We built this home in 2001 and it has been a permanent rental for all of this period and our tenants always spoke warmly of the time they resided here. Recently we decided it was time for a change and now offer accommodation for both short or longer stays.
We offer a tidy home in a quiet location and are walking distance to the main street - Parker Street.
Fully equipped kitchen with large recycled timber breakfast bar adjoining relaxed family room, leading out to secure backyard. Separate formal dining and lounge area. Main bedroom has ensuite and the main bathroom is spacious and includes a deep vintage bath for relaxing. All bedrooms have built in robes , main bedroom has walk-in-robe. Back verandah has large gas BBQ. Large laundry will also be appreciated by those choosing longer stays and gas heating for our chilly Coota winter nights. Ducted air conditioning for the warmer months.
Cootamundra is a picturesque rural town and home to the Wiradjuri people, the Traditional Custodians of this area.
A snap shot of what Cootamundra, surrounding villages and towns have to offer include:
* A visit to Sir Donald Bradman's Birthplace.
* View the iconic Captain's Walk at Jubilee Park.
* Experience nature - great bushwalking and birdwatching opportunities exist, in particular at Pioneer Park, which is on the southern limit of the town and the nearby Jindalee National Park, which, during late winter and early autumn, lights up with the magnificent blooms of the Cootamundra Wattle (made famous by John Williamson's song of the same name) Cootamundra is located within a Key Biodiversity Area (KBA) and as such has a great variety of native bird species as well as a good chance to spot a wallaby, an echidna or perhaps a goanna.
* Cycling - the local mountain bike park offers 8km of single track and Jindalee National park also has excellent mountain bike riding trails. Quiet local roads are perfect for those preferring the bitumen. My husband and I enjoy both road and mtb riding and can assist if you require any further information.
* An excellent 18 hole golf course.
* A 25m heated indoor pool.
* Wonderful coffee shops and cafes, and a good selection of restaurants and hotels for great meals.
*Antique and vintage stores to browse.
* Explore and discover our historic buildings , many which are Heritage listed.
* Take a short day trips to nearby towns and villages to enjoy-
