About Carlos and Karolina
Hello there, We are Carlos and Karolina Galvez, owners of Eagle Point Retreat. I am from Peru and my wife is from Switzerland. We met on a Caribbean cruise, married in Alaska and settled in Miami Florida. Over the last 27 years we have been blessed with 3 children, all grown up now, and also with the opportunity to travel all over the world, including the Peruvian Andes and the Swiss Alps. Although we love the sea where we met, we both have a special place in our hearts for our mountains and what they represent. So when we first visited the Smoky Mountains we fell in love with the area as we saw them as a memory of each other’s own culture. It was our dream to one day own a Cabin here as a gathering place for our ever growing family and friends, encouraging them to leave the hustle and bustle of our busy city lives behind and take a “Pause” in our gorgeous “Eagle Point Retreat”.
Carlos and Karolina purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Carlos and Karolina chose Sevierville
Eagle Point Retreat is one of the most beautiful cabins in the Pigeon Forge area. The views are great. We simply love its spacious rooms, the overall area, close enough to enjoy the attractions of the main towns nearby but far enough to relax and enjoy the wilderness and serene views of the Great Smoky Mountains. We are enjoying it to the fullest with our family and friends and when not in town, we want to share the same experience with you. We hope you enjoy our Cabin and take home a memory that will last for years to come.
What makes this Cabin unique
It is an easy drive on the newly paved road and access from the Parkway. It is only 1 mile to lots of the area action in Pigeon Forge, a few more to Gatlinburg and Sevierville but far enough to enjoy the peacefulness, lots of fresh mountain air and surrounding wilderness. It's bright rooms lighten the mood and are a perfect recipe to relax and recharge. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park as well as Cades Cove is just minutes away. There are plenty of choices for grocery shopping along the way (1.5 Miles to Krogers open 24 hours) or simply have them ordered and ready for you upon your arrival.

Perfect cabin for our extended family gathering.
This was the perfect cabin for our family gathering with members ranging from age 12 to 76. Main floor bedrooms are perfect for older guests (no steps required) and the gaming options were great for all ages. The cabin is just a few miles from the main strip in Pigeon Forge and any type of vehicle can easily negotiate the drive to the cabin. The owners checked in just often enough to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely rent this cabin again.
Great home for 8 couples.
Thanks for sharing your home. We plan to return next April.
Very well kept up cabin. Nice.
The cabin was big enough for all 16 of us. A very very nice place. We enjoyed it so much.
First time we have stayed here in this cabin and we will be back.
2nd Corporate Event
We held our second short corporate event at Eagle Point Retreat and it was again a perfect location. The Cabin is excellent and the service and communication provided by the owners was outstanding as usual. Each of us had their own room and bathroom. We will continue to come back for our events as it has all the right amenities and privacy. It provides the perfect place to do our work and spend time together as a team. We have enjoyed the new Arcade that was added since our last stay. The movie room is again perfect for our meetings and presentations. We enjoy being close to the many area Restaurants without steep winding roads, to the delight our group we even saw Deer on the way back to the cabin. Thank you Karolina for again providing a clean cabin with everything we need for our short stay, we'll be in touch to plan our next retreat very soon.
cabin was awesome, but the maintainence was very lacking
1) The cabin had not been vacuumed, fans were dusty
2)Some pillows were missing their cases
3)Entertainment area was a disaster. The pool cues were all missing their tips. Requested foosballs for foosball table and were brought ping pong balls because none were to be found locally. The next morning we went to Walmart and purchased a pack of 6 foosballs.
4) Numerous lights were blown. Several lights out in bedrooms and living area.
5)Water valves in several of the showers were leaking.
6) Apartment size washer was in cabin. Full size was listed on website depicting cabin.
7)Grill was never cleaned. We tried to clean it but was not able to get it clean enough to grill on.
The cabin was all we could have wanted. The maintenance issues were overwhelming.
Dear Don, we are stumped by your review. This is a first, nevertheless do we take your feedback very serious.
As soon as you had advised us of the missing cues and foosball we had sent our crew with replacements. They must have grabbed the wrong foosballs and we apologize for that, however they also stated you were very happy and satisfied with the cabin.
The gameroom is well equipped and in perfect working condition, I was personally there to inspect last week, moving forward, replacement game pieces are at hand for our guests to assure uninterrupted enjoyment of all entertainment provided. Extra pillows for the sleeper sofas in the closets do not have pillow cases, all sleeper sofas have rolled up sheets including pillow cases. You had advised one light bulb was out in the hallway and it was replaced immediatly. Our crew and I have checked all lamps and they are working fine, please note all lamps and small appliances are unplugged after every guest stay to prevent possible short circuit's, in the cabin rental world it is a standard safety measure.
Our advertisement states washer and dryer available, at no time did we advertise full size of such.
We have a great crew taking pride in taking care of our cabin carefully, altough rare, as you can see in over 30, 5 star reviews, there might have been an oversight on the grill or fan this one time, rest assured it was addressed in detail immediately. We look forward to continuing to provide excellent service to all our guests.
Sincerely Carlos and Karolina
Plenty of room for a large crowd. Really enjoyed the movie room. Would consider renting again in the future.
