Secluded Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful northern getaway! The cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing trip. The setting was beautiful surrounded by trees, and right on the lake with plenty of yard space as well. It was the perfect place to unplug and enjoy some family time. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable retreat up north!

Idyllic location, gorgeous home, lake access

Absolutely lovely. Small, pristine and quiet lake. We live south of the Twin Cities; hearing all manner of loon calls was mesmerizing. Close to Lake Itasca State Park and the Mississippi headwaters. Owners so kind and nearby and available for any need with just the right amount of involvement.

AMAZING!!!

This place is so beautiful and the perfect location. The kids loved the paddle boat and catching crawfish. The kitchen is to die for and the master bath OMG just amazing. The owner is super nice and was really fun to talk with. He even made us dinner our first night there. I can't say enough good things about this place and the owner. The house is also very well stocked anything I needed they had.

Laporte Lakefront home stay

This beautiful cabin and yard so exceeded our expectations! and it was the quietest place we have ever stayed. Seeing deer right in the yard was a treat. We so enjoyed the jetted tub each night. We definitely hope to return, and thanks again for sharing this amazing place.

Tranquil, secluded get-away

What a great place for the family to congregate and stay after the college graduation events in town! Everyone was content- from the 8 yr old to up through the grandma and grandpa. Beautiful house and property on the lake with everything anyone could need or want included.

A beautiful property!

Loved being on the small lake. Was fun to have a paddle boat and floating raft. Our grandkids begged to be on the dock fishing constantly. The 3-1/2 year old was casting and pulling in sunfish right and left! The long driveway and dirt road was great for taking walks!!

Beautiful, relaxing get away

This is a quiet, spacious place by the lake that all 8 of us loved. It is well taken care of and the kitchen was a treat to cook in. It has all the dishes, cookware and appliances you would ever need and a nice gas stove. The owner was great to work with and responded to our question immediately. We would definitely like to return next year.

Peaceful paradise.

A little bit of paradise!! Our family enjoyed a relaxing time fishing and watching the loons and swans on the lake, and the deer wandering through the property. The home was very comfortable and well equipped with all the items needed. It was close to Itasca State Park and Bemidji. Definitely would recommend!

Spacious and Open

Beautiful home with lots of space to spread out or gather. Although we were there for funerals this week we will definitely come back for more of a “VayCay” trip in the future. The lake was so beautiful to wake up to I know our kids would have loved to find some time in the lake. This spot is near family in Lake George and Park Rapids both near by. The location is near fun shops, fuel, great restaurants, parks (I highly recommend Itasca State park) and more and yet the house is off in a private and quiet area!

Perfect Get-away

This property is off the beaten path so you feel like you're truly away from the daily hustle bustle yet is still close enough to all sorts of attractions and places to visit in every direction. We had an absolute great experience and will return for a revisit when back in the area. Charlie was a super host and went over and above to communicate with me...he even offered to let us check in early and out late. They have everything you possibly need and then some. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Private lake getaway!

This cabin is truly a gem. If you are looking for a cabin away from everyday life on the lake, then this is the spot for you. The outside brick oven didn’t appear to work, and it was hard to get the heated floors to work in the master bathroom, but overall it was a great vacation spot. The bedrooms were a little small and need new carpet but the kitchen, sunroom and vaulted ceilings in the living room were stunning. We even saw a deer each night come up to the backyard. I would also recommend trying to get a ladder or easier access into the lake!

Family Vaca

This is a very nice place. We weren’t sure how many of our family could come so brought our camper. Good thing we did! Listed as a three bedroom but one is a walk through another bedroom which worked for a small family. Master bedroom is gorgeous! Otherwise couch sleeping…which is ok for some but not all. Could not land our pontoon, too shallow with a bunk trailer. May have brought our boat instead. Enough of the cons. This is a very well appointed home! All the cooking supplies you could need. Large kitchen and dining room with a beautiful sunroom. Glad for a garage as the boys could protect vehicle and another boat during a storm. Charlie even came with a basement key in case of tornado. All in all, a very nice family vacation!

Very nice with a glitch

The property was lovely. We enjoyed our stay. However the owner called and said a remote and A Roku was missing. It was rather distressing, Later he called to apologize. It was found. This situation was not’ appropriately handled.
