About this property
Right on the ChattahoocheeRiver - visit Helen, fish off deck, or enjoy fire pit.
Piece of Paradise Rocky River has 36 feet of sliding glass doors all facing this beautiful and private part of the Chattahoochee River. A lovely bridge crosses a stream that continues on into the "Hooch"where you can stand and fish or watch the kayakers and wild life float by. A wrap around deck is covered on the river side, so you can sit at one of the bistro tables and enjoy this tranquil view while a lovely stream sings in the background. The house is uniquely designed with 2 main level bedrooms with a full bath and a huge loft bedroom with its own full bath. The game room has 2 large sliding glass doors that overlook the picnic area and river. It has a bar, high top tables with stools and a kitchenette that made this area practical and fun. Just outside is a charcoal grill and picnic table. A few steps down to the river is a fire pit and several comfortable Adirondack chairs. The fishing is excellent: bass, brim, catfish, and the occasional trout. If you enjoy kayaking and tubing, this is a perfect location to paddle or float about. Also, Wildwood Outfitters is 5 miles up river, so you can enjoy trekking down the river and exiting right on the property. There are many amenities: 2 flat screen TVs -two 50 inch, Wi-Fi, land line telephone, game room, poker table and chips if requested, board games, washer/dryer, dishwasher and a ramp for grandmother.
Game room: air hockey, foosball table, checkers, cards, poker chips and layout poker table topper, corn husk toss, board games, television and a kitchenette.
The property is centrally located. Helen, Clarkesville, Cleveland, and Dahlonega are a short drive away. The area is rich with attractions like wineries, hiking trails, water falls, fine dining, fishing, kayaking, tubing, antiquing, flea markets, Cabbage Patch Dolls, gold and gemstone panning, zip lining, horseback riding, train rides, go-carts, etc. There is always something to do.
Perfect place to Shelter in Place. Private riverside home with lots to do. We clean with antivirals from top to bottom and air out each time. Safe, private and fun. Should a renter wish to exceed the 6 person capacity, there is an additional charge of 25.00 per night per additional person. We have 2 single blow up mattresses with sheets, pillows and blankets upon request. Even with this, there is an 8 person maximum and only with permission from the owner.
Sorry, no pets.
Firewood is provided for your convenience; however, we ask for a reasonable donation based on the amount you use. Firewood is expensive here, too.
(We do not recommend this property for families with infants and toddlers as there is a loft and a daylight basement. Too many stairs for the little ones.)
We get you started with tissue, Kleenex, dish detergent, fabric softener sheets, laundry soap, paper towels, and trash bags. For extended stays, longer than 3 days, you will need to bring more of these things.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We were there for a wedding and wished we have had more time on the property to enjoy the water and awesome game room! Communication was beyond amazing! If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay there again. We appreciate you sharing your home with us!
This is cabin was awesome! The rooms were great and just being on the river was so peaceful! Just far enough out of town but close enough for attractions. We loved it and will be back!
We loved our stay but the place could have been much cleaner for our taste.

Wonderful place to stay! Hosts are awesome and went above and beyond when we were unable to access Hulu (older model TV) - they went and bought a TV and hooked it up for us! We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
We had a wonderful stay in their house. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pans and housewares that you might need. We slept in the bed upstairs and it was very comfortable. The view of the river is beautiful. I would highly recommend this place!
Excellent house in a great area! Took 2 youths on youth hunt at Buck Shoals and both Botha tagged out on their 1st bucks! Had great communication with the host and highly recommend!
Great place for couples or friends and families (with or without children). I’ve booked stays at this property twice and hope to book additional stays in the future.
Peaceful Riverside Getaway With Everything You Need.We really enjoyed our stay at this riverfront home on the Chattahoochee River. The views were beautiful and the location was perfect, close to Helen, GA as well as many parks, mountains, and waterfalls. The home itself was very well furnished and had a warm, cozy feel that made us feel comfortable right away. Everything we needed was provided, from kitchen appliances to thoughtful extras. There were plenty of board games and all the conveniences you could ask for. We felt very welcome and truly enjoyed our time here.
House was perfect for our needs. Great location for all the activities North Georgia has to offer! Will keep this property in our favorites for next time!
Just what we were looking for. While not the best time to fish, our resident fisherman was just happy to be able to through a line in the water. The deer were out most evenings, and we had a visit by 2 opossums who were enjoying all the leaves. The hosts were also always available to answer a question and responded quickly. It was an easy ride into Helen and over to Dahlonega for the day trips we planned. Larger stores for grocery shopping were also close by, so you felt away from it all but close enough if you needed something. We had a wonderful stay.
