This specific unit faces Mount 7 as well as other homes, however is high enough to leave you with an unobstructed view (especially with a wrap around private deck). This suite is located on the top floor of a 3 story building. It is only accessible via outdoor stairs.

About Golden and Surrounding Area:

Golden and Area A (Habart) are located in the Columbia Shushwap region and is located in confluence of two beautiful rivers - The Kicking Horse River & The Columbia River. While this natural setting is part of what makes the area so special, it also means that mosquito populations are significant during the summer months, particularly from June through September.

The Town of Golden carries out mosquito control efforts, and we also do our best to minimize mosquitoes around the property. However, mosquito populations are a natural part of the local environment and are beyond the control of any individual homeowner or host.

To help keep mosquitoes and other insects from entering the suite, please keep doors closed as much as possible, including when unloading luggage or moving items in and out. We also recommend bringing insect repellent if you plan to spend time outdoors, especially in the evenings.

Portable Air Conditioning:
Portable A/C units are available from approximately June 21 through September 15th. Outside of these months, cooler overnight temperatures make air conditioning unnecessary.

The river visible from the property is not part of this property and there is no guest access to the river from our land. Accessing the river would require crossing active CPKC Rail tracks, which is dangerous and prohibited. Guests must not cross the railway tracks or attempt to access the river from the property. Please enjoy the river views from your accommodation. Any activities undertaken off the property are at the guest's own discretion and responsibility.

Our home is located in a beautiful natural setting, and with that comes the realities of mountain living. Depending on the season, you may encounter mosquitoes, wildlife, occasional insects, train noise, changing weather, or wildfire smoke. These are all normal aspects of the area and are outside the control of individual homeowners. We do our best to provide a clean, comfortable stay and appreciate your understanding as you enjoy everything Golden has to offer.

Please Note that the CP Rail Train Tracks are about 200 Feet away from the property situated between our property and the Columbia River. We are about 6 Kilometers South the CP Rail Yard located within the Town of Golden. The trains move quite slowly as they are either just arriving from their destination, or just leaving from the Rail Yard. We provide Ear Plugs for any light sleepers.
