Why Espen P Schiefloe chose Naples
Florida has an abundance of beautiful beaches, waterways, cities and attractions...yet the critical eye and more experienced you get with south Florida, the south west gulf coast city of Naples is as nice as it gets. Then you take it one step further and the 7 mile long barrier island south of Naples is practically undeveloped. so instead of your gulf front home costing 12+ million (starter Naples gulf front home) you have an even nicer gulf front home location with unbeatable natural features of your boat and bay on the back side and essentially a private beach..
What makes this House unique
Its really about the experience...Here, you get to get back to nature, see some wild life, have space to feel your soul breathe and expand...to feel that you are one with a tropical paradise...you wont get that in town...

My husband and I stayed at KeeIsland this past March. Staying there was a unique experience. The house is totally off grid, but very comfortable. This experience is not for everyone, but if you are interested in a quiet, total relaxation, white sandy beach experience, this just might interest you.
The owner had recently completed some extensive renovations prior to our visit and was still working out a few kinks. We opted to rent the boat offered with the property, to have access to the mainland. There were issues with the gear box and so we were uncomfortable using the boat unless absolutely necessary. That was disappointing.
The owner and the staff were very helpful and easily accessible. The grocery service offered was very convenient.
Our guest boat had a blown motor at this time and we were forced to rent from a 3rd party a pontoon boat that was not totally up to our standards and had a problem with the shifter. We do now have our guest boat up and running with a new motor as well as a new marina location in town for departure at the Hyatt on Naples Bay.
We have been addressing a few punch list items after a recent $600,000 improvement construction project to the house. And it did take a few weeks for us to work out the many details of making everything as perfect as we can.
We strive to make our guest experience as perfect as possible, and sometimes when we are not 100% up to snuff, it pushes us to work harder and we have done that. We thank you for your comments as it is how we find out what we can and should improve.
Natural Beach Wonderland
My Parents (77 + 89) and my two young daughters (2 and 5) and my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Keeisland.
The electric beach bikes were a major hit! The paddleboards and fishing gear also came in handy for enjoyable activities.
How do you describe a beachfront house that is so beautiful and the weather perfect surrounded by lush nature?
The furniture is new on the patio and with high ceilings and wide views of nature and beach, you will find it to be spectacular.
The boat ride into Marco Island to stock up at Winn Dixie grocery store is a good excuse to get out on the boat and water.
We cant wait to come back again!
Had another beautiful stay on Keewaydin at this lovely home. Brought ice, drinks, some -pre-made meals and clothes. Ate out by boat at the Snook Inn and Tavern on the Bay. Did cocktails one night at the Island Gypsy. Enjoyed the wildlife………tortoise, manatee, dolphins, and shelling. My kids favorite vacation by far.
We traveled with our 3 kids and 2 of their friends all between 8-15. We also brought our 5lb Havanese dog at the last minute. The house was amazing. The boat was so much fun. Everything you could ever imagine was there from beach gear, Games, Toys, tools, Fishing and More. We woke up every morning and gathered shells after sunrise. We saw dolphins in the channel as well as right in front of our beach everyday. Can't wait to go back and would absolutely refer this to anyone interested whether small or large group.
Naples Family Spring Break Vacation,Tropical Natural Paradise!
We came across this property on Homeaway last year and instantly fell in love. It is even much nicer in person, its hard to describe how beautiful the vegetation and beach and clear blue/green water are.
Shawn and Gretchen were very helpful and the house well stocked.
Make sure you book your stay early as we noticed the prime weeks booked up a year in advance. We learned that this is one of only two beach houses that are right on the water in Naples.
The house itself is luxurious with high speed wi-fi and sattelite tv. Every creature comfort is available and they have thought of everything,. My husband enjoyed the provided fishing equipment and kids loved all the water toys especially the Stand Up Paddleboards.

