Private beach. This entire castle is the best choice in Vancouver Island. Water front with beach and hot tub in the room with all opened windows.
Private place in 1.58 Acres land.
Perfect place for family or company event, wedding, friends hang out!

All bedrooms are ocean view. Could see sunrise or sunset or both.
The Coach House room could see stars at night.
New air conditioners installed all the rooms.

It’s a Entire house. 5000 sf
4 rooms in the castle and one room in the carriage house
Room 1 Master room, best view of sunrise. Large bathroom
Room 2 queen size bed (no shower/tub yet)
Room3 attic , 1 queen bed, 1 single bed (no shower/ tub yet)

Room 4 is a attached cottage which 900 square feet , jacuzzi tub , skylight on the roof on the top of the bed and in bathroom so you can see stars at night!

Room 5 1000sf king size bed + queen sofa bed + bar+ shower

It’s self-checkin. Good mattress. Professional cleaner doing the cleaning.

This is a place to enjoy the simple pleasures of country living with a five star view! Please note that the house is built in heritage style, therefore lacking some modern conveniences some people are accustomed to having. We suggest that you leave those values in the city, and embrace our humble

This house was perfect for our family of 6 children and 9 adults for 7 nights. We did bring 2 floor mattresses for the kids, and we did use them. The older children all slept in the bedroom on the top floor of the house. They loved it up there but the stairs to get to it are very steep. The only thing that we needed but didn’t have was a coffee grinder, although there was ground coffee provided. We loved the location of this house, we were close to town and a golf course. This is an older home with lots of character and little quirks that are expected in a home of its age. The kids swam every day. Bring water shoes. We fished from the kayaks and caught some crabs with nets. It was a fabulous vacation and we would book this house again.

Kitchen/deck have everything needed. Wi-Fi access is intermitent and poor. Furnishings a bit dated but adequated. Grandkids love the beach area and the kayak! Son caught and released undersized crabs! Son also grilled outdoors for us a couple of nights. Many good restaurants and local breweries near by.

Beautiful location

We had three families, 10 people, and it worked out very well. The younger kids loved being up in the crows nest. The views were exceptional. Lots of fun on the water kayaking. If you’re looking for a high end fancy resort keep looking. But if you want a great place to spend time with family this is it.

Amazing

Beautiful large home. Amazing ocean front property. Nice private beach. Deck's for days. Older home with a lot of charm, well lived in yet clearly loved. Makes for a great getaway where you don't have to feel like your kids are going to destroy the place.Every room has a larger bed and a small pullout of some sort which is an added bonus as each room can accommodate a small family. Each room also has its own toilet and small shower except the attic which has a toilet only. Makes it easy to live in as a group. The write-up state the attic stairs are steep and this is true. It is a true attic stair case so best for kids or adults with no fear of heights. Kids 8 will love the attic as its the perfect "fort style" hide-away from the adults. We had 2 single adults in it and they also appreciated the charm. A really unique and special home. We will come again.

Family of 10

The castle was a wonderful property for our 3 families of 3 different generations. Everyone had their one space and we were able to congregate in the main areas together, as well as go out on the water and have fun!

BEST WEEKEND. The castle is everything you dreamed of and more. It is beautiful. We had the best time there with family and friends. Spacious and beautiful!! WE SAW A WHALE!! Def recommend if you want to be with family, enjoy the beautiful water and hang with the locals. Thank you so much!!

Quick Stay

We were a group of students/adults that rented the house for the BC High School Provincial Track meet being held in Nanaimo. Location was amazing - nice quiet area, the views were stunning no matter where you were in the house. We did struggle a bit finding extra bedding but eventually figured it out. Also wish we would have known that one of the bedrooms was up a pretty steep staircase, we had some in our party that were not able to climb those stairs so it did make figuring out room configurations a bit tricky. Not sure if I just missed that part in the descriptions or not, but it all worked out in the end! All in all was a great place to stay!

Unforgettable Stay!

I held my 30th birthday here where we did a Murder Mystery party. The house was absolutely incredible, we were really stunned with the natural beauty and the cool character of the house. Although the listing said there may not be as modern conveniences as you expect, we didn't want for anything, and the character of the house made it such a memorable stay. Couldn't reccommend any higher!
