Cabin is really nice. We enjoyed everything about it. The pool table kept us entertain in the evenings. The heater in this cabin does its job and warms up the whole cabin. Good view of Pikes Peak mountain. Will say that even in the winter, a fan in each room would be nice to have just to control the air flow a little better. We did have a little miscommunication between the people managing the cabin and the owners but it all worked out at the end.

Love the location of the cabin and the land around was really fun for our kids to explore and play on. Plenty of room inside for hanging out and we really enjoyed our stay!

The house is very roomy. Definitely plenty of bathrooms and beds. We were alittle concerned with the no AC because we are from Texas but it was nice in the evenings and alittle chilly in the mornings. So just cracking the windows made it very breezy inside. Some of the downfalls are: Pool table has a large hole in the fabric and is unlevel which made it very hard to try and play on it. The ping pong table the same. Unlevel, the paddles were mostly all broken down( the padding on them is gone). The TV downstairs is nice but the one in the livingroom doesn't have any connection to any streams and all the DVDs are stretched up, so that TV was just a waste to have. Kitchen was nice, lots of cooking supplies but definitely could use a pair of scissors in the drawer with all the utensils. Need more dish towels ( only 1 provided). Our family loves games, the only games we found were old and didn't have all the pieces. Even the 3 decks of cards, matches were missing throughout all 3 decks. Even with these small things or you could call them little hiccups, our family enjoyed our trip. This home is on top of a mountain, really by itself, quiet and very pretty view of the surroundings mountains and nature.

This place is okay but not as nice as shown in pictures. Weeds all around cabin could have used being trimmed. It is not advertised as limited water. It also advertised as having electric and it does kind but from solar and generator . Boards broke on deck. Game room games are wore out barely usable . Washer had mildew and smell. Sewer had awful smell. Positives it is in a great location for seeing wildlife and being super quite .

When we checked in it was 80 degrees in the house we couldn’t find anyway to turn the only ceiling fan on in the house. There was one window fan available. The WiFi didn’t work, the cabinets had a terrible smell and the dishes were not clean. The washing machine had black mold and smelled terrible.

trouble with WIFI

the property is great it a was difficult for me to contacted the owner part of this could be my fault but I tried to text though the app and also email through the app because WIFI was not working it wasn't until Sunday that I was finally able to get her number through the app by talking to the operator once I was able to contact the own it was taking care of quickly.

It gets the job done.

The house was the perfect size and the location was excellent for our stay. The only problems were the cleanliness of the house and the lack of kitchen equipment for a home that size. We found several pieces of trash and the gas grill was not usable due to the cleanliness. Trying to prepare food for a large group with little to no pots and pans was a challenge. We still had a wonderful time making memories as a group

Peaceful off-grid retreat

Gathered up there with my family of 14, peaceful and lovely area. House was not very equipped for that many guests, although the property description says so. We purchased and left a blender there, not enough silverware, mugs, basic supplies. pool table was broken, darts were all broken, wifi was spotty at best. Table on porch but no chairs, realized table was set there to cover broken board on porch. House doesn't look as it did when pictures were taken. Needs some serious TLC. I would go back, with a smaller group.

Needs lots of work.

My family gathered here to celebrate my inlaws 60th wedding anniversary. The house fit our needs in size and sleeping capacity. We had a great time! That being said there were a lot of issues: The house is very rundown with multiple items that were broken. The was a broken dining room chair (missing cross bar and unsafe to sit in) and the arm of the one living room chair came off in m;y sisters hand, a broken shelf in the refrigerator door and would not hold anything with weight, the screen in one bedroom was ripped halfway up, 1 kitchen drawer wasn't usable and was broken and another only opened up 1/2 way, there were huge cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling and lights, one of the lights in the bathroom was burned out, unable to turn on ceiling fan, the pool table would not release the balls and so couldn't be used, the towels were old and very stiff, the dishes in the cupboards were thrown in haphazardly and some were dirty (my sister organized them ) no towel racks in the bathroom upstairs, the instructions for the house were scribbled on a sheet that looked like it had gone through a rainstorm and was not welcoming in the least, the outside surfaces were all peeling paint and there were no outside chairs to enjoy the great view. We also found mouse turds on the sink in the morning. Overall just a very sad house that needs lots of TLC. When I called the owner she said she hadn't been there for awhile which was obvious. What we got wasn't worth what we paid.

