Beautiful Property But Needs Proper Maintenance

Property is a beautiful and spacious log cabin! It is one of only 2 VRBOs I know of in this area. The beds and the bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. Family room surrounded by windows with gorgeous views! Checking with the property manager in advance, we learned that there were brew coffee pots and Keurig’s both in the main kitchen area and in the lower kitchen as well. We were told that the kitchen was well appointed with appliances etc So it was with disappointment when we entered the home to find that neither brew coffee pot was in working order and only one Keurig was operable but leaked all over the counter. We also noticed that the Keurig had been taped underneath so this was apparently an issue before our arrival. We tried making ice. Ice maker worked briefly upon arrival, then stopped making ice Worked a little bit again the last morning we were there. It needs maintenance The refrigerator in our kitchen had mold between the shelves and there was quite a bit of food (opened and unopened) left in both refrigerators. The small microwave had no dish to set on the turntable. Some of the baking pans were not clean. The light fixture above the eating area was very dusty and littered with bugs At least 3 of the sliding doors in the main area of the home would not lock RV hookup …. Our friends were without electricity because they couldn’t access the detached garage and turn on power to electric panel The code for garage didn’t work on the side garage So while the property itself was beautiful, It was the little things that made our stay less than perfect.

Amazing place!

The Bonanza Outpost was amazing! The home itself is beautiful and the setting is even better. Our 3 year old loved it and even tried his hand at the frisbee golf course. The different birds visiting the house were beautiful and the creek was cool and relaxing.

Beautiful home in a beautiful setting

This property was everything we had hoped for and more. It was very private with plenty of room for our younger children to explore. The views were what Colorado dreams are made of and the snow all over was the icing on top. The house was stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The bunk room upstairs is wonderful if you are traveling with multiple kids. They could watch a movie in the loft while the adults were able to visit downstairs. I highly recommend this house for a nice, quiet vacation.

Spectacular cabin in a spectacular setting

Just got back from a great getaway into the mountains. There were 10 of us, 4 adults and 6 kids. The cabin worked perfectly for us and was in great shape. We loved the deck and the views as well as the plentiful open space around the cabin. The owner installed an excellent frisbee golf course that we overlooked on booking but took advantage of quite a bit while there. A+ stay

Dream Cabin and Location

I am always looking for an off the beaten path place to stay with some peace and quiet. This was my dream cabin and location. My wife and 4 kids had a great time. There was plenty of things to do like hiking, fishing, riding some ATV trails, disc golf, and much more. Salida was close by for the kids to play at the riverside park and grab a quick bite to eat. The cabin had all the amenities that we could want or need. This was one of the few places that we have stayed at, that when it was time leave, we were genuinely sad we had to go. Thank you so much for letting us experience this beautiful setup that you have.

Beautiful Cabin

This was our first time staying at this location and cabin. If you want to be secluded this place is great. We came to the area to try out some different trails to ride our OHV. We were disappointed with that as we really couldn't find any good trails. The cabin was well stocked and the house manager John was great to work with. I could have watched the hummingbirds all day! The only complaint I really have with the home is that the master bath had no privacy. I love the view from the window but it really needs some blinds or something to give it a little privacy. Other than that this place was amazing!!

Great family vacation

This place provided just what we hoped for: a secluded, quiet (except for the noise we made ourselves) mountain getaway with all the conveniences of home. Our kids had tons of fun playing disc golf, fishing for small brook trout in the creek, and playing games in the cabin, and we also enjoyed a couple of nearby hikes as a family. It felt like we were all alone, aside from an occasional passing vehicle on the road, from which you couldn't even see the cabin. Highly recommended!

Tranquil retreat

Spacious and welcoming cabin with views and activities for days! When we arrived at the Outpost, we were instantly welcomed by the aesthetics and ambiance of this cabin. Wonderfully clean and cared for, this property touts functionality with its well apportioned kitchen and a huge island, beautiful chefs stove in the open concept great room with floor to ceiling windows! A two sided fireplace leads to the extra large deck overlooking the fire pit area and stunning views of the mountains. The walk out lower level has a full kitchen, bar, table tv, sauna! Two firm queen beds and a full bath makes this a perfect place for more than one family to vacation. The land is phenomenal! A big beautiful deck, fire pit/ledge, an excellent and challenging disc golf course with paths and so much to explore. We actually ran out of time before we could discover all that we wanted. So grateful to have found this gem.

Beautiful Lodge with Mountain Views and Seclusion!

My family fell in love with this lodge! Beautiful, spacious, rustic, tons of windows and light. Plenty of space for our family with 3 levels of living areas. We enjoyed the sauna. Loved the secluded location and the mountain road was very good compared to most rough roads we have traveled. Also the home was well stocked with everything you can think of, soaps and shampoos in every shower, plenty of blankets and towels, plenty of kitchen ware and extras in the pantry. Only complaint was the hot tub wasn't working and the master bed was not very comfortable but we would come back and stay here again without thinking twice about it!

Beautiful Mountain View’s!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin is beautiful, lots of room with the loft. It was decorated really pretty for Christmas. We loved all the windows which showed the beautiful views of the mountains. Also the loft had sun lights when on a clear night you could see the stars! The disc golf was a plus even in the winter! It was fun seeing the birds in the morning eating from the bird feeder on the wrap around deck. Loved the sauna, and the kitchen downstairs. The table downstairs was perfect for playing board games. We would love to come back to experience the cabin in a warmer season

the house was wonderful and we had a great visit. i would give attention to the garbage retrieval system. we accumulated 5 bins (our bad) and were asked to place them at the street the morning of pick up by 7:00 a.m. the driveway is about 1/4 mile long.my SUV could not carry them. fortunately my daughter was still at the cabin and could make the necessary trips. we had many great adventures and enjoyed the seclusion.
