Rusty Duck - Cottage on Lake Glenville!

Follow the cascading steps to enter this cozy cabin on Lake Glenville. The kitchen, dining area and living room share an open floor plan on the main level. The living room has a woodstove and glass doors to the deck. On the deck is a porch swing that faces the lake and an outdoor dining area. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are also on the main level. Upstairs is an open loft. The lower level of the home is the primary bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and private deck. A utility room with a washer and dryer is also on the lower level. This home has a private dock and firepit.

During the Summer Season this home must be booked Friday to Friday.

Your reservation includes a damage protection plan. The damage protection plan is $50, and it covers up to $3,000 in damages. In lieu of purchasing the damage protection plan, guests have the option to choose a refundable security deposit. If you would like to pay a refundable security deposit, please contact us. The security deposit is $500 and will be administered subject to the NC Tenant Security Deposit Act.

A great stay on the lake

Such a wonderful cabin on the lake. Comfortable, clean and right in the lake. So close to town, very quiet with a dock to moor your boat. Would come back and do it all over again.

Great Spot

Property well maintained and fully stocked with easy access to the lake and lovely views. Very comfortable downstairs main bedroom. 1 room had a sort of bunk bed set-up so quests have to be comfortable sleeping against the wall with a bed above them. Also not for anyone with trouble with stairs. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would not hesitate to rent again.

did not recieve text with door code until we called and e mailed at 7pm. When we arrived, 2 smoke detector battery alarms were beeping, and something connected to security system alarm was going off. I reset the smoke detectors and batteries were change the next day. I spent half the morning cleaning outdoor furniture to be even remotely usable. The driveway is collapsing and parking was a challenge, which we didnt know about until we got there. The grill was not clean.

TOO OLD FOR RENTING

We arrived to a dirty house and outside porch area. We had to scrub the mildew off the tables and chairs for 1 hour then to find out there were no cushions.... This place is so dark it was hard to make breakfast.(no working bulbs in fan) It got to 50 DEGREES and the cabin only had OLD wall heaters...THAT DID NOT WORK. HAD TO KEEP THE OVEN OPEN FOR HEAT. Please do not rent this Rusty ole duck...you'll be glad you didn't..

Great water access!

Cozy property perfect for our needs. S’mores in the evening, water sports during the day, and a perfect porch swing to unwind. We liked how the master is on a lower level than the rest.
