About Gabriel

I have lived in New Orleans since 2009 after having been visiting every couple of months for the last 2 years. I finally settled down and bought a home in 2012 after having explored many neighborhoods.

I love New Orleans and have worked in hospitality for many years here, I'm so happy to have started my family in this amazing city that I now call home.

Gabriel purchased this house in 2014

Guestbook comments from the manager

Absolutely loved staying here. It was spacious, super clean, and beautiful inside. Gabriel made us feel like we were staying in a 5 star resort! The neighbourhood was quite and safe. Everything was within walking distance from the house, and the ferry was very convenient to cross the river to get downtown. I will be staying here the next time I'm in New Orleans! If your considering this house take it! You won't be disappointed.

Spacious with generous amenities!

The property was larger than expected. The rooms had large beds and still had space in the rooms for luggage. Gabriel texted me to make sure we arrived safely and could get in the door. She had cold water in the fridge and other commodities available. There was toiletries in all the bathrooms Incase we forgot anything and laundry and dish soap as well. The neighborhood seemed safe on this street and the streets around it. It was an easy commute going to the zoo, French quarter, or even out to Metairie or Kenner. I’d rent this house again next time I come to visit family!

Excellent property, excellent location!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect, safe location to enjoy the French Quarter via the $2 cash ferry located two easy blocks away. No rental car needed--Lyft to and from the airport is @ $45 (parking in NOLA is expensive). Home is roomy and well appointed except short on dining space, dishes and comfortable seating in the gathering area. Three bedrooms with three baths can easily accommodate three separate families. Perfect for our family of six adults.

Gabriel was excellent to work with and provides a very informative house binder including the local Algiers Point historic walking tour. AP is a food desert for groceries, so purchase on the other side of the Mississippi. There are three decent local restaurant/bars near the ferry. Highly recommend.

Adorable house in the historic Algiers neighborhood. Enough privacy for three families and large enough common space to enjoy each other’s company. Gabriel was great. Highly recommend

AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL Property in a Safe Location! (Close to the French Quarter)

  • 5 of 5

We had the most AMAZING time at Maison de Mauve!!! I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a quieter, local experience near the French Quarter.

The property is beautiful, spacious, updated and contains tons of amenities. We really enjoyed the decor and art displayed throughout the house. We also enjoyed the privacy and ability to park our rental car in the driveway. The ferry is a few blocks from the property and is $2 one way. It was really cool to take the ferry over the Mississippi river.

Gabriel is extremely responsive, helpful and is such a nice person to work with. We loved our trip to NOLA and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I will definitely be booking this property again in the future!

Nice historic home w/ lovely courtyard outside.

Lovely historic shot gun home, in Algiers Point. Comfy beds, nice linens, well stocked pantry & frig.

Would stay here again when we come back to NOLA....just 2 short blocks to ferry across the river & then you're as almost @ the Quarter.
