The Space:
2 bedrooms & 1.5 bathrooms; this home was built to enjoy the tranquility of a quiet neighborhood and calming garden! Blazing WiFi; fully stocked kitchen (silverware drawer is within drawer), and dining for 6! Shared outdoor space includes washer and dryer, covered dining space and garden! Guests enjoy convenient in-town accommodations along with excellent amenities like blazing fast WiFi, garden, and a cute front porch to sip your coffee - all within 10 minutes to any Tampa attraction. Come see all that Tampa has to offer!

Guest Access:
You have unrestricted 24-hour access to your unit. Guests will receive a unique PIN for door access prior to check-in, which activates from arrival through departure date.
Please note that the backyard space, while shared, is private to the building, and there are only 2 units, including Close Swann. Please be courteous of our space and treat our neighbors with the same respect you would show your own!

Hyde Park is one of the oldest and hottest trending neighborhoods of Tampa. Though this charming borough is in the urban core of Tampa, it should appeal to guests looking for a more luxurious environment. If you have any questions or concerns about our neighborhood, feel free to ask us any questions before or after booking.

Hyde Park is well known by locals as one of the most high end and desireable Tampa neighborhoods. We are also close to many theaters, event spaces, theme parks, beaches, malls, and universities. We'll include a comprehensive city guide immediately after booking!

-With a central location like this, Uber and Lyft are incredible options for getting around. Fares are generally around $6-10.

We appreciate you taking the time to read the following Guidelines/Info. Please consider them when choosing us as your booking of choice. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

IDENTIFICATION - Reservations may require further guest verification to prevent credit card fraud for both you and the host! Your booking platform does not share your personal information with your Host. Because of this, we require the responsible party who is physically staying in the home to provide a valid photo ID after booking is confirmed. We do not store or share this information and follow Federal information security guidelines. Please read the check-in form thoroughly and submit attachments accordingly.
EARLY CHECK-IN - We will try our best, but can only guarantee 4:00 PM. Please reach out on the day of arrival and we'll see what we can do.
SMOKING - Please remember that you will be staying in a home that is 100% smoke-free, including any common areas. Smoking is allowed only in the outdoor spaces.
SECURITY - Our homes are outfitted with "Nest" cameras that overlook the listing's exterior only. There is also a "Minut" sound level measuring device that will automatically alert management of loud music after quiet hours. Neither of these devices allow us to see, hear, or record anything inside our listings. It is important to note that your privacy is extremely important to us and that you ARE NOT being actively monitored.
VIDEO/PHOTO PERMITS - Video and Photo Permits available upon request with a fee and some basic ground rules. Just ask us!

