Casa Stayton - a little slice of heaven on earth!

It's all about the view right? So close to the Ocean you can hear soft soothing waves and the view is spectacular! There is no one above you and no one on either side. Unit #13 is apart of a 16 units condominium building, located on the 4th floor looking over the whole town.

Everything you want in one space - laundry, hot water tank, full kitchen, dishwasher, patio overlooking the ocean, wifi, fans or a/c and it's all set in an amazing community! Our cleaning lady, Nancy, comes on every other Wednesday, so if you are a long rental, make sure to say hi :) Cupboard by the main door has flashlights, umbrella, grocery carrier, plastic bags and other things you may find you will need.

Olon is located about 2 œ hours from Guayaquil airport. You can take a bus to Olon or book a driver in advance. It is sandwiched between two cliffs and has an amazing 15 kilometer stretch of beach to walk, run or surf. Surf is a beach break and perfect for beginners to intermediate. Surf schools are around (we highly recommend Ecuador Outdoor). The building is mixed with other rental units and full-time residence, all very friendly & respectful. Olon is a quiet town, were most restaurants and bars close at midnight (some open all night during festivals / holidays). There is a mix of restaurants for all dietary needs OR feel free to make your own food in the beautiful kitchen, which is fully stocked. In town you have lots of places to choose from for morning coffees and breakfast, as well as lunch and dinners. There is a fabulous market in the morning with fresh fish, shrimp and other things or wait for the truck to come around to purchase, along with bread, fruit and vegetables. Quick walk to the highway were you could get transportation to any towns or cities near and around the province. Montanita, which has a huge nightlife, and lots of shopping. It is a $.50 bus ride which takes 5 min. or a $2 cab ride that takes 3 min. And more food and shopping markets in Salinas / La Libertad

Relaxing in olon

Property was great top floor well kept great views of the ocean very short walk to the beach. We could watch the beach out front or watch iguanas in the trees outback

Jardines De Olon

Olon is a quaint fishing village with many excellent restaurants and bars on the Ecuadorian coast between Salinas and Manta. It boasts one of the longest beaches on the coast. Jardines De Olon (Olon Gardens) is in an awesome gated location and the building is not that old. Sarah our apartment owner and Karen the manager made us feel welcome and up to speed with all the services. During our stay between Jan 20 - Feb 17/24We felt very safe while amongst other guests and locals. We would not hesitate to come back.

Olon holiday

The apartment is on a top floor and has a great view of the ocean from the small patio. You can hear the ocean from the bedroom at night. The owners and manager were all extremely responsive to questions/requests. The beach extends for miles. Food is inexpensive and the fruit was wonderful. We had a great time.

A great spot

We enjoyed our stay! Hot water, no issues with wifi, amazing location, stunning view, clean space and the host was very communicative. I’d recommend this spot to anyone!

Olon isn’t for us

We very much wanted a property with a pool to use/sit by with supplied sun-beds. The pool is a plunge pool overlooking a car park, it’s not to relax by. I did ask the owner this and if I’d had a full reply on this and had it clarified we never would’ve stayed. The pool was dirty and the block tired. If you like a surf beach holiday with a very noisy beach not that attractive (competing music) large loud groups you’ll love it. This was our first time in Ecuador and whilst we thoroughly enjoyed scuba diving in the Galapagos I didnt really enjoy Olon. It’s a very dusty and unattractive small coastal town. We usually go to the far east/Asia and I don’t prefer this. If you like Ecuador I guess it’s ideal. The info pack from the owner needs to be updated as there was some backwards and forwards that could’ve been avoided. The cleaner was very good. The apartment was clean but tired the rooms could do with a paint and the bedrooms need side lamps, lighting is like a prison block. Just not for us.

Best Unit in the Building!

Amy's unit is the best one in the building. Both the living room and the master bedroom have great views all the way to the ocean. I turned on the air conditioning twice during the week I was there - I just kept all the windows open the rest of the time and enjoyed the ocean breezes. I looked at 4-5 other units in the building (to purchase) and this one has the best view and was appointed the nicest. Amy was super helpful during my stay when I had questions. Eva, who checked me in, made the whole process easy. Both of the bedrooms are full sized. I enjoyed the dishwasher as well since most places do not have one in Ecuador. The location is great - it is a two block walk to the beach and a two block walk to town. I had a rental car and the unit had a secure parking spot inside the gate, which was great.
