This was the first VRBO experience for we three older Canadian travelers and it was totally positive. We concur with all the positive comments of other travelers about the property and the area. The owner, Nora, could not have been more helpful and easy to deal with. She lives and works just down the street. Our impression is that you could not find a more honest and forthright individual. It is good to be able to deal directly with the owner. The apartment is just as shown in the photographs. It is up a short flight of stairs, something not really obvious in the photos. There are a couple of things we should have known which are no reflection on the property: It can rain an awful lot in Ireland, so if you are a walker, be prepared. We did hit a bad week in that regard but still enjoyed a number of lovely walks around the lagoon and on either side of the estuary out to the ocean. For us North American drivers, the N71 through Rosscarbery was easy enough to drive, but secondary roads were a bit nerve-wracking at first. Beyond the challenge left-side driving, the secondary roads are very narrow (by our standards) allowing little to no room for passing, occasionally with ominous stone walls on the left side of the car. Even on the N71, day-trips take longer than you might expect. Ireland is lovely; stunning when the sun comes out.
