles, 33 personnes avec des enfants de 19 ans à 3 ans.Le gite est très adapté, et bien équipé pour ce grand nombre, le jardin est très agréable, sécurisé et la piscine a eu du succès. Les chambres sont spacieuses et il y a des salles de bain en nombre suffisant. Il y a de nombreuses activités à proximite pour differents âges.

La location est parfaite! Le jardin est très spacieux, plus grand que sur les photos, la piscine est bien sécurisée, le logement est très propre avec des fournitures, lits bébé et rehausseurs, la cuisine équipée pour professionnels est très grande et parfaite pour un groupe de 30. Le bonus : une cascade (sécurisée) passe dans le jardin! Le logement se situe à quelques pas des commerces : boulangerie, primeur ect... de randonnées, sites à visiter. Enfin la communication avec Martin et sa collègue a été très facile. Martin a préparé notre arrivée en répondant à nos questions et nous a donné de précieux conseils. Merci Martin! Nous recommandons ce logement

Anne-Laure et son groupe étaient des invités parfaits. Ils ont communiqué clairement et poliment ce dont ils avaient besoin pour leur séjour. Pendant leur séjour, il n'y a eu absolument aucun problème et ils ont extrêmement bien pris soin de la maison. Ils ont laissé la maison extrêmement propre et bien rangée. Je les recommanderais certainement en tant qu'invités.

Great stay in the Pyrenees

Plenty of space and a well equipped property for our extended family of 24, covering 4 generations. Martin was very helpful in ensuring a ground floor room for my 92 year old mother who can't manage stairs. Everything was satisfactory. The property is an easy walking distance to shops and cafés. A very pleasant two weeks. Thank you Martin

Semaine très agréable pour notre groupe de 29 amis dans cette propriété. Ancien hôtel avec grand parc ombragé et piscine sympa. Idéal si vous êtes nombreux on ne se marche pas dessus! Chaque chambre ou presque a sa salle de bain . Parfait à l’arrivée, les lits sont faits, le linge de toilette est fourni, il y a une buanderie avec lessive sur place idem tout le nécessaire dans l’immense cuisine et même des bouées pour les enfants dans la piscine. Bref parfait sur toute la ligne. Merci à Martin pour sa disponibilité qui arrive illico au moindre appel.

Demeure charmante

Avec tout ce qu'il faut pour un grand groupe: nombreuses chambres et salles de bains, cuisine pro, espaces exterieurs, piscine et communs bien amenages, cette demeure de charme en plein village nous as permis de passer une tres bonne semaine. Une très belle découverte

Le séjour chez Martin à Vernet les Bains s'est très bien passé. C'est une région très attachante où on peut à la fois beaucoup randonner, mais également profiter des rivières, des thermes et de la mer à une heure de route. La maison est très bien placée dans le village pour faire les courses à pieds et partir en randonnées. Beaucoup de marchés et de petits producteurs locaux permettent de manger des produits de bonnes qualités. L'accueil de Martin était très chaleureux, il a tout mis en oeuvre pour que nous passions un excellent séjour (remplacement du lave-vaisselle en panne dans la journée par exemple). La maison est un ancien hôtel plein de charme rénové par le propriétaire avec un immense parc planté de très beaux arbres avec un ruisseau qui traverse le jardin. Un belle piscine permet de se rafraîchir. Nous étions entre 18 et 20 pensionnaires, mais les 30 couchages et 13 salles de bains nous ont permis d'avoir tous notre intimité. Les propriétaires rénovent l'hôtel en préservant son charme surané qui conviendra parfaitement aux amateurs de maisons qui ont une histoire. Sophie

Idéal invité. Sophie et son groupe étaient des invités parfaits. La communication avec elle avant la réservation était claire et opportune. S'il y avait des problèmes avec le bâtiment ou les installations qui sont survenus pendant le séjour, ils ont été exprimés calmement et professionnellement et j'ai pu répondre à tous les problèmes en temps opportun. Je crois que les invités ont passé un agréable séjour. Sophie et son groupe ont quitté la maison dans un état impeccable après leur départ et il n'y a eu aucun dommage. Je lui louerais à nouveau la maison avec plaisir et je la recommanderais volontiers à d'autres propriétaires.
