We had a great weekend getaway from NC! This house was so conveniently located, well-equipped, and perfect for a home base for outdoor walks & hikes and amazing restaurants in the area. We had a wonderful time.

Blue Ridge Cottage

This property is perfectly located to visit the wineries and breweries along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Then you can hit all of the antique shops in the surrounding area. The kitchen is well-appointed. The furniture is comfortable, especially the downstairs bed! I highly recommend this property.

Weekend Getaway

The property was very clean, very well appointed with linens, laundry detergent, shampoo, etc. The house was adorable. The front porch and back porch were so nice to spend the mornings and evenings on. Overall a wonderful place to stay. The property was not as walkable to downtown as I had envisioned but a very nice house overall.

Stellar Stay in Staunton!

This charmer of a home was the perfect place to stay for a visit to the wineries and breweries in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The house was immaculate and very well-appointed. The kitchen is spacious with every needed utensil and cookware. The bed was very comfortable with pillows I'd like to have in my own home. The location is easy to access and close to restaurants and shopping. The owner was very responsive. I look forward to staying here again!

Great stay to visit family

We enjoyed our stay to visit family in the area. The house was so clean and very well stocked (even including cookie sheets and cooling rack so cookies could be made by grandma for the family). We did have an unavoidable plumbing emergency and the owner was very prompt in responding back and getting a plumber on site. Thank you for having plenty of paper supplies, cleaning supplies, coffee filters, various spices etc to save us from buying everything. If/when we make it back to the area, we will be looking to see if your house is free.

Overall the place was fine. It was a very simple no frills house. It had one bedroom downstairs and a loft sleeping area. Had to call to get the key code after I arrived as that had not been sent. It would have been nice to have a local bottle of wine instead of a California wine.

From the Owner: - I send out a welcome email before guests arrive with some details to help them check-in. I reference that they should use the code Evolve sent them to get in, which is always fine. The guest called me using the contact number I provided and was able to get in the house. - We set out a free bottle of wine, chocolate, and tea for guests. We are sorry it was not to your satisfaction, but we do provide the extra gesture for our guests. - Our guests have commented how nice, comfortable, and well-stocked the house is, and those are our goals. We wanted a tidy and no-clutter feel and guests have appreciated it.

Basics covered

The house is fine and has what you need. The beds and linens are comfortable and it was very clean. The stairs are very steep and narrow so not suitable for anyone with any mobility issues. The kitchen has what you need and they did have some basic spices and a bottle of wine for guests. The electric kettle was a nice touch. During our stay there were some wear and tear maintenance issues that should be addressed such as several broken chairs and the shower has several holes in the wall.

Lovely stay!

Everything was great and thanks for the checkin drinks :) nice location including close to an overlook with a view. Even had a neighbor cat visit on the porch for a bit.

Easy check-in with door code - parking behind the house - perfectly clean - well-equipped kitchen - comfortable beds. Great for our short vacation in the Staunton area.

My sisters and I traveled to Staunton to visit my daughter, (MBU student) for the weekend. We originally planned to stay in a hotel, but found the Betsy Bell listing by chance. It is a small house, but perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed the conveniences of the home that we never could have enjoyed in a hotel. We all had our own bed, a sitting room, and were able to cook our own meals and enjoy them around a table. It was perfect! The check in process was seamless and our contact, Todd, accommodated us every step of the way. We plan on another trip and will definitely stay at the same property. Thank you!!!