ADDITIONAL HOUSE RULES:
1. If you're coming to Tampa Bay to party, you've picked a great area to do so! Please be advised, we are NOT able to host any parties or events in or at our home! Though we're sure it won't come to it, severe complaints of unruly behavior or reports of any parties/events will, unfortunately, result in you being asked to leave without a refund. We've created this listing to bring people together, and we want you to enjoy our space for the entire length of your visit!
2. Being a family home, we also have a no smoking policy, although you are welcome to smoke outside or in our designated smoking areas if one is available.
3. Check-in is anytime after 4 PM, and check-out is no later than 10 AM. Arriving slightly earlier, or want that extra hour to sleep? That may be a possibility, but please check with us first. Requesting early check-in via our guest check-in form or while booking is a request only and not a guarantee.
4. Place all trash in the appropriately provided trash receptacles. If our maintenance team has to visit the property to sort and remove unauthorized debris from our recycling receptacle, you will be charged an additional $50 fee.
5. Since this is a neighborhood, limit all sound levels between the hours of 9 PM and 7 AM and loud music, BOTH indoor and outdoor, between 7 PM and 7 AM. See rule number 1.
6. While we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that before leaving, you wash and dry any dishes used during your stay. Please do not use the dishwasher or washing machine while you are not in the home. Flooding can occur, and you may be financially responsible for any potential damages to our rental.
7. The easiest way to disrupt an enjoyable stay is a plumbing problem. To prevent this, we kindly ask you to please place things like sanitary napkins and feminine hygiene products in the trash bin we've provided in the bathroom. If maintenance is called to the home to clear clogs or items from our drains, you may be financially responsible for any potential damages to our rental. We simply want to ensure you have a royal flush kind of holiday.
8. We understand that accidents happen. But we do ask that you please let us know when they do. Chances are we can fix them as effortlessly as possible, which also means better chances of having your full security deposit returned too.
9. We ask that you kindly respect our maximum occupancy requirement. We understand that for a whole variety of reasons, you may want additional guests to stay in, or visit, our rental. Only guests listed on the reservation may visit the property at any time. If you wish to other guests to stay, please contact us to let us know in advance. We're reasonable folk and will accommodate whenever possible.
10. What you do in your personal time is entirely up to you, but when staying at our rental, we have a strict no drug use policy. This is just the law, not so much one of our rules. If you are found to have illegal drugs, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
11. Always check to ensure all windows and doors are locked before you leave every time.
12. By booking, you acknowledge pet(s) or service animals have stayed on the property - Many of our rentals are pet friendly but not all; therefore, pet dander may still be present even after the most thorough of cleanings.
13. Guests acknowledge our beds are fitted with waterproof, bedbug, and dust mite-proof protectors. They are inspected between each guest by our cleaners during each turnover. Please do not remove it.
14. Our rentals are outfitted with 'Nest' outdoor cameras or doorbells that record at all times, especially during your stay and overlook the listing's exterior only. There may also be a 'Noiseaware' sound level measuring devices in select properties that will automatically alert management in the event of loud music or ambient volume after quiet hours. This device measures sound in decibels only. It does not record the sounds period. Neither of these devices allows us to see, hear, or record anything inside of our rentals. It is important to note that your privacy is extremely important to us and that you ARE NOT being actively monitored.
15. Your booking platform does not share your personal information with your Host. Because of this, we do require the person paying for the reservation and the responsible party who is physically staying in the home to complete our guest check-in form and rental agreement. You will be required to provide a valid photo ID after the booking is confirmed. Your identification is not stored and is protected from the distribution or further use for any other purpose than identification, in accordance with Federal information security guidelines.

Overall nice place.

First off, it’s an old property in an older established neighborhood. I didn’t feel unsafe at all, but I think the age of the property and neighborhood is what would through some people off. Don’t let that offset you. Also, there were sugarants in the kitchen. That’s annoying, but again this is Florida and the idea of not getting sugar ants in an older home is a pipe dream. Basically keep your expectations real. I felt the home was cute and cozy. I only have one actual complain: good god make sure you bring your own towels and cutlery. I was shocked to see that for a family of three for an extended weekend we were given 4 bath towels.. . 4.

First impressions set the tone

The front door has a nice new electronic lock, but the rest of it looks held together with paint. The back door also looks less than secure. If I was alone I would be terrified. There are three very nice TV’s so that made me feel like the area was more secure than it appeared. Our biggest concerns were the condition of the mattress and the foamy substance coming from a crack above the bathtub. The appliances were in good condition but we only used the refrigerator.

Good, for the money.

This property was fine. It matched the description well, and met my needs for a place to stay while in town for business. There were some hiccups: I entered the property and was immediately met with the chirp of a fire alarm with a dying battery. No worries, I found the unit in question and removed the battery. There were plenty of other fire alarms, so this was not a problem. The biggest issue was that the front door lock batter was dying also. This became evident the next morning after I returned from the gym at 6am and was locked out. Here's the problem: there was no way to reach anyone for assistance until the office opened at 9am. I received a message, not a call, from the office where they gave me access to the housekeeper key and all was fine. But, no apology, no call to see if there were any other issues. I think this is a big no-no in terms of customer service.There were some areas on the stairwell ceiling with badly chipping paint. Same story in the upstairs shower, the ceiling did not envoke confidence. And while the unit was air-conditioned, the house was not able to maintain a decent temperature and the AC ran nonstop, 24hrs.... this unit will eventually fail, and it's only June. The location is prime, but the neighborhood loop where it is located appears somewhat sketchy, though I had no issues. I stayed at a unit mere blocks from this house and had a much more enjoyable environment and experience. All said, for the money, this worked for me. It was ok.

no glam tampa

The location of this property is great, but the condition of the place in a few of the rooms as well as the outside of the house and the surrounding homes was not very well kept.We arrived for a 4pm check in and the maid was still cleaning the property and told us to come back.Upstairs tub did not have very good drainage.All the soap dispensers in bathrooms were filled with water and not soap.Downstairs toilet bowl continued to run and a few of the downstairs blinds were broken.When I used my blowdryer in the 1st floor bathroom, the fire alarm sent off.On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable and furniture was nice on the first floor. The Air conditioner on the 1st floor was great, but would get very warm on the 2nd floor at night as temperature kept rising to 75 at night and would not stay at the temperature we would set.The front door key pad was very lose and on our last night we were not able to get into our unit as it was not working. Host did respond to us, but took about 25-30min to hear back and we were able to get into the unit.If the above issues were fixed, this place would be amazing as the location is awesome.

