3 bedroom cottage located at the top of the incline from the lake. Scenic views from the dining area and deck. 3 bedrooms, one with 2 double beds, one with double bed, and a master bedroom with queen size bed and vanity/sink.

the scenic Adirondack Mountains, 4 clean/well-maintained cottages and a Lake House make
Journey's End a perfect vacation choice. 1-mile south of picturesque Long Lake hamlet.
4 fully furnished cottages with 1-, 2- and 3-bedrooms and a 2-story house that sleeps 8, all overlooking the lake amidst towering hemlock trees.

Each residence offers many amenities including: Fully equipped updated kitchens; Newly renovated bathrooms; Flat screen color TVs, Dish TV Network, Free High-Speed WI-FI Internet Access; Heaters and ceiling fans; Bed linens and towels provided; Canoe, kayaks and paddle boards; 2 docks. There is no laundry facility on the property.

House includes large stone fireplace, radiant floor heat, and enclosed porch. All units have private porches overlooking the lake; Grills and picnic tables.

We are pet-friendly and require a 100 dollars deposit per pet. Exquisite sunsets and star gazing add to the tranquility of this perfect mountain retreat.

Wonderful place to stay, only negative is cabin desperately needs new seating in living area.

Journeys End is a convenient place to stay. Easy to get our kayaks to the lake side and launch. Very friendly and quiet. You just feel at home at the lake when there.

Excellent place to stay in Long Lake!!!

Journeyā€™s End is very well-maintained, convenient, organized, and simply a beautiful location, to name a few things we loved. We stayed in the Vista cottage and it was perfect for our group, and had everything you needed from sleeping to cooking essentials. The propertyā€™s availability of kayaks, paddle boards, etc were a big plus, especially for my kids. It is also pet friendly so we were glad we could bring our dog along. Owners (Janie and Robert) are also easy to reach if you need anything!

Wonderful stay - wish it was warmer.

Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Being able to be on the lakes was great! We had fun hiking Mt. Goodnow and Castle Rock. We also enjoyed white water rafting. Rail bikes might also be fun.

We truly enjoyed our relaxing stay! The cabin was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. Being pet-friendly was definitely a highlight. The dock and lake provided a perfect, peaceful spot to soak up the warm September days and enjoy the beautiful fall sunsets. The owners were friendly, available, and attentive to our needs.A little unexpected surprise was discovering there were multiple rental properties around, which made us realize it's not as secluded as we initially thought. But it didnā€™t spoil our experience, and we still had a wonderful time. One small thing to note is that the cabin is near the main road into Long Lake. While you canā€™t hear the traffic from inside, you might notice it if you're outside at the fire pit. Luckily, thereā€™s another fire pit down by the lake that offers a quieter spot.Would stay at this property again.

It was ok. Vista cabin too close to the highway and had road noise 24hrs/day. Clean but small.

Cabin was clean but small...especially for a 3 bdrm. No exhaust fan over stove top which set the smoke alarm off anytime cooking. 2 bedrooms good size, 3rd was just able to squeeze a bed into. Table to eat at was jammed into a corner and had to be moved out to center of room to seat more than 3 people. Beach area was nice but due to low water lake level docking boat was difficult. Grounds were well kept. Other cabin renters were pleasant and engaging. Road noise for Vista cabin was/is an issue.

Beautiful cottages on beautiful lake

The cottage was very nice, right on the lake, very nice people stayed there while we were there, the cottage was clean and very accessible. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

We had a WONDERFUL family get away!

The accommodations were so cozy. We loved being right on the water with the paddleboard and kayaks available. The cabin was so clean and provided everything we needed! Janie was a EXCELLENT host and so accommodating and VERY available. We love our stay so much and plan to come back!

The stay was wonderful! The owners were super accommodating and very quick to respond to requests and needs. We brought our dogs with us and the owners got to meet them. They seem to love having dogs around! Canā€™t wait to stay again in a few months!

What a restful, easy going and fun week we had!!

We love Long Lake, the cabins were clean, well maintained and met all our needs. Our shower broke and we called-the caretakers were there within an hour and had if all fixed in no time! We had a place to put our kayaks and were also able to host some friends with no problems. Really great week!!

Adirondack Camp

This is a small, 3-bedroom, older Adirondack camp. Lake access within about 20 yards. There really isn't a view from the camp unless you sit against the wall in the small kitchenette seating area, and that is blocked by another campsite and trees. Not a big deal, you can walk to the water in 1-minute. It smells musty, just like you'd expect an older camp to be, and had a few bugs/flying insects inside... it's a camp afterall. Easy access from parking within a few feet in front of the front door. The camp was clean and simple. I didn't realize there would not be coffee or coffee filters, so plan accordingly. No toiletries provided (soap/shampoo). It's like going back to my childhood and visiting the Adirondacks. Gas station about 1 mile away has coffee and such, there is a General Store that has everything you need about a mile away (near the gas station) but they don't have brewed coffee. The only surprise I had was the addition $100 fee charged for my ADA compliant and trained service dog which is a violation of federal law. I had VRBO contact the host regarding this issue, but there was no reply according to VRBO. If you have an ADA compliant service animal, challenge the host and site federal law accordingly. They can charge for damages, but cannot charge an additional cleaning fee. I will submit another formal request for refund of this fee via VRBO. Otherwise, the host was great. I think this was just a mis-communication between us even though I put it in writing.

Whether youā€™re interested in biking, canoeing, kayaking and fishing ā€“ or shopping, dining and theater ā€“ youā€™ll find local attractions and plentiful nearby day-trips. Historic nearby Long Lake hamlet offers dining, shopping, groceries and supplies, a public library, and custard stands.The Long Lake beach offers swimming and diving, with life guards during the summer. A weekly open-air market showcases local farmers and artisans. 2 general stores sell fresh food and fishing supplies, along with maps and guidebooks.

Also nearby are a nature interpretive center, the Adirondack Experience/Museum, The Wild Center, and historic estates or ā€œgreat camps.ā€ Boat and airplane rides provide in-depth tours of local lakes and historic lure. Just down the road, the Mt. Sabattis Recreation area offers several lighted tennis courts, fitness trails, and basketball courts. The Pavilion there hosts various events, including Art and Antique shows, outdoor Band Concerts, and various craft shows. Guests regularly spot both loons and eagles directly in front of their cottages.
