Location - This elevated, classic Australian weatherboard home is only a short stroll to the popular Rye foreshore, pier and shopping strip with cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and retail stores. With four-bedrooms, a massive yard, and easy access to the beach and local shops,
Sleeping - 3 well-proportioned bedrooms each with Queen bed, ceiling fan, black out blinds, and designed with simple, stylish furniture giving them a relaxed and beachy vibe. The fourth bedroom has two single bunks. Linen is supplied but you will need to bring your own towels
Bathrooms - The large, sparkling white main bathroom sits next to the bedrooms and has a shower, handbasin, toilet, bath, and lots of natural light. The laundry room has a washing machine, shower, and toilet.
Lounge - The front door opens into the lounge room with comfy leather couches, flat screen TV, reverse cycle air-conditioner, large windows with blinds and a cute nook with seating for two - perfect for enjoying your coffee in a quiet space filled with morning light.
The entire house has ducted heating/cooling and wifi.
Kitchen - Beyond the lounge is the spacious kitchen/dining equipped with generous island bench with four breakfast stools, a Bosche dishwasher, stainless steel Toshiba fridge, kettle, toaster, oven, four burner gas cooktop, a Caffitaly coffee pod machine, and dining setting for eight.
Dining - Enjoy your meals looking out onto the back yard through glass sliding doors to the patio with pergola, BBQ. Or dine on the 10 seat alfresco setting. Beyond the patio is a huge, enclosed back yard with lawn and an outdoor shower.
Outside - The large yard is surrounded by a white picket fence and lots of trees for extra privacy. Up a small set of stairs is a charming, covered porch and the main entrance to the house.
Please note the fencing is low and there is no gate between the front and back garden.

- This is a great place to stay. It's well set up with everything you need. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach and handy to all the shops. The kitchen is well set up - we managed Christmas lunch no problem! Highly recommend.

A pleasant getaway to Rye
Property met all expectations, it was very clean and had plenty of kitchen ware and wine glasses etc

Pet and child friendly
We stayed for 10 days with our family and dogs. There was plenty of fenced space outside for the dogs. The kitchen/dining area was spacious. The living area did not have enough sofa space for us all. Easy walk to the beach and various facilities. We enjoyed our time at the house and visiting many peninsula attractions.

The listing said it is pet friendly but when we arrived we discovered the very low fences and gates that don't actually lock due to them decaying. There is no fence around one side separating the back yard from the front and the front fences are at hip height. We asked about if this was appropriate for 2 medium sized dogs when we requested the stay but all we had was an approved stay so we had to assume that it was. When we entered the house we found a note saying not to leave animals unattended for their comfort and safety, which is not ideal when you want to go visit restaurants and national parks where you can't take dogs. Otherwise a very nice stay, clean and comfortable.

We stayed at this lovely property recently for a relaxing family trip away during school holidays. Size of the house was perfect for two families, each with three kids. Kitchen and dining area was a lovely space. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed to prepare our meals. The lounge area was nice and cosy but perhaps slightly small as we all couldn't fit on the couch to watch a movie but we made it work with extra chairs. The outdoor seating area was lovely, perfect place to have our morning coffees. Location was excellent and very close to the beach. We went for a few walks to the beach before and after our meals. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and the house was a great choice for our little getaway from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. Thank you!
