Glucklich Haus in Dunedin. 3/2, FREE golf, 4-seat cart, RESIDENT passes, pets.

Welcome to Glucklich Haus. This well-cared for villa home located in the Village of Dunedin offers peace and relaxation while only a short golf car drive to nightly entertainment at Brownwood Square. This house is just 55 minutes to theme parks and children are welcome. Rentals are 7-nights or longer with a few exceptions, and discounts are provided for stays of 28+ nights. The home comes with a 4-seat golf car and 2 Resident IDs which you will need for golf reservations (more below about Resident IDs versus Guest Passes).

The house:
Well-decorated and maintained, this single story home (no stairs) has luxury vinyl flooring, quartz countertops and cordless window shutters throughout, and remote controlled shades on sliding glass doors. Amenities include stainless steel appliances, Keurig coffee maker (and backup large pot coffee maker), Instant Pot, blender, mixer, baking utensils, an ample supply of high quality dishes, silverware, glasses, wine glasses, and cookware, and a gas BBQ grill (propane provided). Starter coffee and tea are provided, along with sugar/sweetener and creamers. All linens are provided including sheets, comforters, bath towels, and beach towels for days at the pool or beach. There are also camp chairs for use at the town squares or to take to the beach. This home can also be supplied with a portable crib/playpen, high chair and infant swing if requested in advance (no additional charge, but a first come, first served basis).

The primary bedroom has a king-size bed, walk-in closet and a walk-in shower in the primary bath. The guest room is a queen-size bed. The third bedroom has a sofa couch that pulls out to a double bed. This is also the office with a desk, printer, and office supplies (pens, pencils, clips, etc.) The washer and dryer are located in the garage. The second bathroom has a tub/shower.

In addition to the living and dining area (sits 6), the home has a screened porch in back and is enclosed with a brick wall and tall privacy fences. Great for pets. A table with seating for 4 is on the patio. There are 4 Adirondack chairs and 2 lounges in the back. There is a single car garage (also where the golf car resides). It is fine to keep the golf car parked outside, just take the key out if you do.

Technology:
The house has AT&T Quantum Fiber wi-fi (over 800 Mbps download speed) and three smart TVs (living room, primary bedroom, and one on wheels that can moved between the other bedrooms/office). Feel free to sign on to all your favorite apps, and sign out before you leave. YouTube TV is great for local channels and can be purchased on a month to month basis.

The house has central air and heat. You control the temperature from the thermostat inside the house.

In addition to the remote control for the garage, there is white gate card that allows easier access to gated areas in The Villages. This card works on all gates.
For getting around The Villages (by car or golf car) we recommend downloading The Villages app. It has a very good navigation system, particularly for navigating the multi-modal paths, tunnels, and bridges. If you do not download it prior to arrival, there is an easy QR code to scan in the Welcome Book located in the entry hall in the house.
 
The golf car:
A Yamaha gas golf car, 4-seater with USB phone chargers, is included with the rental - a value of over $200 per week. The back seat also drops down to allow for easy grocery transport when not strapping in golf clubs. NOTE: This cart is equipped with four seatbelts – two each in front and back. Florida state law requires all riders under the age of 18 to be using a seat belt. Keys to the cart, plus the remote for the garage and the gate card will be on table in the entry hallway when you arrive, next to the book about the house.

The cart takes Rec 90 gas, available at several gas stations and at The Villages Golf Cars in the town squares. Please refill the tank before you leave. You can go a long way on a single tank of gas. Also, if you want to stay entirely in The Villages, you will not need a car. The golf car can take you to all golf courses, pools, rec centers, restaurants, grocery stores, shops, banks, and even the freestanding emergency room across from Brownwood. Anything within The Villages property. There is an hourly shuttle, 24/7, to and from Orlando International Airport offered by Groome Transportation. There is also a shuttle to Tampa International Airport, but check on the frequency.

If anything happens to the golf car, just call or text me and we will bring you another 4-seat golf car (to wherever you are) and take the one that needs fixed. We use The Villages Golf Cars exclusively for maintenance and repair, but the owner of the cart must call.

Resident IDs and Guest Passes:
There are two kinds of “IDs”: Resident IDs and Guest Passes. The rental fee includes two Resident IDs, a $50 value. Basically, we bequeath our passes for this house to you, for the duration of your stay. NOTE: Resident passes allow you full privileges of a Villages homeowner including the ability to make golf reservations by calling or booking online, sign up for classes, and use the regional sports pools. Prior to your arrival, I will reach out for the information needed for the passes (name, email address, home address, cell phone) and those can be picked up any day of the week at the Brownwood Sales Center, between 8 am and 5 pm.

After you pick up your Resident IDs, you can obtain Guest Passes for others in your party at any regional rec center (Eisenhower Rec Center is closest to this house). Guest Passes are free (no limit on how many), but golf reservations cannot be made with just Guest Passes. Guest Passes allow access to neighborhood adult and family pools (not regional sports pools), rec centers, and classes, but if availability is limited, Resident IDs are serviced first.

Pets:
Dogs and cats of any size are welcome with an additional $175 cleaning fee (in total, not per pet). Per the deed restrictions, a maximum of 2 pets is allowed. Pets must be on a leash at all times when outdoors, and pet owners are responsible for picking up after their pets. For your, and your canine’s enjoyment, there are several dog parks in The Villages. Please let me know if you are bringing a pet, and check the “Pets” box when booking. This helps us prepare for cleaning after you leave.

Check-in and check-out:
Prior to arrival, you will receive a four-digit code to use to enter the house. This code also works on the garage. Instructions will be provided. Check-in is at 4:00 pm or later. If the house is ready earlier, I will let you know. Also, if you arrive early (not before 10 am) and the house is not yet ready, you can leave your luggage in the garage and take the golf car out for a spin, or maybe go to pick up your Resident IDs or have lunch.

Check-out is at 10:00 am. Please leave by this time as the housekeepers will be arriving shortly thereafter. Leave all used linens and towels on the floor. Do not remove unused linens from beds. If you use the BBQ grill, please leave the cover off so we know it has been used. The key to the golf car, plus the remote and gate card should be left on the counter where you found them.

NOTE: Absolutely no RVs, trailers, Dually trucks, or boats can be parked at this property. Maximum of three cars. Also, this house is regularly rented to guests with pets. Please keep that in mind if you have severe allergies.
