Location, location, location. So convenient. Friends from both coasts decided to meet centrally in the midwest for our yearly gathering. Minneapolis was gorgeous, we were a block away from the "pencil house" (Bobby McFerrin's former abode), tons of lakefront paths, killer ice cream at Sebastian Joes, cinnamon buns at Isle Bakery, epic acapella rap battle at the Phoenix and even a trek to Owamni. Property Owner was very responsive to questions.
We came up for a short visit over the holidays to see our 2 adult children who live and work in the cities. Very cozy and clean. Full kitchen. Close to lots of wonderful restaurants

From the Owner: "Thank you, Timothy, for your 5-star rating and feedback, I will work to get the Bluetooth speaker and have a couple of bikes ready to be provided. I have previously lost bikes 3 times thus far when I kept them in the garage, keeping them in the house is not so good. But I will store it where I live and can provide them for use when needed."
Lots of from and 10 minute drive to downtown. It was clean and plenty of room. It would have been nice to have a TV in the main living room, but besides we would for sure stay there again.

Absolutely a gem. We were in Minneapolis for a family event, and we could not have loved this house more. Big comfortable living room for connecting with friends and family, sunroom office space, and sunny breakfast area. Blocks from Lake of the Isles. Short drive from Birchbark Books, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, and more.
Family vacation and everyone had room and plenty of bathroom space. The host was most gracious. Addressed our questions immediately and was extremely responsive. Home is as elegant as pictures but still very homey!! We had the opportunity to meet the owners who are very caring and gracious!! Wonderful, central Minneapolis location. Highly recommend.
Fantastic location, just around the corner from Lake of the Isles, lots of coffee and dining in the area, walkable to the art museum, sculpture garden, and even downtown. The house is old with creaky floors, loud and sticky doors, etc. Thick and hard pillows were problematic for many of us and would be an easy upgrade. Fridge wouldn't get below 51 degrees, though the owner said there was one in the basement we could use instead.

Owner's response: David, We were surprised by the review and rating. You didn't give any indication that things weren't going well. When you asked for a late checkout for someone in your group, we happily obliged. - This is the first complaint that we have received indicating that the floors are creaky and loud and that we have sticky doors. - We have new and plump pillows, and again this is the first we've had complaints about them. We will look into getting thinner soft pillows that we will keep as spares. - We apologize for the fridge, this was out of our control and something went wrong with it. The defrost timer went bad and it has already been replaced with a new one. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for.
Wonderful home that was just as nice and comfortable as the pictures show. Traveled to the MSP area to attend the NCAA Frozen Four Hockey Tournament. Took us only about 15 minutes to get to the Xcel Center for the games. Home was a great location for getting to the games with plenty of local restaurants nearby to try out between the hockey action.
There were four people in my group and we all had our own bedrooms to sleep in very comfortable beds. Would have been room for a few more hockey fans with the basement living area which was also very nice.
Very accommodating host as well.
Will definitely return the next time the Frozen Four is at the Xcel Center!

Charming home but needs a professional clean
This is a very charming and traditional home in a great neighborhood with beautiful surroundings and easy access to plenty of activities that Minneapolis has to offer. We had no problems with the check in and check out process. The kitchen dining nook was very nice and inviting with lots of sunlight and windows, which is where we spent most of our time when we were at home. The reason for the 3 stars is that we felt the other reviews going into this stay were misleading. First impression was that it didn’t seem professionally cleaned (the master nightstand with lots of dust, dirty sponge in the sink, leftover food in the fridge, and leftover half drank water bottles in another bedroom drawer). One bedroom had no outlets, some bedroom doors don’t stay open, some don’t stay shut. The closets are a mess with personal items just tossed randomly in there. There were quite a few personal items (which normally ok if put away) that made us feel that the owners were still living there. We were excited to use the back patio but the inner corners of some of the cushions were dirty/moldy. All in all the company we had made the trip but we would not stay there again.

Charming period house with plenty of space in a very walkable neighborhood. We enjoyed visiting the Lake of the Isles Pencil on our walk around the lake.
This home is gorgeous, in a great location and felt like home the moment I walked in. The owners were incredibly responsive and kind. So grateful to have found this home.
Our family enjoyed staying at this elegant old house close to the Lake of the Isles. The beds were comfortable. The huge dining table was useful for a large family dinner. The only downside is that the windows can’t be opened so we couldn’t enjoy the cool weather. Coming from the heatwave in the East, we would have liked to live without air conditioning for a while. But that’s only an issue in warm weather, which is a short season in Minneapolis! Maybe the nonopening windows were mentioned in the listing and I missed it. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend staying at this house.
Great house, great location, great owner/manager, 5+ stars!
This house is a gem with a great location that is steps from Lake of the Isles and walkable to Uptown. The house was exactly as advertised and then some .... beautifully decorated and in great condition. Everything you need is in this house, including a well appointed kitchen and plenty of room for everyone. We even felt inclined to have extended family over for dinner. The owner was very attentive from the beginning to the end of the stay and even made sure to have the walk cleared in the morning after more than a foot of snow the night before. With family in the area, I plan on frequent travel to Mpls and would stay here again, without hesitation. 5+ stars!
