Heaven is a place on earth

This place is awesome. Loved the private Ocean entrance. Not much Beach but perfect pace to watch the sunset from the water. Only thing that wasn't perfection was would be nice if there was a hot tube but it’s an amazing place.

The room has fantastic views. Loved watching the whales and turtles. So relaxing on the beach. Very close to grab groceries. Had plenty of room for family of 5. We had a great stay. Unit very clean, kitchen and bathrooms well stocked with necessities. Beds very comfortable. Furniture a bit dated and there is a damp smell when you first enter but it did not bother us for the most part. Oceanfront view amazing, saw the turtles daily. Beach was unusable due to high surf which is probably normal for fall/winter… probably a nice beach when waves are less crazy. Pool area was nice spot to relax.

We loved this condo. Perfect location and everything we needed and more. We enjoyed being on the corner which let lots of light in and made it feel very spacious. The beds were super comfortable and we had all the toiletries and kitchen needs. There was even a bottle of wine in the refrigerator. Not sure if that was from the previous rental or Itrip but it was so nice for the first night. We saw turtles and whales. If I could give this 6 stars I would.

Best unit in the complex

We had a really lovely week at unit A10. The pictures are quite accurate you have your own outdoor space and just a few steps to watch the turtles play in the surf below. The beach is a nice feature as many don't have access to sand but you will likely find yourself at the close by Napali or Kapalua beaches as they are more impressive. The host was really responsive. We asked for a tea kettle and dishrack and they were dropped off for us the next morning. Very nice, I highly recommend.

4th time in this unit. Location, location, location. That explains most of it. Unit interior is great, kitchen adequately equipped. Some minor maint issues, one major. Staff was responsive, well informed, fast. A major issue with guest shower was discovered close to our last day, and repairs are scheduled. Closeness to sea, sunsets, privacy is all here. In fact we renewed our vows behind this unit overlooking the ocean.

I just want to start by saying we have stayed at Kahana Sunset for the last 25 years. It has changed over the years but still absolutely love the complex. This was our first time in A10 and had always been curious as it is an end unit with a wall of windows. Loved having all the natural light and privacy of being on the end. The unit itself did not disappoint. We had an issue with the kitchen faucet but we contacted itrip and they came out immediately and replaced the faucet the next day. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Just missing the beach which has pretty much disappeared over the last several years.

Our family stayed in A10 for two weeks in July. It was lovely and a true advantage being on the end of the A building. However, there was one problem and it was a fairly major one in our opinion. Because the unit is on the end, the window to the second bedroom opens directly over the stairs from the parking lot. This window is sliding glass with a screen, unlike the more secure second window with metal grates. Consequently, it could be easily broken into and puts the safety of small children and valuables at risk. If you have small children and safety is a concern, I would definitely NOT recommend A10 unless this is remedied.

This is the first time renting the condo under I Trip as Kahana Sunset used to have their own rental program. Also first time returning since our last trip in 2019 due to Covid. I was very pleased with the service although was surprised there was a fee for extra cleaning which we did not get. It didn't matter if you are there for 1 week, 3 weeks (which we were) or six weeks you only get cleaning at intake. There is, however a vacuum cleaner but we had to ask for extra bed sheets. There were a few minor issues (dryer timer did not work - they did not inform us new washer and dryer was on order) but other than the dryer, was happy that our issues were resolved quickly. Leanna and staff were excellent in responding to my emails. This was my 40th time at Kahana Sunset and will return in the future.

The best unit in the best possible location

The location of this unit, on the corner with two walks of windows, an unobstructed view of the ocean, on the ground floor with a patio, grassy area and a balcony also of the master, is absolutely incredible. The pool and beach at the property are nice and mostly private, and there are other incredible beaches north and south within a two to twenty minute easy drive. The unit is clean and comfortable, and I think the best unit does to its location on the property. Host is easy to communicate with and accommodating. Great for families. Would absolutely rent this place again!!

Really beautiful property in a great location

Stay for 5 nights at the Kahana Sunset with my partner and our two friends, and we all loved the apartment. The view and location can't be beat. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the space was comfortable for four adults. The only tiny tiny downfall, that I will mention as this may matter to some, is it's not super private on the patio as the apartments are all right next to each other, so if another family is next door you could be listening to each others dinner conversation! BUT this was not a problem for us and we mainly ate inside and we went down to use the public BBQ's and met and chatted with other guests which was lovely. Would definitely stay here again. Recommend.

Excellent waterfront location!

A-10 is a great waterfront corner unit! We have stayed all over Kahana Sunset and we think A-10 is the best location. Every morning we would count the number of turtles feeding just outside the back door. Prior to renting, I was a little concerned about the height of the handrail on top of the sea wall due to being there with my small kids. This turned out to be an absolute non-issue. The grass in front was great for my kids to play on. Being an end unit the windows on the side made the unit feel bigger and more open than others in the complex. We had a few minor issues that the management company handled within hours. Another reviewed mentioned the windows in the back bedroom could be a safety concern. We did not find this to be an issue at all. We felt safe with a 3 & 7 year old staying in there. Overall it is a great unit and we hope to stay there again soon!

Great location and unit

The Kahana Sunset Resort was a great location and the unit we stayed in was perfect for what we needed. Basic amenities were provided and having the washer and dryer in unit was great to freshen up towels when needed. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this resort/unit!
