Barbados in the Tropics is situated in the Sands Estate, a secure and exclusive gated community in Port Douglas. Only a five-minute walk to the iconic Four Mile Beach and a short drive to the main part of town & marina, restaurants, cafes, and shops.

This luxurious home consists of 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 living areas each with TV, and plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

The house caters to couples and families and can also accommodate two families while still allowing plenty of room to move.

Downstairs the generous sized master bedroom has its own TV, a walk in robe and an expansive ensuite including a spa bath.

Two of the large bedrooms (one upstairs, one down) have double queen beds, each with an ensuite, while the other two upstairs rooms are also well sized, with King beds and share a 'Jack & Jill' bathroom.

The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances and plenty of bench space. An outdoor gazebo houses top-of-the-range barbeque equipment and is situated next to the pool, the cooking options are perfect for accommodating both large and small groups.

The laundry is complete with a washing machine and dryer.

An extra large driveway provides plenty of parking.

Loads of space and clean. We loved spending hours in the pool each day and a super quick walk to the beach each night for a sunset stroll.

Family Holiday

A big spacious house. A great pool but the water was a bit cold in July.

Amazing property, great holiday.

We were 2 families with teenagers and young adults. The layout suited 10 guests perfectly and we were able to spend a lot of time at the property using the facilities especially the pool. The location was handy with great local transport and a great place to base ourselves for our day trips and trips to town . The property was well equipped with everything you needed and was very luxurious. The property manager was easy to deal with and we definitely would recommend and stay there again . Thanks for sharing it with us .

Fabulous all round

We were 12 females celebrating a friends 50th birthday. The house was absolutely perfect in everyway for us. The size of every bedroom was so impressive and the many sitting rooms and outdoor areas were a bonus for some quiet time. I would say that the photos of the house don't do it justice and we were much more impressed with the appearance and layout once we arrived. Would most definitely recommend this house

Nice spacious property

Really nice and spacious property, very close to Port Douglas town centre and 4 Mile beach. We had some maintenance issues such as moss in the pool area and missing drain blockers for jacuzzi tub etc, which should have been checked and addressed before check-in. We also had an unfortunate water leak during our stay. That said, management was very responsive to address them. My only main disappointment was with regards to the toiletries, as no shower/bath gel was provided and only small 30 ml bottles of shampoo and conditioner were provided 1 per bathrooms which is not enough for a family size of 12, so we ended up buying our own. Otherwise all in all it was a good stay. Management team was very responsive and accommodating.

Fabulous family getaway

This was a very much needed family reunion post covid . Eleven of us flew in from to Cairns including great grandparents , grandparents , adult children and great grandchildren ( 11 in total ). The house was spacious , and suited our family perfectly . The pool is large and provided hours of fun . The kitchen is well equipped and there are both inside and outside dinning area’s . It is wheelchair friendly which was a bonus . My um walks with a zimmer and she was able to mobilize and not miss out on the fun . The bedroom layout gave privacy required , with several having en-suites The house is two or three minutes walk from Four Mile Beach and approx 40 minute walk along gorgeous tropical coast line into Port Douglas . The house was luxurious . The photos really do not do it justice . We were all sad to leave and would definitely visit again and recommend to others.
