Longboat Condo

This is a beautiful and convenient location. The bay is steps from the condo, the beach is across the street, the pool is very nice and there are restaurants just a few steps down the road. Our family had a wonderful time and plan to visit again.

Property was cleanly and nice.

We found the beds to be a bit too firm for our tastes and noticed some staining on the linens and comforters. Also, we were concerned that some of the sliding doors to the outside did not function properly, especially in the bedrooms on the ground floor. Otherwise, the neighborhood was quiet and the views of the bay were nice.

Beautiful views! Plenty of Space!

Beautiful, clean home with plenty of living and relaxing space. Multiple areas to dine, relax, and spread out. Views were amazing. Private and quiet. Short walk to gorgeous beach. Easy drive to grocery store as well as St Armand’s Circle with its many restaurants and shops. Recommend walking to Harry’s for lunch (inside) or their deli for take out sandwiches to take to beach! Harry’s was an excellent find..a hidden gem. Would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been vacationing at Beach Castle since the mid 80s and love the place. The view from the unit was incredible, especially sunrise. The decor and furniture in the unit was tastefully done. However, there were some white upholstered chairs that were not a good choice and some updates still needed to be completed that were scheduled for after our stay. Missing televisions in 2 of the bedrooms, furniture missing from one of the bedrooms and removal of the carpet in the upstairs bedroom. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was a definite plus! We were told due to the size of the unit that we would have 2 parking spaces outside of the room. We did have 2 parking spaces but both were not conveniently located. as one of the owners decided to park a trailer in one of our spaces. Due to that we were told we had to park across the street a LONG way from our unit. What was even more ridiculous was the place was practically empty and yet we could not park closer. No one else showed up during that time and it made no sense to us. All in all is was a good stay in spite of the hurricanes last year. We hope they continue to keep the good aspects of Beach Castle for many years to come.

The property needs some attention both inside and out. While the maids do a superficial cleaning a deep clean is needed. Under tables, beds and sofas are kids cereal, baby food, small toys, hair bands and filth. 2 dvd machines are present but we could not get either to work (after reading about the brands and the tvs). So much for the movies we brought. Outside the property has several areas that need painted or rotted wood replaced. The back screen door needs a new hinge as of now just make sure you pull it shut. The hedges along the water are in need of trimming (several feet too tall and of varying height along property) which affects the water views for this unit. Pest extermination services are needed as ants were a daily problem. We bought 6 ant traps which helped some. Parking is very tight and may impede driving out. The hedges along the lateral aspect of the property are in need of trimming as well. To drive out of the property with guests at other units required side-swipping the hedges (several times a day). Hope the small scatches buff out.

A Beautiful Spot on Long Boat Key

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were so lucky that hurricane Ian didn't totally ruin our vacation plans. Though there was some damage to the property the biggest disruption was the no-see-um problem that was probably exacerbated by the storm. The dock was also being replaced which quashed our plans to fish right off our back porch but the property managers were more that accommodating with each request to make our stay better. The windows were really dirty and the back porch needed to be swept out (both due to the storm) but the property managers took care of things and the rest of the unit was amazing. The upstairs loft master suite was gorgeous and there was so much space we never felt like we were on top of each other. The pool area was perfect. Very clean, the pool water temperature was just right, and the hot tub was one of the best I've every been in. The beach, dining, ice cream, souvenirs were all a short walk away and we had a wonderful time exploring LBK, Ana Maria Island, Sarasota and Siesta Key. A truly beautiful spot and we got to enjoy both the sunrise (from the bay side) and the sunsets (from the beach). Would definitely stay here again.

Sunrises ans and sunsets were mesmerizing.The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary culinary kitchenware to prepare numerous gourmet meals. It was spacious and allowed privacy when needed. The modern upgrades made all the difference when choosing this gorgeous villa.However, there does seem to be a big ant problem and the freezer needs to be cleaned before each guest.
