Property is beautiful! My family and I stayed here in June 2025. We have been to many locations in the area, but this one stands out as one of our favorites. Our 14 and 10 year old boys loved the kayaks. They spent hours just paddling around the dock and racing each other. The fire pit is gorgeous and the property is quiet. The weather was beautiful for our stay, so we enjoyed lots of time boating, grilling, and relaxing. Lake trips are my favorite trips with the family. We made lots of memories!

This home was wonderful! Plenty of space, loved the kitchen! The dock was perfect for fishing! I would suggest bringing some more washcloths as there were not very many. Neighbor Danny was so nice! It was quiet and relaxing. We did not want to leave!

Quick family trip to relax and unwind. Perfect home for quiet and relaxing. Comfortable beds. Clean place. Beautiful view. We enjoyed the fire pit. Only issue was ants on the porches, but our trip was so short we didn’t let the folks in charge know. That is an easy fix.

Private, comfortable get-away

We were very pleased with this lake house. The location was very private in a cove off the main lake. The house was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. No complaints at all. The firewood being provided by the hosts was a huge perk, it was dry and ready to burn. You may want to bring a hatchet to make some smaller kindling for building your fires.

We scheduled a cousins reunion, seeking time to connect. This was a wonderful location for family time. We spent hours around the fire pit, watching wild life and chatting. The boat dock was perfect for fishing and the ease of parking a pontoon boat rental. The lake was quiet, no wake zone allowing kayaks to be safely used. The house was clean and worked well for our group. The owner left us s’mores makings which was a special touch.

Great secluded getaway. Property is as explained. We were able to put our boat in just 5 min away which was nice. Only thing I would advise is to take a picture of your door access in case you don’t have cell service to pull up the details once you arrive. I depended on my phone and the link sent, not thinking I wouldn’t have service.

Barkley Lake Weekend 2024

We had a great time with our kids…fishing,kayaking and swimming off the dock. Peaceful surroundings and lots of wildlife to watch. House was clean and had everything we needed. Lots of great memories made. We tried to contact the property manager a few days before the trip and didn’t get a response to our email. Thankfully I found out what I needed to when I looked back at the house details online. It all worked out and we really enjoyed our weekend.

A Much Needed Break in this Beautiful Home by the Lake!

I flew in from California to visit my grand-babes on their school fall break who live in the area. This was the perfect place to have them all to myself, and give them (and Dad and Step-Mom) a break! :D The host had amazing and courteous communication prior to checking in with texts and emails, and great instructions for the home. The home was comfortable, clean, and plenty of space to spread out with lots of amenities and nice surprises! The backyard with the firepit for making s'mores and the dock was a dream! Although the water was low this time of year, the kayaks were still the best entertainment for all of us! The weather was perfect to keep us happy for hours. Thanks so much for being a part of the memories we made, and making everything perfect for our week together!

Just what we were looking for!!

This place was just what we had hoped for! Very clean and quiet neighborhood. We were able to enjoy the lake all day and pull right up to the boat dock at night. Dock had nice lighting and the neighbor even allowed us to use his dock as well. Plenty of room in the house with a nice fire pit out back to wind down the evenings. Excellent place!

Nice vacation home with good amenities. PROs--clean, quiet, larger home. Ice maker in frig. Lots of things to do near by. Kayaks! Gas grill! Lots of places to sit outside. Host was responsive to issue with a/c. CONs--need to bring some kitchen supplies (aluminum foil, napkins, extra paper towels, etc). Spotty cell reception. Satellite TV reception hampered by stormy weather. All in all PROs out weigh the CONs. I would definitely go back. Recommend you try it too!

This was a nice place if you are wanting to hit pause and relax. The house was exactly as we expected, and the owners were so kind. They reached out via text to make sure everything was good upon arrival. Our kids loved the canoes and fishing! They even made a friend while we were there! I think having a pontoon would have been fun, but it was perfect as is! Thanks for a wonderful time we really did enjoy this place!

Great Lake House!

We had a great time at the house with the family for the weekend! The house is clean and well supplied with things such as towels, toilet paper, pots, pans, seasoning and other things you might need while there. The kayaks were a huge hit with the family! There are a lot of stairs and a steep hill to the dock, but it was great exercise! The fire pit was a lot of fun for our group! The master bedroom was amazing!! Communication with the property manager was easy and all texts were responded to very quickly! The property is about 15-20 minutes away from grocery and other stores, but we had no issues making the drive back and forth each day. There’s some cute antique stores worth visiting nearby as well. Overall I would suggest the house to anyone looking for a lake getaway with family!

Relaxing

Decided to get out town for the first time with our little one. Our main objective was relaxation and that was exactly what it was. Husband caught a few fish, the house was clean, beautiful, very well put together. Sunrise/sunsets were amazing. It was everything we needed.
