Our 4-season cottage a dream destination for a relaxing and adventurous getaway. Featuring 2 bedrooms plus a loft with 3 beds and 1 bathroom, guests will have plenty of space to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The large deck offers a perfect spot for outdoor dining or soaking up the sun, while the waterfront location with a dry cedar sauna,dock, canoe, 2 kayaks, paddle board and beach provides endless opportunities for water activities and relaxation.

During the fall, winter, and spring months, guests can stay cozy and warm with the convenience of a wood stove, and electric heat. The plowed roads ensure easy access even in the winter months, making it a hassle-free retreat in any season.

With attractions like Chutes Coulonge Park offering rock climbing, zip-lining, and a splash pad, as well as the exciting river rafting experiences at Espirit Whiteriver Worldwide, guests will have no shortage of adventures to embark on. The nearby golf course across the river provides a scenic setting for a leisurely day on the green, while the convenience of the town of Fort Coulonge just a 10-minute drive away ensures easy access to essentials like groceries, gas, restaurants, and a liquor store.

Great location right on a calm river suitable for swimming. Great dock and sandy beach area. Wonderful chalet with everything we needed to make our week comfortable. Groceries only 5 minutes away. Quiet and peaceful setting, dark night skies with beautiful stars. Would recommend!

We had an amazing stay. Check-in process was very easy and convenient. Moreover, we were welcomed with a smore making kit and a bottle of delicious wine which was a very nice touch. Host was very responsive to all my questions before and during our stay. Cottage location was amazing. Cottage was very clean and equipped with everything we needed inside and out. We had access to water equipment such as kayaks and paddle board which we used every day. Definitely a place we would consider going back to and I highly recommend it to others.

Relaxing oasis

The surroundings are clean and beautiful...This is a 5 star vacation property with gifts on the island when you arrive..Anisley was there if needed but we were more than content..The 6 of us ranged from seniors down to a 7 year old.Thank you so much Anisley for sharing the lodge with us.

Fort Coulonge Getaway

Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Bear Bottom Lodge. The cottage was exactly as depicted and was the perfect family getaway. Everything you could possibly need was there and we couldn’t have asked for a better week away! We’ll definitely be renting here again and hopefully we’ll be able to catch some fish next time!

Gorgeous, Cozy Cottage with All You Need to Enjoy Indoors and Outdoors (in a Beautiful Setting)!

The property is exactly what was listed and more! The cottage was stocked with items one might have forgotten, and there was a welcome bottle of wine for the adults, and a box of smores for the kids. Everyone enjoyed the canoe and kayaks, and the hamock was a huge hit! When it got chilly, we used the cozy wood fireplace. We were so happy that nobody wanted to leave. This is a perfect getaway for a family or couples. couples to leave.

Perfect Family Getaway

We had an incredible stay this past week. This cottage is the perfect mixture of modern and traditional, with great areas inside and out for everyone. Our family loved gathering at the giant island for meals, and eating outside too. From the pedal-boats and canoe to hanging out on the dock, this cottage has a bit of something for everyone. Plus peaceful evenings and the clearest night sky for star watchers. The owners answered all of our questions and made packing for this trip so easy. It felt like we were staying at a hotel, with the supplies they provided. The location is close to town for groceries and some of the best poutine we have ever had. This beautiful rental is definitely worth booking.

Fabulous vacation!

We had the most amazing stay! The house was gorgeous, the weather beautiful and the river was endless fun! We kayaked and swam in the river each day. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was one of the best stocked that we’ve visited. The house was immaculate and had places to sit that were in the shade all day. There was a platform by the river that was my favorite place to sit in the afternoon. We even enjoyed the hammock in the trees. There is a local golf course across the river that was fun! The name and phone number have changed- look up Mansfield golf to find the right number. My children highly recommend the zip lines at Chutes de Colounge. We are planning on visiting again!

Chalet magnifique

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end. C'est un magnifique chalet, bien situé sur le bord de la rivière Coulonge, très propre avec tout le nécessaire pour un beau séjour. L'hôte était facilement rejoingnable.Je recommande fortement ce chalet.