In town for a wedding

Although curb appeal was not a 5 star, all in all- it was a Very nice , quiet place. We walked several places (Bayshore was very cool) but we do not mind walking. Most people would probably rather Uber- most nice shopping and eating establishments were a few miles away. The property manager was very responsive to my emails. We had to Uber out to purchase soap and extra toilet paper. Also, there is a secret drawer inside a pull out drawer for silverware… it took me forever to find that. I’d suggest you hang a sign on the cabinet for other renters. And maybe a small printed list of closest places to dine, shop things to do etc…. We did enjoy our stay. Thank you!

Rest place for a whirlwind wedding weekend

The property was as advertised. Quaint and clean. We did have an issue with a slight water leak/ drops in the kitchen.... after 4 showers, but the management responded quick with our concern. We were able to walk to a few places for food and drinks. We were located very close to our wedding venue, so that was nice too. All in all we had a great stay! We do wish we had brought a deck of cards or a game to play, but that is our only regret. We did not utelize any of the outdoor/backyard amenties, since we were so busy with wedding activities.

Ok but needs some repairs

The duplex is nice and comfortable inside. It is rather dated but that’s not the crux of the issue. The stairs leading to the front door are uneven and there is a huge step to get in the front door (really sucks coming out the front door and forgetting about it). There is a cap missing from the hand rail by the front door with exposed nails I found with my bare hand twice as did another person in my party. This could cause a serious injury if not taken care of. There were also ants in the upstairs bathroom. TV in the front bedroom won’t turn on. Beds were comfy and A/C works really good. For the price I kind of expected a little more upkeep like with the grass needing to be cut etc. Overall, not terrible but could have been better.

Warning, not as described on Vrbo!!!!

Everything with this place is awful. Upon arrival we had issues with the lock code, we had to contact management a couple of times. While we waited outside, we perceived a strong pee smell outside of the house and cockroaches by the front door. Please also note that the area around this house doesn’t look safe. The house pictures on Vrbo were completely staged. The house absolutely doesn’t look as in the pictures. Downstairs the house is OK, except for the light in the living room which didn’t work. Upstairs the house needs a lot of work. All closets are dated and paint is peeling. The floors are also dated and need coating. The beds on both bedrooms are tiny and cheap. The worst area is the bathroom, the bathtub is moldy, tiles in the bathtub and shower were just painted and the paint is also peeling. The bathroom ceiling is falling apart. In addition, the house has a moldy smell and the bathroom upstairs smelled like marihuana. We contacted management to let them know we weren’t going to stay at the place as it was not in the condition described on Vrbo. We asked for a refund. Management indicated they will fully reimbursed and apologized for the inconvenience. We had to find a hotel at the very last minute as we were very concerned about the area and the house condition. Luckily we were able to find a hotel for that night and we had to make arrangements in another platform for our stay in Tampa. Management hasn’t refunded us and they aren’t responding anymore.

Needed to be near Tampa General

Pay attention to description when they mention SECRET silverware drawer haha it is there just look. Seriously though the place was quaint...and close to the hospital which is why we were there. It was safe, clean, and cute. Has all necessary things. Property manager responds quickly and friendly. No complaints. We would stay again.

Clean, quiet, comfortable

My brother and I stayed there for almost a week. The beds were very comfortable, and the smaller room was very quiet. (my brother didn't give me an opinion on the larger one) The showerhead was fantastic. We didn't use the laundry A little too far from the Hyde Park restaurants for typical walking distance. Short walk to The Patio if you're looking for a fun, outdoor sports bar. I liked having a USB port in the nightstand light. The smoke detector went off, not as an alarm, but a different sound. Hosts responded to my messages quickly, although the problem was never fixed I did let them know we were able to turn it off every day and it wasn't a problem.
