Family Vacation

Beautiful location! The home is beautiful with a few minor things. The low score on communication was before the trip, it was good while in country. If we return to St Martin we would stay here again.

Family Vacation in Saint Martin

The house is a little run down and you need to be a gymnast to get into the showers, but what’s right about the villa (its location on the beach, wonderful views, the pool) far outweighs any shortcomings. I would definitely stay there again.

The most amazing place....

We loved this private villa/pool and beach area! Leonard and Max were great with keeping in touch with us and making sure we were happy. Everything was clean and bright and happy. We can't wait for our next adventure there.

Excellent villa!

We have stayed at several villas on St. Martin and we would rate this one among the best of them. The view is spectacular, the Great Room is gorgeous and the villa is well laid out. The property managers, Max and Leo, were always prompt and helpful with anything we needed, and the cleaning and gardening staff were friendly and welcoming. We are definitely hoping to come back!

Amazing Beach Front Getaway!

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Villa. Our hosts were so helpful both before we arrived and while we were there. They we super responsive to our requests and quickly helped as get all sorts of fun adventures reserved. They work with great local companies to help get us around the island and entertain us. We spent many days and nights at the Villa enjoying the wonderful pool, ocean front walks, and barbecuing to the amazing views. Thank you Max and Lenord for such an amazing vacation!

A Week in Paradise

This property is very secluded. Right on the beach and winds keep you cool. Our host met us at the property, gave a quick tour, and left us to our Paradise. However, our host was only a text message away. He helped us order Pizza, find great local restaurants and provided us with everything we needed. The only issue we had was that we wished the pool was heated!

Pool/Beach/Sun/Breeze and Fun!

Beautiful older villa! Much larger in person! We had a wonderful time! Bring your water shoes, large size rock of all shapes in beginning of beach water…pack light .. washer and dryer! Second fridge in laundry area , for extra storage!! Leo and max , property managers were spectacular!! Explained all , if you need anything, they are there for you! Christmas at the beach

Excellent location, good amenities, very comfortable and spacious property. Extraordinary property manager. Leonard and Max were the best. They were in constant communication with us and facilitated a grocery delivery and a rental highchair for us. They also met us at the villa for check-in and gave us a full tour of the house and the house rules. The only thing we were surprised about was that three of the bedrooms are connected to the house but only accessible by going outside which was somewhat inconvenient at times with toddlers. It's not an issue for adults. We loved the property, the beach and the pool! The beach is secluded so that it is like a private beach.

The best of St Martin!

We have been going to St Martin for several years, and stayed on both the Dutch and French side. This house and location is by far our absolute favorite. Do not hesitate to rent this home!!! It sits right on the beach with STUNNING views and is just a short walk to Baie Rouge beach. It’s close to everything- great restaurants and beaches. You will not find a better location or more helpful owner and property manager. Leonard was amazing, always giving us restaurant advice, etc when we needed it and truly went above and beyond. We noticed some of the other comments stated the house was “older” but it is truly a gem. Being older gives it unbelievable character that a lot of other homes do not have. The pool was amazing! Everything was absolutely perfect!! We never wanted to leave! Thank you!!!!

amazing property

This is a beautifully designed villa! When you walk in the front door, you have breathtaking views through the back of the house. High ceilings, huge windows in all directions, large great room. The pool area is the same - absolutely beautiful and well-designed space. There is one bedroom in the main part of the house where my mother in law stayed. The rest of us (3 adult couples) stayed in the bedrooms that are attached to the house, but separate. You could hear the waves on the shore from each of the bedrooms, which was a fabulous way to go to sleep and wake up every day. There are rocks right in front of the house, but sandy entry into the water just a short walk down the beach. VERY private, quiet location. Max and Leo were fabulous! House does show signs of aging, but doesn't take away from its appeal/charm! Would definitely stay here again!

Great Location

The home is in a great location. Very save in a gated area. Very few people on the beach. BUT... the week we were there, the beach was too rough to be able to enter the water at all. There is a lava ledge (very cool for looking for shells and critters) that makes it too dangerous to swim. I was hopeful that we would not need to leave the house to swim and snorkel. Also, the 5th bedroom (we intentionally looked for a home with 5 bedrooms for our 4 teenagers) is in a bungalow across the property with no wifi. So I feel like that was misleading. Overall, we loved the home and would likely stay there again, just with a different expectation of what the property was. We knew it was dated, given the reviews we read, but the unswimmable beach and 5th bedroom across the property was a surprise. Max was awesome and super helpful before and during our stay!

Family Vacation Paradise

We stayed at La Mission for a week in December 2023. There were 9 of us. My parents and my aunt are in their 70s; my daughter, my two nieces and my nephew are 19-23; and my husband and myself. The property and the house are beautiful. We especially enjoyed the pool which has a sloped walk in, perfect for my parents and little kids who want to splash around. The house is lovely with a big living room/dining area. The rooms are a decent size (like a hotel room) except for the master suite which is very large. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses and silverware, and a nice big fridge. The stove top and oven are great and work very well. There is also a brand new gas BBQ outside that we used several times. Our biggest issue was the shower/bath tubs. Every room was the same with a VERY high tub to step into. My dad fell getting out of it on our last day, but even the kids complained about it and one of them slipped getting out but didn't fall. The one major surprise was that the fifth bedroom was actually a separate bungalow just in front of the main house. It wasn't a problem but it would have been good to have this mentioned in the Vrbo description. The bungalow itself was very nice and even had a mini fridge. The beach is very private, we saw a few people walking but not many at all. The surf was rough with a strong undertow which was wonderful to watch and listen to but not suitable at all for swimming in the ocean.

Thanksgiving Family Vacation

The villa sits on a beautiful beach with amazing scenery and the family room is perfect for family to gather. The concierge, Leo was just awesome and helped us quite a bit. The selling feature of this home is the proximity to the beach. If you are looking for a modern home with all of those type of conveniences, this would not be the home for you. If you have any type of physical issues, the bathrooms could be a problem. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is fantastic, but you have to really step into the tub to take a shower, which could prove to be difficult for some. Three of the 4 bedrooms can only be accessed from the outside, which wasn't a problem for any of us, but if you are looking for all bedrooms to be under one roof this home doesn't offer that. All in all, we rate this property high and we would probably try to stay there again. The host Stephanie was very helpful.

Perfect Getaway

We’ve rented multiple villas for our family vacation and La Mission is one of the most memorable. The house was so private and relaxing. The view was so picturesque. Loved the pool being a few steps away from the house and beach. Leonard and Gilles made us feel so welcomed. They’ve become our friends and we’ll hopefully meet again.