Remote & Cozy Cabin

It fit the needs for our family well! We enjoyed watching the sun rise in the distant mountains in the east, and the sunset from the distant mountains to the west. Also enjoyed watching the many chipmunks and had deer come almost right up to the cabin Only drawback was 4 miles of rough gravel to get there. But overall, we had a very enjoyable time.

Just as listed

Very nice cabin, very clean and a good price. We had an issue with the internet, although the purpose of the trip was to connect with family and to get away and it was not a terribly big issue. Drove the hour to Elevenmile Lake and enjoyed a day there. No power issues or bed issues like we had read in previous reviews. One neighbor was unpleasant. The property is 4 acres but nothing marked; we walked to a rock formation within eyesight of the cabin for a few family pics and was confronted that we were on his private property. I informed him that we did not know but we were renting the cabin and was told it was 4 acres, he just sternly repeated it was his private property. We did not venture away from the cabin again. We were considering coming back to this cabin again but will not due to the neighbor.

Memorable Spring Break Trip

We had an amazing stay here. The place is huge, very remote, and peaceful. Owners were very responsive on some quick questions. Highly recommend.

Great stay!

After booking this stay 7-8 months in advance and then some of the bad reviews coming in we were a little nervous about going and it being a disaster. But it was great! The location is beautiful on a mountain. We never had any electricity or water issues and we got 24+ inches of snow in 24 hrs. So under those extreme conditions and still not having any issues is a win! The owners contacted us the day we arrived and gave us their number if we had any issues at all to call them. Easy check in and check out! We had 6 adults and 5 kids and had a great time here! Would go back!

Ignore the bad reviews this place is amazing! Not 1 complaint. The family had an awesome time at the house and exploring! Will definitely go back.

Disappointed - Not returning.

I don’t remember ever complaining about accommodations. This one was very disappointing. Our biggest complaint is the condition of the beds and mattresses. The mattresses were so thin, worn out and decades old. We had 4 of the adults in our party that had to sleep on air mattresses because of the bad condition of the beds. Our next major complaint is the lack of supplies at the cabin. No trash bags, many lights bulbs were out, provided only 7 small bath towels for a party of 10. No dish towels. One roll of paper towels. There was a small baggie of laundry soap... not even enough for one load. No bath mat, slippery floor. Horrible sewer smell outside the cabin. The internet information that was provided was not accurate. We called the owner and left a VM. We later found corrected internet information on the kitchen counter. However, we were unable to get the wi-fi to connect or when connected, it did not work. We never heard back from the owner. The cabin definitely needs a LOT of maintenance that has been left undone for some time. When paying so much money for accommodations, we shouldn’t have to provide our own air mattresses and supplies.

We were very comfortable in this mountain home. The views were lovely! There were only 2 of us, but the house has many bedrooms and could have accommodated many more!

Do NOT Stay Here!

What was supposed to be a vacation ended up not being much of a stress free vacation due to barely having power or water. We didnt have power for the first night starting around 2 AM and flicked on and off about 8 times, waking all of us up, until about 9 AM when we also found out there was no water. I did get ahold of the host but I had to go hunt for a key to turn on the outside generator. I constantly had to go out to the generator to turn it on just to get enough water and electricity for us to shower. The next night we also ran out of electricity. We lost hundreds of dollars in meat and had an injury and medical bills due to the power being out. As well as we also had someone who depends on CPAP machine who didnt get much sleep due to this. And the generator had an alert saying Maintenance Overdue. Not worth it, at all. Worst vacation for my whole family. There was also a total of 8 body towels when rated for 14. The fridge also was regularly at 68°, which meant we lost lots of groceries. When we arrived there all the plates in the cabinets were still dirty! Worst rental experience.

Getaway reunion

The place was very clean and efficient. 10 of us stayed and had plenty of water and electricity. There is a washer/dryer that is very quiet as well. There is a grocery store within 30 minutes that had everything we needed. Beautiful views and endless memories were made. Highly recommend.

LIES

The ad is very misleading- the cabin is off grid so you have glithches with that- They are still having water issues- went 2 days without. Beds are bad. Mattress comfort may be subjective but when you are feeling the springs its time for a new mattress. Host was not helpful at all. Lied to us about internet outage. Just one problem after another. We would have left early if we could have. Please do not book this cabin until they put up an honest ad and fix all their issues. DONT WALK, RUN AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!!!
