Loved the character and history of place. Excellent location for Vivid and many other activities around the area. Great facilities in the kitchen and other parts of the cottage. Could easily and readily have stayed longer and will consider for future accommodation. More private than a hotel. Very roomy and ideal for us to have the 3 bedrooms. Host was friendly and helpful. Such an easy place to stay, convenient and felt like a treat.

This quirky place was perfect. Tons of space upstairs and we loved the funky downstairs. The location was amazing right between The Rocks and Bangaroo. We were able to get everywhere we needed within a 5-minute walk. Sam, our host, could not have been nicer! She went out of her way to make our stay comfortable.

Property was great with a really good location. Minutes to Barangaroo or The Rocks and only 10 mins or so to Circular Quay. Both TVs could do with an update to allow for smart TV but apart from that no real complaints. Was comfy and cozy and Sam was easy to deal with and knows the area well

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is comfortable and quirky, just the way I like it.The location is right in the heart of it all with Barangaroo train station a short stroll away and a beautiful pub across the road. The Opera House and Harbour Bridge is all within waking distance. Art galleries, cafes and beautiful retail stores, it has it all.

Great location, food was good at the Lord Nelson hotel and markets at the Rocks. The property itself was liveable but just "ok". I thought it was overpriced when I consider the negatives. The washing machine was broken (and you had to text the host to use it - we used it once but decided to bring dirty washing home for convenience), no toaster, the lounge was much smaller than expected with no real area to eat, the owner said she lived nearby but in actual fact she lives right next door which I would have preferred transparency about, we had a rental there was no car park with the property and parking in the area was horrendously expensive - better communication about this would have been appreciated as visitors from overseas. It was also restrictive in that you cannot turn heat pumps over 22 degrees, you are not allowed to use the courtyard, and I was unaware that no more than 4 adults in the property. We had two adults and 4 children and host unhappy about 2 extra children which I apologised for, but she allowed in the end which was nice - and I wish to provide a fair review. Would I stay there again, no.

For clarity on the above review. Property listings are there for a reason - to provide guests a description with details, photos, additional data and house rules required by local government. So you can see if the property will suite your needs. This is very well communicated. This very popular listing clearly states 4 guest maximum and no parking. It appears the host was generous though, when 6 guests unexpectedly arrived, instead of turning guests away I believe she did her best and did not charge any additional guest fees. It therefore appeared this ended up being a 'very well priced' stay in one of the premium locations in Sydney. I also note the host has not rated this guest as yet.

Fabulous location and very funky atmosphere. We could walk to the bridge the ferries the casino and the city . Lots of great pubs near by and awesome views !

Top floor bedrooms nice and roomy and nice location for a walk around water and the rocks. Unfortunately, the bottom floors let this cottage down. There is a strong musty smell as you walk in and even when leaving the main door open the smell lingered. There didn't seem to be a freezer therefore no ice was available and quite a few stickers with things that were broken or not working were in the kitchen. No normal toaster only a sandwich press not sure if this was a fire safety precaution.

Great Sydney stay

Awesome location, short walk to everything. Place was clean and well stocked. Manager was easy to get in contact with and very friendly and helpful throughout our stay! Truly a great place to call home away from home while visiting Sydney!
