First impressions: everything was bigger and better than the pictures. Especially the pool, which is huge (great to swim in as well as for children to play). Liliane and Marc are fabulous hosts, full of local knowledge. The house and grounds were perfect for our families…nine people aged from 3 to 76. The kitchen is well equipped, excellent fridges etc, and a double sized oven. Perfect for cooking for a large group. Bravo!

Thank you so much for this wonderful review and for your enthusiastic “Bravo”! It was a real pleasure for Marc and me to welcome your family to our holiday cottage. We are delighted that you found the house, the grounds and especially the pool even better and more spacious than you expected from the pictures! We love seeing the Clos come to life when families gather, and welcoming nine guests ranging from 3 to 76 years old was a lovely example of how the house can bring several generations together. We are particularly pleased that you enjoyed the large pool, the garden and the spacious, well-equipped kitchen — especially when cooking for a large family! We were also very happy to share some of our local knowledge with you and hope that it helped you make the most of your time in our beautiful Anjou region. Thank you again for choosing our Clos. It was a pleasure having you as our guests, and we would be delighted to welcome you back for another family holiday in Anjou. Warmest wishes, Liliane & Marc

We had a fabulous week at Le Clos. The property was immaculately clean, the rooms spacious and comfortable and plenty of room for socialising. The kitchen is well appointed with ample cooking and serve ware a large gas cooker and Miele dishwasher. The pool is the best we have ever had in our twenty years of holidays I. France and the garden beautiful and tranquil. The village is peaceful the residents friendly and the bakery and supermarket within easy walking distance. There is no parking in the site but this was no problem as once we had dropped off our bags in the courtyard we were able to park in a large car park less than a minutes walk from the property. Liliane and Marc are lovely people helpful and kind hosts, thank you for a lovely stay at your beautiful property.

We loved this home from the past, the architecture, the lovely gardens, the interesting furniture, clean kitchen and bedrooms. Our hostess was friendly and helpful. The nearby bakery was a real treat too.

The perfect holiday home for the whole family

My husband and I stayed at this property with our daughter, her partner, our 17-year-old son and his friend. Marc was there to greet us on our arrival and showed us around the entire property. The photographs do not do it justice and the accommodation was vast. All of the facilities were outstanding, from rainfall showers to Tempur mattresses. Each of the king sized beds can be made into twin beds so virtually any configuration of accommodation is possible. The swimming pool was beautiful and it was fantastic to have this all to ourselves, along with the huge garden. The boulangerie is a 32nd walk away, with lovely, friendly staff who will make up baguettes with different fillings to order at very reasonable prices. The Super U supermarket is a five minute walk away and had everything that we could want during our stay. Each room has its own air-conditioning unit with remote control so we were all very comfortable despite exceptionally hot temperatures outside. One evening we spent the evening with Marc, tasting wonderful wines, that he is an expert on, and chatting late into the night. The towns of Saumur and Angers are around 30 minutes away and there are beautiful chateau, restaurants and shops very close by. This is definitely the best holiday home we have ever used and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It had everything you could ever wish for and we have had an amazing holiday and I’m very sad to now be home.

Lovely peaceful getaway

We had a lovely three week stay with friends at this lovely house. On arrival we were met by Marc and Liliane who made sure we had everything we needed and gave us plenty of space to enjoy the whole property throughout our stay. The pool was a highlight for the children, and the peaceful surroundings meant that we were able to relax. The bakery and supermarket were a short walking distance away and Liliane advised us of things to visit locally. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Amicales salutations angevines, A bientôt !

I love my adopted region of Vallee du Layon very much. If you wish, I'll advice you on how to make your stay unforgettable: touristic sites, vineyard discoveries, gastronomy, walks, hikes...

I fell in love with this beautiful property and decided to create a charming accommodation here to welcome you and help you discover our magnificent Vallée du Layon, the sceneries, vineyard, gastronomy and plenty other things around! It is ideally located in the heart of l'Anjou to visit Angers, Saumur or Cholet as well as to discover natural landscapes.

I love the architectural quality of the property with its two beautiful outbuildings that have been restored and equipped to welcome you. I decorated the places to recover the charm of a family home where everyone will feel as though they are in their own home in a comfortable, modern and stylish place. To ensure the quality of your sleep, I chose the ultra comfortable Tempur bedclothes. You will appreciate the bathing and swimming pool in summer, and the barbecue that is to be savoured nearby.
