Pirate Bay consists of 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and makes it perfect for meditation, yoga, and a place to reconnect with the universe and recharge your inner energy.

There is lots of parking in and around the property. Beach is 2 minute walk and amenities such as groceries and a hardware are a short distance away.

The cabin was as presented in the photos and all beds are comfortable. The kitchen\living room layout is just right; the barbecue is just off the deck in the big, beautiful backyard. The cabin is well looked after clean. Just a short drive or 20 minute walk to the lovely beach. If we needed anything, our host provided it right away and made great suggestions about neighbourhood places of interest, including a local food truck with pickerel and chips.

Review for Pirate Bay Cabin 3-Night Stay in July 2025

This was a last-minute cabin trip for two families and two dogs.It was our first time booking with Vrbo. It was our first time booking this cabin. For us, booking was straightforward, pricing was good, and information on Vrbo was accurate.The correspondence and attention we received from Cheryl was superb. She was timely, thorough, friendly, accommodating and informative. It was truly a wonderful first-time experience.The Vrbo posting specified "peace and tranquility". During our stay, I can wholeheartedly say that I experienced it. For me, it was first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise at the big window. Or it was catching sight of the blur between water and sky for the first time. The cabin is walking distance to a spot on the shore of Lake Manitoba and a short drive to its public beach. Both give ample opportunity to experience your own peace and tranquility.I deducted 1-star from location because the neighbourly-welcome (from actual neighbours) was a bit lacking than other places we've visited. We assumed that people in the area just preferred to keep to themselves.As for distance from the city, the land on which our stay was, the cabin's distance to beaches, ice, bike trails, etc. it's worth the 4 stars.We had 4 middle-school to early high school aged youth, 4 adults, and two dogs. Our time at this cabin was restful, filling, and memorable for all of us. We intend on doing it again!PS. Bring lake shoes; lake bottom can get rocky.

We had a wonderful stay! Cheryl was such a lovely, communicative and accommodating host and the cottage was perfect - even better than in photos :) Very short walk to the beach, quiet community, gorgeous sunsets - we hope to stay again!

Everything here at Pirate Bay is very clean, welcoming and cozy. After a day at the beach we always looked forward to walking back to the cute cottage. The kitchen has everything you need, the air conditioner keeps the place cool on hot days and the fire pit area is perfect for cooking and eating together outside. It was easy to find and the community itself is incredibly friendly and warm.

Great communication

Check in process was nice and easy. Place was very clean! We loved the BBQ and outdoor area. Any issues were addressed very quickly by Cheryl. They were great hosts!

Wonderful Mini Vacation

The place was wonderful! Very clean, everything we needed in terms of kitchen items and bedding. Lots of space for just our family of 3. The main (queen) bed was a very firm so my partner and I ended up sleeping in the twin beds in another bedroom and they were quite comfortable. Our rabbit loved the backyard and all the yummy outdoors smells. Beautiful sunsets nearby and a nice beach a little ways down too. Would definitely stay here again!

Last minute break!

There was lots of space outside and a great fire pit although only 2 chairs. The area was quiet and the beach only a few minutes walk. While we were there we didn't see another person on the beach and it was a great place to fly kites. Inside the property it was spacious and clean. No washer and dryer. There was Wi-Fi but it was very slow. Take your groceries with you or prepared to travel as the local store (at the gas station) was small and had basic items. We had hoped to find a great ice cream place for the kids but didn't find anything close. There were plates etc. for 4-5 people. The master bed was very uncomfortable and I ended up sleeping on one of the twin beds (in the same room as my Grandson) which was slightly better. We had taken our 2 dogs and they also enjoyed their stay (but I could have done with a broom or vacuum to clean up their hair lol). There was nowhere to store 4 bikes despite there being a double garage and sheds (none were available to us). There was a single concrete bike stand. No deck to sit out on. There was a tiny BBQ but it was too small for us to use. We enjoyed our stay but felt the price was high considering the facilities.

Our Pirate getaway!

This was my first time booking through Vrbo, and actually my first time booking a cabin. The online booking went smoothly and is so convenient and user friendly. I have to say, Cheryl has made our stay so pleasant and enjoyable! She’s very quick when responding to many of my requests and questions and delivered my requests as needed. Our stay here was what we needed, it was away from the city, very close to the beach and I have to say the sunset was the best I’ve ever seen!!! This is a place where I know I will be back to one day 😊.

I was nervous having not rented through VRBO before, but Cheryl was very helpful. She even provided passes to the local beach and treats for early trick-or-treaters. My boys loved the surprise Halloween!

An excellent place to relax and enjoy nature

The entire cabin was spotlessly clean, all kitchen necessities were available and easy to access and use. Host was very friendly, helpful and responded to all questions quickly. Beach is nearby and long walks on the beach were fabulous. We would definitely stay here again - thank you C&C for making our time here terrific

Perfect Cabin Vacation

My brother just happened to come across this property when he stopped for a garage sale. He found out it was being fully renovated and available on vrbo the first weekend in August (6-8), which coincided with his wedding in St. Laurent that weekend. It's a five minute walk from where his weddiing took place in St. Laurent, Manitoba. He let me know about it right away as we were looking to stay close to where the wedding was. We drove in from the US so we wanted to be as close as possible to where my brother was staying. Cheryl was an amazing host! She kept me updated on how the renovations were coming along. She made sure all the renovations were completed down to the littlest details before we arrived on Friday night. There were five of us staying for the weekend and it was perfect in every way. We could not have asked for a better place. It's a beautiful area and we loved that it was walking distance to my brother's wedding. We found the cabin very spacious. There was a portable air conditioner that kept the cabin nice and cool. That was a good thing because it was very warm that weekend! Everything we could have needed was supplied. I would definitely rent it again if we find ourselves in the area in the future.
