Character cottage

Very much enjoyed our stay in this peaceful character cottage just a short walk from shops. Cottage has everything needed for a comfortable few nights stay to explore Burra and surrounds.

A lovely cottage in Burra!

We had a lovely time in Burra. The cottage has lots of old world charm with mod cons. Great location, walking distance to pubs, cafes and shops.

Highly recommend this Historic Cottage . Near town (walking distance) and serene. Beautiful gardens compliment this house . Everything we needed was there. Beds comfortable, warm, it has a fireplace but we didnt use it. Functional kitchen , and nice relaxing lounge area. So much History in this cottage and an EX Premier of the state owned it at one point . Plenty to see in the town , grab the Burra Pass, its well worth it. Very clean and neat place .

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen had everything we required to self-cater. The shower was superb with the hot water coming on fast and strong. The collection on display was inspired, interesting, and intriguing. The garden was lovely too.

Bed was comfy, heating not up to it (a very antiquated, loud split system for the whole house , with no heating at all in the kitchen)lights inadequate and the steep, uneven paths leading to the front door not suitable for carrying bags, shopping etc.

House was clean and cosy. Easy to communicate with our host and pass on information. We really enjoyed the fireplace! An excellent place to stay while enjoying the history of the region, the house itself is packed with gems of insight into the rich heritage Burra enjoys. Definitely recommended!
