Great place!

The house was great, had everything we needed for our month stay. Loved the neighborhood for walking! Close drive to Lake Sumpter and Spanish Springs.

This house was perfect for the week stay.

The house property was clean and was well suited for our needs. We gathered one day with our Florida relatives, which was great. Will definitely use VRBO again, with a location closer to Sanibel where my cousins live.

Welcome to clutter

House itself is beautiful and comfortable. Unfortunately, the pics advertised are misleading. This place is a cluttered mess. Owner needs to have a dumpster dropped off and fill it with there outdated junk they are storing.

Cluttered Worn and Weary

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was in a great location in a quiet cul de sac. But, Refrigerator leaked water which damaged and grew mold on the cabinet next to the refrigerator. One can light flashed continually and needed to be replaced in the kitchen. Who needs ALL that out dated electronics? Much less the JUMBLED Mess of cables and wirings that the cleaning service overlooks and leaves the black dust bunnies to multiply. The master bedroom has a definite dorm room feel to it with its mismatched dressers, and rolled up clutter of magazines that are over 10 years old.(another dust collector BTW). Bed coverings and pillows are thin and worn out. Of all the things on my list submitted to the management company that was needing attention in the home, only one thing was handled. And that was the request for additional blankets and sheets. The kitchenware should be updated. (burnt nasty baking sheet pans, flimsy silverware, and tired dishes etc). The garage was cluttered with a plethora of stuff and golf gear. And the home knick knacks and decor is dated and cluttered the home. These personnel belongings (in office, and office closet and stuffed under beds) makes one feel like they are living in someone else's home. A little attention to what makes a "home away from home" feel like a home is definitely needed here.

Not so good

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had serious maintenance issues. The garage screen came down because the rental company put a lock box on the garage door. We were unable to leave with our car stuck in the garage. Leak under the fridge. Pool was too cold to use even though solar heating. Burnt out lightbulbs and dirty around the base of the toilet.

Perfect home away from home

The house was super clean and very spacious. Comfortable King bed and perfect home office set up. Pool was very clean, lawn well maintained. We loved the putting green on the lanai as well as the screen used to practice our drives. Had one maintenance issue and the company came right out to fix it. Loved the place and will rent again. I only have one suggestion and that is to get rid of some of the "stuff" in the cupboards. There was no room to put any our items. Thank you!

Perfect Vacation Homr

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was perfect. It was spotless. It had everything and anything you needed for your everyday life. You needed wine glasses, they were there, you needed scotch tape, that was there also. The pool was crystal clear, and that was the great part of this rental, to be able to enjoy your vacation time relaxing.. You wanted entertainment just a 5 minute drive to either square for free entertainment. If you wanted to eat out, plenty of restaurants nearby, and the prices are great, The property management representative was always readily available if you needed her., she answered all my questions from start of the booking to the end. You will not be sorry if you rent this beautiful home for your vacation !

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: OK location. House was alright. Pool was great at first, but no one came to clean it over a 3 week period. There is so much STUFF in the kitchen closets (pots, pans, bake ware around 40 wine glasses, duplicates of everything that you may never need) that there is nowhere to put your food. There were other reviews that said the same thing. I thought they were exaggerated, but not so. I suppose most people go out to dinner all the time, but in the waning hours of covid we ate in most of the time. The bed in the master bedroom had a very thick foam topper on it. It made the bed so high and so hard to get into it was a joke, not a funny one. The middle bedroom had a Flintstone's bed. The "dining room furniture" chairs especially look like they were from a doll house and may not hold us.(2 little kids 3 adults, none over 220) The pool was the biggest draw to influence our selection of the property but even that went south from lack of cleaning. It is not always location, location, location. It needs some updating before I would recommend it.

Do not rent this house

Family and Relaxation

We had a great time for us was close to Family and friends and rented a golf cart to toodle around, loved that. The place was great just a few things, it has a lot of stuff, need to declutter some, staying a month not good when all the cupboards are full of stuff nowhere to put food but on the counters. A couple friends came to see us and stayed the last couple nights, the office has a daybed but closet was locked so nowhere for anyone to put clothes in that room. Otherwise a good place to stay.

Access to the pool was certainly an added feature. The location in the north end of the Villages is relatively quiet with easy access to a shopping center and golf courses by golf cart. Friendly neighbors and pleasant walks in the neighbourhood added to an enjoyable experience.

A good place to spend the winter

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for the months of a January & February. The house is very cute, nicely updated with huge granite countertops & nice stainsteel appliances. Plenty of room for two people. The location is very convenient with easy access to multiple Publix grocery stores & a couple of Walmart stores. It is also just a short drive to the free entertainment at the town squares. There are enough activities of all sorts to keep you plenty busy. Down Home Properties was wonderful to deal with. They responded very quickly to any issues that we had. However, there are some negatives. There is no cable or satellite TV service so you are completely dependent on the very limited offerings on broadcast TV. Also, many times we were watching a program and the picture would break up & become unwatchable. There is a very nice, large completely caged in pool and patio area, but there is absolutely no privacy. You are in plain view of everybody up & down the block. Some bushes or screening of some sort would help a lot. There is the same problem inside the house. There are no vertical blinds or drapes to cover the large patio doors so when the lights are on at night, the whole living/dining area is in full view.

We would definitely do this again - right down to renting this same home. Thank you !!
