Historic cottage just minutes from downtown Harbor Springs!

Beach Retreat – come enjoy this family friendly historic beach cottage that dates from the 1880s. The summer cottage was originally built on Harbor Point but was moved over the ice with horses in the 1910s!

This home is right on the beach and offers views of Little Traverse Bay, Petoskey, and Bay Harbor. The large sandy beach is ideal for launching your kayak or paddleboard and enjoying smores at the beach firepit. Zero gravity chairs are provided for your beach enjoyment. Just steps from the lakeside covered porch is a private deck with chairs and cocktail tables. As the shoreline is constantly changing, water shoes are recommended for swimming as the lake can be rocky.

The cozy living room with a wood burning beach stone fireplace encourages you to put your feet up and read a good book on cool days. There is plenty of seating for family and friends to gather around the fireplace, Smart TV or take in the views through the large picture window. Off the living room is the den area. The Wi-Fi is strong and will enable guests to Zoom their appointments or stream movies.

The full kitchen offers room for preparing meals in and connects to the dining room with seating for six. The dining room is a cozy space with antique cottage table and chairs. In the kitchen you will find: refrigerator with icemaker, full size oven and stovetop, dishwasher, coffeemaker and Mr. Coffee K-cup, in addition to being fully stocked for your cooking and baking needs.

On the main floor is a queen bedroom and a full bath. Upstairs you will find a bedroom overlooking the lake, offering a queen and twin bed with Jack-and-Jill three quarter bathroom that connects to another bedroom with two twins. A third bedroom upstairs has one double bed. A half bath can be found connected the twin and double bedrooms. All rooms have windows and almost all rooms have views or partial views of the water. You can hear the lake as you drift off to sleep after a fun filled day on the beach.

A washer and dryer for laundry are available in the detached garage (garage is unavailable for parking/vehicles).
