Dome Solar Studio Escape Set in native forest high in the Blue Mountains. Enjoy

Eco Solar Dome is powered by solar electricity and you will drink and bathe in pure water harvested from rain and filtered.

The Dome is set between a rocky outcrop in the native forest with amazing views of the forest. Hear the birds sing and the frogs croak. It is private and secure with an outdoor BBQ kitchen with all cooking utensils and cleaning products.
Outdoor lounge, dining table and chairs as well as a confined fire pit is provided for your comfort. Forest walks are at your door step or just relax and take in some forest therapy. Watch the stars come alive at night and be kissed by the sun rays in the morning. You will love this tranquil space to rest, recharge and rejuvenate.

Please do not leave lights on and water running. . Short showers are appreciated.
The Dome has a queen bed, shower and small loo.

We provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cereals shower gel and towels.
Please clean all utensils and cooking area before leaving.

Dome Days

Stayed with Leigh in the dome over the June long weekend, was very private and quiet. It was an extremely cold weekend forecast but the gas heater and hot shower did more than the job and we were cozy as could be. Loved the stay, would highly recommend! Leigh was easy going and great to have a chat to, leaves you to your own devices but always available if you need anything.

Really beautiful tucked away place. Entry not as as advertised - you park at the house and then need to walk through the backyard of the house to get to the dome (it took us a while to work this out once we got there). Place was clean and really cost a the spot itself was tucked away. We did hear noise from the train which kinda stifled the “off-grid” experience but overall it was really nice. Big rocks to climb on to watch the sunrise and sunset and the heated blanket was perfect for the still quite cool spring nights (we went October long weekend). Loved the panels to look out from and the bbq and fire place that was sensational. Gym should not be advertised as it’s rusty equipment not in any type pf proper working order (we are both gym junkies and were disappointed by this). Overall was a nice getaway for 2 nights & something unique and different - we enjoyed it!

Dome

We were very cold as the heater in accommodation did not work, so once inside needed to rug up in bed. Had I known, I would have brought my own heating like a kerosene heater or something similar. I also would recommend bringing your own camp toilet as the one provided may not have enough space for your needs. Secluded bush ambiance was interrupted by next door neighbours generator as well as trains coming and going as often as every 10mins throughout the night. Next door neighbours are also able to view your activity. The only cooking facilities is an outdoor cooking area and seating area which is not undercover. You will need to bring your own gazebo covering and chairs for rain events. A vehicle awning is useless as you need to park your vehicle a long way away from accommodation We ended up doing food runs to local servo as it rained whilst we were there and we didn’t bring our own seating. Booking and check in straight forward. The bush is beautiful. You may need to do a bit of a tidy up. Reminants of building debris here and there. Dome facility is lovely, clean and tidy. Showering and warm water is adequate and surpassed my expectations. Bring own cleaning supplies as those provided were empty as was the mandatory body wash.

If something is broken its was broken by a guest. To our knowlege the heater was working for the previous guests. You should have notified us so we could replace it immediately as the next guests did as we have a spare heater. The toilet is a flushing eco toilet 30L capacity so im not sure how 30L capacity for 2 days for 2 people is not enough. We do not have control over neighbours or trains and if it was raining then no one cuts wood in the wet. Most guests eat out to support the local businesses but we do provide bbq, gas stove and coffee teble BBq tea coffee and snacks at no extra cost As we are a working off grid solar property we have consistent small sustainable projects underway there are no major projects underway so you are mistaking our green house for building materials. The distance between the car parking area is 30m. Cover for the outdoor kitchen is underway. Communicatipon is key so we can overcome issues you have. Thank you for your positive comments however it would have been good to place these first in your review rather than having a negative initial mindset.
