This condo is situated in the Mayan Rivieras Puerto Morelos, less than 20 mins from the Cancun airport.
35 mins to the North is the heart of Cancun, 35 mins to the south is Playa Del Carmen and 1hr 30 min to Tulum.

Chedraui and Aki supermarket is just 5 min drive as is Oxxo convenience stores. The new Go Grand Riviera Maya Outlet/Malltertainment centre, Latin America’s largest outlet is just a short 10-12 minute drive.

The condo is on the colonial side of Puerto Morelos however the beaches of Puerto Morelos and it’s town square are just 2 miles away (7-10 min drive) and easily accessible by taking the collectivo outside the community gates for approx 10 pesos

Ammenties were top notch, the communication with the property manager wasn't the best but had great communication with the owner. The location was great and felt very safe in the complex and surrounding area. Would recommend staying at condo.

There were issues with hot water in the shower. Most of the time hot showers would last a minute or two or not at all. Pretty terrible. Hot water system needs to be replaced. I don't think the unit was cleaned before we arrived as the manager thought we were arriving the next day but the owner knew we were arriving as scheduled. She came to let us in and I was telling her about all the crumbs on the surfaces and she kept wiping her hands rapidly over the table repeatedly saying how she had cleaned it herself as I watched the crumbs fly. There was also crumbs and a hair in the bed in the room with one bed. I put on clean sheets myself. Also, the rug in the living room is extremely dirty and greasy. Should be replaced. Shower needs a rubber mat to prevent bad odors from coming up. On a good note the beds were very comfortable. The pool area is a short walk from the condo. It's a nice environment and quiet at night. With a few improvements, this would be a really good place.

Great community feel

We enjoyed our stay, the community area and pool are wonderful, and nicer than other places we looked at. While it's away from the centre of town, we had an easy time getting around by taxi and collectivo. We found a few great places to eat within a reasonable walk. Tony was very quick to resond to questions and checking in was easy. There is a real community feel there, we met so many wonderful people.

New Favorite!

This will be the place I stay every time I visit the Cancun area from now on! Tony was always available and helpful. The staff at the condo was friendly. The pool area was new, clean, and furnished. The amenities new and clean. The unit was sizeable and perfect for 4 to 5 adults. The location was in a newer area, quiet and perfect distance to everything. I returned home telling everyone about this little treasure I stumbled upon! So clean, bright, quiet and perfect!!

First time in Puerto Morelos

Overall our stay was nice, but the beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. We had to get egg crates to be able to sleep. The sofa was similar. The toilet stopped working one night, but the local helper, Alex, was very helpful in getting it fixed quickly. He did everything he could to help with everything we needed.

Great place to stay

Me and my family of five with 3 teenagers ages 13,14 and 16 really enjoyed our stay here. Tony and Monalo were always availabe for any questions and responded very quickly. The only suggestions i had were the couch and coffee maker be replaced. Other than that this place was great and i would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Peurto Morales. The pool and basketball areas were very nice and were a huge hit with my 3 teenage boys to keep them busy. Within a 5 min walk there is a transit station that can take you anywhere in town for 10 pesos. We also liked the fact it was a gated community with security to enter the property. I would definitely stay here again.

Some positives; some challenges!

Let's start with the positive; the pool and surrounding area were great, and close to the condo. I was disappointed by the lack of comfort in the condo. There was only very minimal furniture, and the bed was hard. It is a great mattress, on an uncomfortable what seemed to be homemade slat platform. We were provided with one partially used roll of toilet paper for 5 nights, and one bottle of water. The bottle of wine was greatly appreciated, as well as the condiments left by owner and previous guests. The living room coffee table was peeling - the laminate trim was coming off. The stovetop was a greasy unusable mess. Unfortunately the passcode did not work, but the manager who brought us the key to get in was very nice and helpful. When I wrote to the owner asking him to resend me the passcode because perhaps I had gotten the numbers wrong, he never answered. If we had stayed only at this condo in Puerto Morelos, we would not want to come back to this fabulous town. Happily we had stayed elsewhere for the first week of our vacation, and had something to compare the experience to. For people of a certain age, Puerto Morelos is a wonderful vacation spot, and we would definitely return for an even longer visit, only, not to the condo I am reviewing. Although we did know there was no outdoor space for us to enjoy directly off the condo, we would have definitely had a better experience if we had chosen one of the condos with a balcony. Selva Escondida is a really sweet place!

Hi Heather, Sorry to hear that your experience wasn’t up to your satisfaction. One thing I take pride in as an owner is to always be readily available and quickly respond to guests with any concerns. I was aware that you had difficulty accessing the unit with the passcode provided and had responded to you with an alternate passcode exactly 11 minutes later as documented by the vrbo chat system and had also notified my property manager to come and assist you as you stated was very helpful in doing so. The unit is fully furnished with all essentials as shown in the numerous pictures in the ad…any more furniture would make it feel cluttered so far from minimal furniture I’d say. The cleanliness of the stove top is definitely a problem and have taken that up with the management to advise the cleaners so thank you for bringing that to my attention. I assure you that Selva Escondida Residencial is a great choice for stays in Puerto Morelos.

Great rental!

This was our first time renting a condo and we were very pleased. Tony, our host, was very prompt and helpful answering our questions. We had an issue on day one due to a mistake on our part and he got someone to come take care of it right away and was very gracious about it. Had a wonderful time and the condo and pool were both top notch.

The pool area with it's nearby basketball court, yoga area, BBQs and outdoor gym are definitely a PLUS at this site. A couple bicycles would be an added amenity to explore the surrounding area.

Very uncomfortable.not what we expected

The beds were very uncomfortable and hard. None of the towels available had been pre-washed. None of the kitchen dishes had been pre-washed. The pots and pans were of a quality that made it very difficult to prepare meals. The furniture was a very poor quality hard as a rock and extremely uncomfortable. Decor was poor. Upon arrival, one of the beds had no sheets on it. There were a lot of unnecessary appliances like a waffle maker, an instant pot and hot pot but no coffee maker. I would never recomend this unit to anyone.

I apologize if the unit didn’t meet your expectations. That being said, the beds in unit are new Sealy orthopaedic medium firm beds, the available appliances were clearly listed in the ad, although there was no coffee maker, an electric kettle and instant coffee was available…Housekeeping took place the day before arrival which included all bedding and towels sent to the laundromat and extra sets of bedding were available in the unit including 16 bath towels. As for the decor of the unit, it was exactly as pictured in the ad…no surprises. As an owner, I take great pride in customer satisfaction and as you know based on our communication prior to and during your stay, I am always available if any concerns are raised.