Spectacular Property!! Perfect for families
My family of 4 (2 adults and kids age 11 and 8) and my best friend's family of 4 (2 adults and kids age 6 and 3) thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our spectacular spring break. The house is out of a movie, very well appointed with everything you need. Between the stand up paddle boarding, boogie boarding and just plain old relaxing this was the best trip ever with the family. The house has beautiful common areas and in extremely good shape. The outdoor shower was unique and lovely. The one criticism is that the beds were extremely soft, hopefully an easy issue to fix. The boat was a very cool mode of transportation and we discovered many neat things in the back channels- porpoises jumping in the wake!! Even though my friend and I are surgeons, learning to dock a boat was as challenging as med school but we are happy to say that with the instructions before and learning from Shawn we did not get lost or hit anything or anyone. I hope to be able to come back to this beautiful property with the kids next year!
So happy to share this special place with you!
This year we intend to replace a couple of the beds, it seems people love the gel foam variety instead of the old school plush pillow tops we have a few of. Personal preference I suppose. We similiarily like to have a variety of different pillow typs for side and back sleepers. Gel and down etc.
Obviously the incredible beach and scenery and grounds steal the show and we love how the actual experience always brings such joy to our guests. Every single guest upon departure always has such kind words and that really makes us happy to share!
The south west gulf coast of Florida is world renowned for its white powder sugar sand beaches, safe and warm and calm water for swimming make the water accessable to everyone. Keewaydin Island itself is considered to be one of Americas top 10 most beautiful beaches and considering you have several acres of it to your self, most of the pleasure will be in activities surrounding your beach front home. From shelling, to walking, swimming, stand up paddle boarding, boating, fishing, having your bare feet on the sand, taking in the salt sea air and the abundant nature that surrounds you. Your stay here is about nature and access to the island is by BOAT only. 40 Years ago, the environmental movement finally said enough already and stopped a planned bridge and road to the island. So this is where development in Florida stops. It's as if the entire state of Florida is paved over and then you come to the end of the road at beautiful Naples and across Gordon pass lies a natural paradise, keewaydin Island. If you have fisherman or woman in your group, its tough to beat the fishing right off the beach (there is a great sand bar just off shore) and then the dock side has the best snook fishing anywhere. There are more places to explore then you can imagine. An easy trip is to good land, with a couple of bars and live music. Marco Island and Naples in either direction offer plenty of places to explore. If you want some fine dining and shopping, water parks and so forth, venturing out to Naples and Marco Island opens up other possibilities. First and foremost, great shopping and dining. Naples is a haven for wealthy retirees, and therefore you can expect the top world class dining, shopping and golfing. Two recomended in town adventures are the Botanical gardens and the Zoo. Either one is a 15 minitue drives from our marina in town. Within Naples, we have a whole foods, trader joes and a couple organic markets. Our favorite organic market, food and thought, happens to be where we go frequently to dine for lunch, grab some organic food and head out to the island. That concludes our in town Naples suggestions. Very often, we charachterize this island beach house experience as a place to for a wonderful peaceful escape...a place to hang out with family and friends....a time to relax.. A typical stay for our guests starts with a grocery store shop for several days. The house has all the staples already, such as spices, drinking water, towels etc. you only need to plan your meals and bring the fresh whole foods with you. Arriving at our check in time at 3 pm. our representative loads your groceries and lugguge on to the boat. You can park and leave your car there free of charge for the week. Once aboard, the 45 minute scenic boat ride follows navigation makers south through Naples bay, down the intercoastal water way for approximately 5-6 miles. Then you arrive on our bayside dock. We show you how to tie up the boat, bring your luggage and groceries to the house and orientate you with the home and answer any questions you have. This is the fun part because at this point your in awe at how beautful it is and how happy you are to have your own island and private beach. We call this adventure our tropical dream...As it combines the absolute very best that Florida has to offer. From the most beautiful waters and beaches and nature and wild life...you leave concrete and mayhem behind and enter paradise...Its what the salt air and warm sun and the entire environment surrounding you bathes your soul...
