Peaceful Heritage Home at Elk Lake

Our suite is comfortable, cozy and relaxing with a private outdoor patio.
It has a very comfortable Queen-sized bed, lots of hanging space with hangers .A fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, countertop convection oven and a countertop 2 burner. The kitchen also has a toaster, kettle, french press for your coffee and a apartment sized fridge. The living room comes with a comfortable leather couch, a TV with Netflix and a coffee table. There is also a bathroom with a bathtub with shower.
The patio comes with a BBQ, relaxing chairs and separate chairs with a small table to enjoy your morning breakfast or a cup of coffee.
The suite is perfect for a couple and we also take a well behaved dog. There is also a front yard, fully fenced in and dog proof, for your dog to relieve himself and run around or for you to enjoy a glass of wine or a coffee. The front yard also offers a cold water dog shower where you can rinse your dog after a day on the beach .

Fun place to hang your hat!

Lovely hostess…very friendly and accommodating. Fresh bagels and samosas were delicious. Quirky, fun place to spend a few days!

The perfect weekend get-away!

Jackie and Mike were perfect hosts: Jackie welcomed us with a tour of the property, a list of recommendations and delicious samosas! We couldn't have asked for a better location: convenient to the highway and to Elk Lake. Our dog especially appreciated the large backyard to run around in. This will be our go-to rental for all our trip to Victoria!

Very lovely, historical property, exactly as photos depict. Jacky is fantastic to deal with, assisting with issues I had with VRBO. Would stay here again!

Elk Lake Lodge

The rooms were well appointed, very clean and comfortable. Jacky was an amazing host, so welcoming and helpful. I enjoyed being a little ways out from the hustle and bustle of downtown. A relaxing stay.

To say that Jacky and Mike are exceptional hosts under rates them. It's not possible to do a better job than they do. We stayed for six weeks and had a wonderful experience. Next time we are in Victoria, we will stay with them again. The accommodations were as advertised and the cute sitting area outside the door was great. Since we were traveling with our dog, we had our own private spacious yard for the dog to run in. Just a wonderful stay!

Great for human and dog alike

Very comfortable property and well located for any visit to the Victoria area. The decor is a feast for the eyes and the accommodations made for your dog are wonderful. Jacky and Mike are lovely people as well. Can’t go wrong here!

Small clean comfortable accommodations. Hosts were very kind and friendly and you can see and feel the pride and enjoyment they receive from sharing their home and property. Great value had everything we needed.

Wonderful Stay at Peaceful Heritage Home!!!

This was my first VRBO stay and first in Victoria , BC, and it was delightful. The location was excellent and close to parks and walks for my dog and very close to Butchart Gardens--my favorite place. The owners Jacky and Mike were so helpful with local information and directions and made us feel at home right away. My Irish Setter Shannon fell in love with both of them. Wish we could have stayed longer

From check in to check out, one of the most enjoyable vacations we’ve ever experienced! Race weekend

We needed somewhere close to Elk Lake for my husband's triathlon race. This was perfect! It was so close to everything and everywhere we needed ti be plus it provided us the privacy we like. It was so quiet - it was great! The property manager is great! She gave great information on what was within the surrounding area especially food wise. Will highly recommend this location to family and friends!

The extra care was great!

I felt pampered as Jacky had freshly ground coffee and fresh cream on hand and had a bagel ready for my breakfast. She checked in with me to see how my 3 day stay was going and brought me a hot fresh samosa on the second day. She also pointed out the local beach which was only minutes away. This place was exceptionally clean and very well equipped. I would definitely stay here again,.

This is a very unique, special property! Although not directly on the lake, that is of little consequence. The suite and grounds are delightful, lots of access to quaint outdoor spaces with lots of comfortable seating.The suite itself is adorable and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful home stay.But the real gem is the owners! We were made to feel welcome from the instant we stepped out of the car. We were given a tour of the property and given lots of local information. A highlight was fresh bagels in the fridge for breakfast and then delicious samosas to send us on our way to the ferry. Jacky and Mike are attentive to your every need but not intrusive on your privacy. Truly, one of the best home stays we have ever experienced!

Winter Getaway

We had a wonderful time in Victoria and found the suite very suitable for our needs. We have children and grandchildren in Victoria .The accommodation has handy for visiting them during the day and exploring around the area from and for returning home to at night. Jacky and Mike are great hosts. Nothing is too much trouble, pleasant , friendly and accomodating. Thanks for the complimentary Indian dinner delivered to our door.

Second Time was lovely as the First!

I am visiting my daughters each month from North Vancouver. This is my second stay at Jacky’s place. The place is always spotless, linens are soft and the pillows are comfy. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and great appliances. Generous sized bedroom and bathroom. I work when I stay, appreciate the strong wifi and desk area. Loads of parking, nice outdoor space with BBQ and the enclosed park like backyard is beautiful for some sunshine and playing with my dog Holly! Thanks Jacky

Magical & Relaxing to come home after a busy day.

Everything myself and my fur baby Holly needed. From the beautiful bathroom, everything I needed in the kitchen, great wifi for working and a GREAT night’s sleep. Great mattress and linens. Jacky you are a great host and loves our chats. The Clover Garden just for me and my Holly was so magical! Found my first 4 leaf clover. You have a beautiful property and I certainly recommend this rental. Great location and lots of parking:) I will be back soon Jacky!!

A piece of paradise

Our stay was wonderful. It was exactly as pictured. The location was great for seeing all that Victoria had to offer. The bed was big and soft and I didn’t want to to get up in the morning. Water was always hot and the pressure wonderful. The yard was all ours and perfect for our dog. Plus a private patio right outside our door. The unit was ground floor but always very quiet. But the real jewel in the crown is the host Jackie. She could give lessons in hosting. I was talking to her about watching people crabing off the pier in Sydney, and wanting to try ot ourselves. She contacted a friend and we had a crab trap the same day. Always ready to suggest great restaurants and things to do. Looking forward to staying again.

Host Jacky very friendly, helpful and interesting. Property is like a colorful museum inside and out. Rooms located in lower level are quite dark and cool. Located on busy highway so plenty of road noise but access to shopping, hikes, ferries, airport close by.

Our rental unit was just awesome. The unit was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Jacky provides special touches in the unit to make it perfect. The yards surrounding the house are amazing. We will definitely stay again.

Wonderful experience

This is a lovely little place in a great location. Great value for what you pay. The hosts are helpful but not intrusive and were very kind to me and my dog. I though this was a great location for somebody visiting. You are minutes away from some of the best hiking and ocean beaches. If you have a dog you are 5 minutes from some of the best dog beaches ever. I would stay here again no issues. And its true what the other guests say about the bedroom....best sleeps ever!!

Cozy retreat for your West Coast stay

Jacky was a wonderful hostess- even going to far as to call us to advise for ferry reservations so our trip would go smoothly. Many charming, above and beyond touches for our stay: bagels, coffee and tea ready for our arrival and stay, lovely scented hand soap, cozy bedding, umbrellas for the rain, even a dog blanket for our small dog! The suite is cozy and SUPER clean. Very private and quiet - even though it’s in a busy road, you do not hear traffic at all. We appreciated having a fenced area for our dog as well. My only suggestion for anyone staying with a dog is to bring a flashlight for night time trips to the fenced area as the driveway is very dark at night (but easily overcome if you have a flashlight or mobile phone!) The unit has everything you need to have a comfortable stay, and Jacky is a great communicator. Thank you so much, we will be back
