Vermont stay
It was a lovely home to relax in during the evenings. It was a cozy space with plenty of blankets to cuddle up with. We didn't get much time outside due to the weather but appreciated the area. Close enough to drive to town but removed enough to feel undisturbed.

Thank you so much Lori! I am so happy you were pleased and comfortable. That makes me very happy and I hope you can come again. Warmly, Sheila.
Great host personality. Smell of layers of baked on bacon grease in the oven was always noticeable. Otherwise clean. In a very cold, snowy December, the programmed radiant heat could not keep up. A shovel was available for us. When we contacted host, she always was apologetic.
Really enjoyed my stay in West Danville at a beautiful cabin with a nice open kitchen and dining area. Loved the large deck and the peaceful location for a few days around the July 4th holiday. At night, the porch was great for stargazing and it was amazing to see lots of fire flies.Easy check in/out and had everything I needed for a carefree stay.
Me and my Golden Retriever had an enjoyable stay at this cozy cabin. The property owner was very responsive and accommodating. I do plan to return in the future.
The host was wonderful and very supportive during our stay however there were a few things my party felt should have been disclosed before or upon booking that may have had a larger impact on others than it did for us. The cabin while advertised as private, is only the upper floor and loft while the host remains on the premises in the lower floor during your stay. While this may not be a big deal for some parties, I would have liked to have known in advance. The appliances were not quite in working condition and there was a quite prevalent ladybug infestation within the cabin. The ladybugs were throughout the entirety of the cabin including kitchen, bedrooms, living spaces and especially on windows. Overall the trip was nice but these aspects of the house detracted from the complete experience.
Great stay. Cute cabin. Closer to the road than expected.

From the owner: "I’m very glad you were happy with the cabin I am sorry you were disappointed in the distance from the road. It’s over a hundred feet with trees in between. More would be nice. Thank you for staying at the cabin."
Such a beautiful spot in Vermont. We had everything we needed and wanted in this beautiful spot.
A warm and lovely home in a beautiful part of Vermont. Thank you

From the Owner: "Thank you very much, Peggy. I do try to make sure everybody has what they need or at least. Let me know what they need. Hope you can come again! warmly, Sheila."
Sheila was an absolutely amazing host. She was so kind, empathetic and caring. Very easy to get ahold of if anything was needed or if we had any questions. The.Cabin.Was. BEAUTIFUL! When you enter in, light filters in from the many windows, and the unique and personal touches from the pictures to the decorations made the cabin feel so cozy. There are multiple places to relax be it the sofa, the lazyboy or the comforrable chair at the top of the steps. You get a beautiful view from so many angles of the cabin its amazing. Cabin has wonderful soundproofing and you can feel like you really relax. Me and my partner enjoyed watching the birds outside and waking up to the view of beautiful snow dusted trees. Ample kitchen space to make meals and the pans and pots Shiela provides are high quality. Extra blankets and heaters are provided in case of those cold nights. Shiela also gave us great recommendations to check out around town. Overrall, we had an amazing trip and would love to visit again. Thank you Shiela!!

Thank you Meghan! I am so happy you enjoyed the cabin. That is exactly my goal for guests to have a great experience. Warmly, Sheila
This was a clean and cozy cabin less than a mile from the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail and a 6-minute drive from Joe’s Pond. We loved the wrap around porch and that it was dog-friendly. Sheila, who lives on the ground floor of the cabin, was very communicative and made sure everything was to our liking. Set just off VT-15 in a scenic village. Easy ride into Danville or Hardwick for groceries or restaurants. Great spot for day trips to St. Johnsbury and Dog Mountain, Willoughby Forest, and Stowe-Waterbury. We especially enjoyed having Top of the Heights maple creamed stand just down the road!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was convenient and the property was very nicely done and kept up. We appreciated all the amenities provided from toiletries to puzzles for our daughter. It was great that it was dog friendly as well. We would definitely stay again!
The host made us and our doggos feel very welcome. The house was cozy and comfortable. We had a lovely time.

Hi Nicole, thank you for taking the time to leave your review. The homeowner has asked us to pass along the following message: "I’m so happy you had a great time. I really like my guests to feel right at home!"
It was a perfect setting for our electronics-free family retreat on our way back from Montreal hockey tournaments. Very easy check-in and very comfortable accommodations - just as described.
We had a wonderful extended weekend stay while we were up in the area for our annual family reunion! The cabin was so clean and cozy, and our dog was even quite comfortable staying in a strange place! Wish we had more time to stay and enjoy it! We will definitely revisit in the future and have already recommended the cabin to other family members!

The cabin is beautiful, cozy and well equipped with everything you’ll need for your getaway. The kids were never bored and really enjoyed hanging out in the loft, since there was a ton of snow outside. There’s a beautiful little town under 30mins away! We fully recommend this home for an any-season vacation.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. There was plenty of room in a very homey atmosphere. It was close enough for us to visit our son and family at their farm in Barnet and they were able to come over for dinner. The home had everything we needed. We loved sitting out on the big wrap around porch. We will definitely be back in the future! Host was available to answer any questions.
