A modern four season fully winterized three bedroom cottage with a partial lake view and an open concept main floor with soaring vaulted ceiling located at Lion's Head situated in sheltered Whippoorwill Bay. Centrally heated and supplemented with an electric fireplace in the living room to keep you warm once the temperature dips down. A perfect place for relaxing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, etc.

Modern cottage with all you need

Brads cottage is a great , very modern cottage within a short drive to town. The cottage has everything you need for a great stay. We drove less than an hour to some of the best/ most scenic hiking trails in Ontario. Brad was easy to communicate with and made sure we were well taken care of. Great spot !

Great location, we were able to see some beautiful trails on the Bruce Peninsula. Only complaint, and it's a big one, is that there is no hot tub. I was looking specifically for a place with a hot tub to enjoy the night sky. Ad clearly states there is a hot tub but there is none to be found. The downstairs washroom has a nice size soaker tub, but it is definitely not a hot tub. We were quite disappointed to see the ad lured us in with a total lie. I reached out to the owner directly who replied by telling me the ad did not advertise a hot tub. I have the screenshots to prove it. So, if you're looking for a nice location on the peninsula but not hung up on a hot tub, this place may be a good fit.

review of cottage

was disappointed with the cleanliness of the cottage. You could see that the bathrooms where not cleaned overall very well. no keurig coffee make or fireplace as mentioned in listing. Tried using the oven one night and it filled with smoke. we ended up using the bbq instead. Dyson vacuum cleaner did not work. my suggestion would be to have the items you listed in your ad and have the cottage professional cleaned.

Belle maison dans un coin très tranquille, mais un peu loin de tout, et surtout la propreté de l’hébergement laissait à désirer. Nous avons du laver le frigo avant d’y mettre nos choses, la douche était sale. Il faut apporter ses draps et serviettes.

A Great Location on the Bruce

We come back to the Bruce every few years to enjoy the trails, Cyprus Lake, Singing Sands, hiking and watching the sunset on the Huron side. Whippoorwill Cottage Is a great location to reach all the points of interest on the Bruce in a short time. The cottage is well equipped and certainly in a quiet location to relax after a day of travels.

Beautiful Bruce Peninsula

Lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings. Over the last 18 years we have have divided our time between the city and Lion's Head so it was a bit like coming home.

The cottage is centrally located in the beautiful Bruce Peninsula so whether it's hiking the Bruce Trail, swimming at the Lion's Head beach, visiting the many attractions that the area has to offer or simply finding a place to kick back and relax, then Whippoorwill Cottage should be your destination of choice. The cottage is fully winterized so it provides year round accommodation for guests.

Due to the unique times we currently live in, I am asking that all guests bring their own bed linens, pillow cases and towels. Comforters and pillows are provided for you. Please be assured strict cleaning and sanitizing procedures are in place to provide you with a worry free vacation.

The cottage is located on a dead end road with minimal traffic. You will have a partial lakeview and it is close to the water. There are a number of unidentified shipwrecks in Lion’s Head Harbour; the most shallow is a 42-metre long schooner that can be easily seen from a kayak. Looking out from the Lion’s Head Beach you can see Point Hangcliffe, the highest section of this area of the escarpment, and farther along, at the end, you can detect the outline of the famous lion’s head. There is excellent deep water fishing for salmon and trout in the area. Tobermory is a short 30 min drive North where you can discover the beautiful vistas of Mermaid Cove and Little Cove along with many National Parks. The Grotto calls all tourists - it's definitely a must-see! The Bruce Trail is another feature not to be missed. You will find entrances throughout Northern Bruce Peninsula. This trail can be picked up just a few minutes walk from The Whippoorwill Cottage or take a very short drive and park at the Richardson Side Trail. If you are a photographer - Lion's Head trails have the most spectacular places to sit and photograph. There is a public access to the water across the street or swim at the beautiful Lion's Head public beach. The cottage is centrally located for quick access to anywhere in the Bruce Peninsula.
