Salmon River Condo #5 - Meredith Lodging

The Salmon River Condo is a bright and sunny condo along the Salmon River creating a quiet, private setting. This comfortable home with riverfront and golf course views offers easy access to all mountain recreation and activities at a great value. If you are active and like to explore all day, this is the perfect place for you to make your base camp. You will have all of the comforts of home including streaming TV and wifi.

This spacious 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo feels more like a cabin with wood floors, rock fireplace and cedar accents. The breezes flowing through the river-viewing back deck are comfortable for reading a book or enjoying a glass of wine. Or you can take a walk along the path that parallels the Salmon River just steps from the condo.

The fully equipped kitchen is set up to prepare a full meal that you can enjoy at the dining table or on the deck. Or grill dinner on the gas BBQ and make it a picnic on the riverside picnic table. Sip a glass of wine at the riverside picnic table and watch the birds soaring overhead. During the evenings, you will want to cozy up in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace. This quiet setting will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated after your Mt Hood vacation. Your dog is welcome to join you at the Salmon River Condo for an additional charge.

Great comfortable place with all the amenities, 35 minutes to Mt Meadows ski lodge.

Comfortable place and nice details including the fire place setup ready. Instructions should be more summarized in the chat when the reservation begins. Sometimes it’s hard to look for details in the website. 5 stars to this place.

Wrong code to enter. Had to call and get new code. The pool and trash codes didn't work. Had to get code from manager and he said to just use his code for pool. Internet did not work. Had to reboot the modem every day. Called to tell them twice and they never did anything about it . Unit was very dated and the Arcadia door locked with a stick and you could hardly open it . Really needs to be updated. The best thing was the location. Thank you.

What a let down.

We paid for three nights but didn't stay one night. The code given to us did not work, and yes, we followed the instructions. When we sent a text to the support number, they could only tell us the same instructions from the email. They told us that each lock was different, so they could only give us basic information. That was not helpful! We found a number for the "onsight" manager, and he gave us a code that allowed us to get inside. Once inside, we found the condo to be almost 80º, and the AC compressor was paused and still had an hour before it would come on. The pictures give the impression this property opens up to the creek. It does not. The complex is along the creek, but this property is not. It's also a smoker's paradise. They even supply the ashtrays. I haven't seen an ashtray since the 90's. If you've been around smokers, you know that smell does not come out of fabric easily. So, you guessed it, the bed smelled like cigarette smoke. For these reasons and more, we didn't even unpack. We loaded up the car and drove home. This was supposed to be our summer blowout, but was a summer bust. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

My boyfriend & I had such a wonderful time, so relaxing & peaceful. There was no snow as we hoped for, but we still had a great time. Best part was we were granted a late checkout; we dropped the key off at 3:30, but we could've stayed longer; the office staff was so laid back & told us to take our time & glad we enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely make this a yearly visit, if not more. :)

Property was well maintained outside, convenient, unit generally very clean, older appearing furniture seeming a bit dated but very comfortable, comfortable bed. Kitchen well equipped and easy to cook in. Good layout and size of unit, particularly for a couple or maybe +1( bedroom has king and single bed.) Not sure fireplace wood completely dry as did not burn particularly well but both kindling and fire started cubes provided which was appreciated. Partial view of river through greenery to one side of condo with other views across green & bushes/ trees to other units. Close to a walking path to river so some people walking dogs and could look into unit so not completely private but easy to close or partially close blinds if privacy preferred. Easy drive up to Timberline and nearby walks and hikes. Different restaurant possibilities ( ate at Rendevous, coffee shop across their parking lot friendly/good coffee) Overall comfortable unit that provided the desired peace and quiet desired along with convenience of amenities and access to activities.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway, March 2017

The property was clean and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. We managed to visit the Salmon river trail down the road and highly recommend it. The proximity to mount hood slopes makes this an ideal base for the skiing and snowshoeing enthusiasts. Kayla recommended us to visit the White river Canyon for snowshoeing and we are glad we listened to her! We hope to be back again.

Winter Wonderland Experience over New Year's

It was clean, great amenities, and beautiful view of the river, mountains. Plenty of wood for the fire and just a mile up the road from the main street and grocery. We even got 2 feet of snow to enjoy - but recommend having a snow shovel handy to dig clear a path for the car. ;-)

Otherwise very comfortable and nice feeling in the condo. Glad that the condo person contacted us day of our stay to make sure we had directions. Would prefer to just have a lock box on condo and go straight to unit not have to find two places. Folks should know that it is prohibited to go in the creek. I think that is not up to the condo to control or limt but rather just state creek use is not under oversight of condo and go at your own risk.

Had a hard time finding blankets and the sheets for the fold out bed. But, the whole experience was clouded by the "nosy" neighbors who seemed to be watching our every move. They called us at least 5 times to tell us where and where not our car should be parked and what was the strange car(my son came to visit for the afternoon). They even called your office. If parking was crowded, no spaces I could understand but really! Why can't the spaces be labeled with the number of the condo!

It was clean, comfortable and the two full baths were ideal. It was snowing the entire time we were there, but the location was just down the street from the grocery store with easy Hwy 26 access. Definitely coming back!

Perfect location for a beautiful outdoor adventure!

With 2 dogs it was very convenient to have the big, open lot to romp in right out our back door. Having the river right there was beautiful as well. There are so many of the best trailheads for our favorite hikes within 5 - 20 minutes of our place. Everything was so easy, and convenient and beautiful. The grocery store is 5 mins away with a good selection. And Fay is an Oregon State Treasure! She was incredibly warm, friendly, and customer-oriented. Her support in finding us such a great place at the last minute, and guiding us to some great hikes, was tremendously helpful. Thank you! We'l be back
