This is an adorable property! The home is a mid-century bungalow with all the modern conveniences and 20th century charm. It's been decorated with great care to give a very cozy and eclectic feel. Everything was clean and in excellent condition. Location is great, within a cute neighborhood and very close to downtown. Host was kind and communicative. Thank you for hosting us for our mini-trip to Raleigh! I hope we can visit again soon.
Such a great experience! The host was super nice and easy to communicate with. The house was very clean, super cozy, and had everything we needed for our stay.
We really can’t say enough how much we liked this house. Clean, great location to drive into the city, fun house to stay in. The host was prompt, generous and helpful. Would love to book it again in the future.

Quirky but fun & fabulous Mordecai cottage
Immaculately clean, refurbished, and well stocked 2-BR bungalow in a great location in the Mordecai area of downtown. You’re a short walk away from one of Raleigh’s best coffee shops (The Optimist) and a 3-minute drive to one of its most iconic spots - Krispy Kreme Donuts on the corner of Peace and Person Streets. I’d definitely stay here again if the need ever arises. The only cautionary note is that the staircase to/from the upstairs (primary) bedroom is VERY steep. I do not recommend this for elderly guests or young children for that reason.Otherwise, this is a winner!
One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. It’s obvious they take a lot of pride in their property and go the extra mile to with little details that make the visit special. Quiet neighborhood and close to everything. It will be our go to when we’re in Raleigh visiting family. Can’t say enough about this place. I wish everywhere we stayed was a great as this is.
Overall, Trippe was amazing. The only complaint we had. The bed was kind of hard other than everything is exceptional.

Hi Debra, thanks for taking the time to review your stay. The safety and well-being of our guests are our utmost priorities, and we deeply regret any discomfort or inconvenience experienced during your time with us. After reviewing your comments, the homeowner wished to address the following:- We're sincerely sorry to hear about your daughter's fall, and we hope she's doing well. We take safety concerns very seriously, and we want to clarify that the listing explicitly mentions that the stairs are steep and not childproofed. This information is provided to ensure that guests are fully aware before booking their stay. - Regarding the towel rack issue, we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We wish you had reached out to us during your stay so that we could have promptly addressed the problem. Rest assured, the towel rack has been repaired since your departure. Once again, we apologize for any discomfort or inconvenience experienced during your stay. Your feedback is valuable to us as we continue to improve for all our guests.

Excellent host
The owner was readily available, responsive and respectful when we had questions. The interior of the house is thoughtfully decorated. The owner had granola bars and drinks in the fridge for guests.
