This two-bedroom (plus loft) cabin boasts gorgeous alpine views, a wood stove, two private decks, and a TV available in each bedroom.

Located just six miles from the slopes of Purgatory Resort and 21 miles from the town of Durango, there are plenty of excursions to take locally. Both also offer shopping and dining. Alternatively, you can just relax at the cabin and take in the balcony views.

This updated cabin has comfortable living room couches to unwind in while warming up by the wood stove. Pop in a DVD or watch cable on the flatscreen TV. You can also disconnect by stepping out onto the decks for a cup of coffee or to take in the fresh mountain air. Two chairs in an inset by the balcony create a wonderful reading nook with views as well.

The galley kitchen provides all you need to make a homey meal and provides a dishwasher so you don't have to do the cleanup. Summer months are a great time to take advantage of the deck's grill. A wooden dining table is provided for meals together in the cabin, and small patio tables are provided on the balcony for al fresco dining under the stars. The third bedroom is the spacious loft, located just above the living room.

In winter months, head just up the road to Purgatory for skiing, snowboarding, tubing, sleigh rides, and the like. In warmer months, drive to nearby Electra Lake for hiking and canoeing, or to the Animas River for gold medal trout fishing. Take a day trip to historic Mesa Verde National Park 56 miles away to view ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings. Mesa Top Loop Road takes you on a scenic drive through archaeological sites including Petroglyph Point Trail and the canyon vistas of Sun Point Overlook.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
